- Q: My service engine light comes on for a couple weeks at a time and goes off for a couple of weeks at a time. I had the code read at auto zone ant it said a large emission leak (p 4045 i believe) so i replaced the gas cap to no avail. I do not understand why the light comes on and off so regularly if there is a problem. I would think it would just stay on. I just had an oxygen sensor replace less than a year ago for the same light for about $800. Do I really need to get this looked at or is there anything I can check myself?

- Q: i have a 2004 saturn vue, i just had the oil changed a few weeks ago and the change engine oil light just came on, it comes on when i start the car and stays on for about a minute i checked the manual and it says each time the oil is changed the engine oil light system needs to be reset is this the reason the light comes on? what do u think? reccommend? mechanics please! thx

- 1st ,its not normal for the pilot to be acting that way.if its a new one and sears installed it they should come out and replace it,no questions ask.i have friends that work for sears(i live in AL.) and from some of the things they tell me,they change stuff out for alot less than that,especially if its gonna take that long to get parts
