- Q: Hello , i have a 2005 mustang gt STANDARD, and while i was learning on it the battery light came up. I popped open the hood and realized that the hooks on the battery some what look melted, yeah i stalled it alot i looked like i was stalling it like a bronco, anyways the battery light came up, and the cars starts up regularly has never died on me , i have never had to give it current, it has somewhat crank a bit when i turned off the car and left the radio on for a bit, but nothing serious, is a bad alternator , bad battery or those hooks that melted?? I seriously done f*cked up on stalling it but do you guys have any idea what that check charging system means ? Thanks!!
- Repair the battery cable clamps and make sure the ground cable isn't loose where it bolts to the motor. Then go to an auto parts store and have the battery and charging system tested. They do that as a free service.
- Q: After I changed the deck (using toyota wiring harness), and adding a sub and amp the lights for my dashboard instruments doesn‘t work. The signals work and when I flash the high beams the light comes on but I cant get the speedometer or gas to light up so I cant see anything in the dark. Why is this? When wiring the deck there were left over wires such as an orange one, and a blue one (which said Ant Rem). How do I fix this? I looked around online and it might be the fuse thats blown. Where can I buy another fuse in toronto, ontario and how do I replace it myself because the Toyota Dealership is asking me for $110 not including labour.Thanks in advance.
- Again I'm going to voice back what the other people have said, you really do need to call a professional to remove the asbestos safely and also to dispose of it safely. As your likely to know, when a piece of asbestos breaks, the particles can be breathed in by people which are very harmful. Your local council will have services to remove it. It doesn't cost too much money either.

- Q: I have a 2001 Grand Prix GT with the 3.8 and auto. Today while sitting at a light the car idled normally, but when I have it gas it shut off. It took about 30 seconds before it would restart. There has been no issue since then. Other issues with the car would be occasionally the tach will stop working and the traction light will come on and there is a weird smell occasionally with the heater on.

- If the engine light is on then your computer is showing a problem in the system you will need to run a code check.Check with your local auto parts some will run the code scan for free as long as you buy the parts there if not you can buy cheap code readers under 30.00 if you take it to a shop here in California they will charge you 65.00

- Q: The engine on my ‘05 VW Passat recently flooded while driving in low area during heavy rain. Had everything fixed and car is running perfectly. Yesterday the check engine light came on but the car seems to be running perfectly. What should I check?
- Go to an auto parts store and have it scanned for free. They will tell you what code(s) are present and what they mean. Likely a sensor has gotten wet, tripping the check engine light. It may be able to be dried out with some WD-40, or it may have to be replaced.

- Something is wrong with your Active Torque Transfer System. Essentially that's your computer-controlled traction control system. If you don't want to take it in to a mechanic (for this I'd recommend someone that specializes in Hondas), you could use a code scanner to download the error codes from the computer to get more information. Most auto parts stores will have one you can borrow for free to use in the parking lot.

- I suggest you charge your battery tonight, and go down to the auto parts in the morning or whenever and have the charging system and starter checked by the auto parts store, they have a machine they can bring out, But as your battery gets discharged it gets worse and worse and to answer your question YES ITS POSSIBLE THE ALTERNATOR IS BAD
