- The permanent press cycle has a feature that gradually cools down the water which helps eliminate wrinkles. I do not wash my clothes in hot water so I don't use that cycle.I believe using hot water is what makes clothes become worn out looking so quickly .I do use the permanent press cycles on my dryer, which also gradually cools down. If I take the clothes out as soon as the dryer is done and hang them up they have no wrinkles and really look great.
- Q: I saw press on nail polish and I was wondering how it actually stays on your nails.
- Press-on nail polish is more like stickers for your nails. You remove the backing and you stick them on your nails. You may want to cut them to suit your nail shape. It gives your nails an effect of wearing nail polish.You don't have to wait for it to dry like nail polish.
- Q: I am really into photography and want to go to some concerts and take pictures. I have a dslr and everything. I am going to a one direction concert in the summer and really would like to bring my camera. I was planning to get some experience with photographing concerts then get a job taking pictures for a local radio station of something so I could get a press pass. I am 15 would they allow me to have one? Thanks!
- At age 15, no. They do know that you're too young to be employed by a newspaper or magazine. Press passes are given to those who are doing paid gigs with articles for publication. Local radio is not going to use much for visuals, tv or newspapers or even locally published magazines would but radio, by definition, is sound based. Their own staff take the images they need for their station's website. I'd say try asking about internships (they're generally unpaid volunteer work) but you're too young to employ even with a work permit. You have to be 16 in most states to have one of those.
- Q: I have a rotator cuff tear and can't perform bench presses. What are other chest exercises I can do?
- Depending on which rotator cuff muscle your tore, you may be able to do flys. I wouldn’t recommend the dumbbell flys. The machine that does pec and deltoid flys will probably be your best bet. I would imagine that push ups would be out of the question. The fly machine isolates the pecs more and does not use a lot of the shoulder (deltoids) muscles. Try that exercise and see if it works for you. If you recently tore it, then you really need to rest it and seek physical therapy. I tore my supraspinatus and was out for about a month and a half - I did not do physical therapy. I have lost about 40% on my bench. It is getting better - slowly, it has been 2 years. FYI: The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) published a study on the effectiveness of the incline and decline bench presses. It basically said that those two routines are no more effective than the flat bench, military press (overhead shoulder press), and chin ups. In other words, they are a waste of time. - Both work the same target muscles. The chest press does alot of the stablising for you so not as many assistant muscles are used. The bench press is a progression of the chest press. When you are able to use the chest press and maintain perfect form then you are ready to progress to the bench press. Because you need more stability when performing a bench press it will be harder and you should find that you can not lift as heavy at first. If you have not used the bench press before start light and make sure you have someone to spot you. Once you have mastered the bench press you can progress to a dumbell press and then to a single arm DB press.
- Q: What should an athletic 16 year old male about six foot three, that weighs about 160 pounds bench press.
- Well, the answer can be subjective since not every one is the same. Generally speaking, you should be able to bench press your own body weight for reps. The build of your physique does affect your bench press as well. For example, a tall lanky guy with longer arms is somewhat at a disadvantage in comparison to a shorty stocky guy with short arms who's range of motion is naturally less.
- Q: 6th grade girl basketball coach,were going to be playing alot of teams that press alot and i need a easy press breaker for these girls cause we were put into the league late and dont have alot of time to work on it from what little i seen on acouple of teams play last year they play alot of man to man full court with an occasional double team.one advantage i got is i can have 3 or 4 descent ball handlers at the same time.but if i can countinously beat their press and force them to try to slow the game down i can put my best player in,shes hefty but a muscle inside we can shut from outside with no fear cause she boxes out so well shell get the rebound and in result give us 20 pts a game but shes so hefty she cant handle the fast pace game so please help me come up with a soluton thanks
- My team used a very easy press break. It's a bit hard to explain, but when it comes together, it works like a dream. - First, you have two players on either side of the court, waiting for the inbound. - Once inbounded, the Passer, steps into the center of the court. - They pass amongst themselves till they find an opening in the press. - Meanwhile, there are two other people standing at about midcourt, on both sides. - The person at midcourt standing opposite the side the ball is on will run to the middle of the floor looking for possible passes. - If the ball is passed to them, he/she can either bring the ball up more or turn, and pass to the opposite side. Press is broken. Sorry, it's very hard to explain. Down below, I made you a picture to illustrate what I mean. X's are your team. - Q: Luckily, my acne has gone down, and it isn't too bad now. I still have to cover up some areas though. Normally, I put on a liquid concealer then a finishing powder to well, finish the look. However, sometimes I need to touch up and I can't exactly whip out a loose powder at any time so I want to try a pressed powder compact. Would this work fine? Any particular brands that you like? - Q: How long do pressed flowers last without them falling apart? I bought pressed flowers from a brand called Pressed Petals, but don't know how long they'll last. Would they last at least a year or two?
- If you are pressing the flowers yourselfmy sugestion would be to put them in the center of a book with paper, paper towels, or somthing to absorb the moisture, so as to not damage the book. stack a couple of bricks on top and let sit there for least 6 mos. then once it has dried you can usually expect them to last for a very long time. another option is to dip them in a clear urethane, or clear wax for preservation. don't dip more then 3-4 times in either substance as it will make the flower look dull. good luck
