- Q: I want to start dumbbell chest press to expand my chest and muscles. I'm a begginer and doing this first time. I'm 32 year male with 140lb weight. Can anybody help me to find out what size (meant weight in lb) I have to start with? And as a begginer how many repetations per day I have to start with?
- To find the right weight of dumbells is kind of like guess and check. If you can bust out 10+ reps without any difficulty, then you'd have to bring the weight up. If you can do no more than 5 reps you are using too much weight. Find the right weight for you to do 7-8 reps with difficulty with 2-3 sets. Since your a beginner I'd suggest for you to do 7-8 reps, but as you get more advanced try to go to failure.

- leg press can be too easy with the 45 degree thing, much better progress and larger muscles can come doing squats and its better for flexibility as well yes bad circulation will exhaust your muscles and the bigger the muscles the bigger the effect. maybe you need some hypoxic training?

- im pretty sure squating is all with your legs.. imagine a dog in the backyard :) wait... scratch that. that's just gross. squating and leg pressing work different muscles in your legs.. neither one is better than the other.. it just helps a different area. squats are DEFINITELY going to help your quads and glutes and leg presses work basically the quads, glutes, and your hamstring. 13 years old is not too young.
