- No. Pushups are totally different. Try doing ten pushups then ten benches. DIfferent parts of your body hurt right? So quite simply, they aren't the same.

- I'm assuming that you mean shoulder press, or military press. From my knowledge, military press is performed in front of the shoulders and shoulder press behind. I also know of many top bodybuilders that will not do the rear shoulder press, or even pull downs behind the neck, as it is arguably bad for your shoulders. If you are pressing or pulling something with your shoulders right back, they are at their maximum range of movement. Military press allows your shoulders to move in a much freer, more natural way. Personally, I'm not convinced that there are any additional benefits to doing presses and pulls behind the neck - you can get all the benefits you want from in front exercises. Don't just listen to me though. Many people still do these exercises and some people swear that they are beneficial.
- Q: When wondering if a guy is strong the other person will always ask how much the guy bench presses. But I can kick the crap out of people in football by popping and tackling them and even won a couple fights against people saying they can bench like a 150 pounds. I know they can do it though but I can only bench press 100 pounds like 2 times but am stronger than people who bench more than me. Does it just mean that I have a weak chest or that bench press means nothing or that I;m weak?
- I don't know, does it? If your a competitive power lifter then it certainly does, but no more so than the squat and deadlifts. If your not a competitive lifter then it only matters to your ego. Do you feel the need to impress others, or are you happy enough in yourself? Don't get pulled into other peoples insecurities, train, get stronger or faster or better at whatever it is you're training for, let your actions do the talking while the other strut around bragging.

The libel laws are important, but that generally does not protect major media figures. Swift boating uses stories about stories to get out negative impressions without lying. The neocons have funded this strategy repeatedly. The media just keeps reporting it. Unfortunately, the major media does not tred on very important and sensitive areas.
