Q:I was reading the news and I just didn't know how those words are different;( if a person is 'accused' that person is not really 'proved' as guilty right? what about convicted and charge? and I was wondering what drop/ press charges mean Thanks in advance!
to accuse means to claim that someone did something. It is definitely not yet proven. Press charges means to legally file a claim of criminal conduct. The charge is the legal accusation, a statement of what the person is supposed to have done and what law was violated by doing that. It is still not proven. A conviction, in legal sense, means that the person has been tried, been brought to court and found guilty, meaning that the accusation has been judged to have been proven. A conviction means that the accusation is considered to be true by those people who have the job to make that decision. To drop charges means that the police have decided that there is not enough proof of the truth of the accusation to justify pressing charges. Generally this means that there is not much proof of the accusation, with the suggestion that the accusation was false. It might be simply a case of there not being enough evidence to demonstrate the truth of the accusation, rather than a judgement of falsehood of the accusation. Either way, though, the result is the same. The charge is removed. In our western legal system, the general idea is that a person is considered innocent until proven guilty. The decision turns on whether there is proof of guilt, rather than proof of innocence. The problem with this is, of course, that an innocent person does not usually get to prove his innocence, and thus even if found not guilty, or even if charges are dropped, there is always some doubt as to whether the person is actually innocent, or simply got away with doing something because there wasn't enough proof. being not guilty is not exactly the same as being innocent. Being innocent is definitely being not guilty, but not guilty is not definitely being innocent.
Q:I recently started lifting heavier with much lower reps and hit the 400 pound bench press. I am looking to try for the 450 mark. I was curious as to what kind of Routines and styles people use/used that helped them reach goals. I am currently 5'8 and very lean at about 185lbs give or take about 5lbs. Eating is the hardest task for me because I lack a big appetite, however I try to eat 3 solid meals a day with a snack or 2 in between. Mainly Chicken and Rice. I am curious about length of workouts/exercises/routines/rep ranges/supplements. I use some cheap generic protein to cut down on costs along with Jack3d for my pre workout drink.
400 lbs 185 lbs is nearly elite, assuming your form is good and you're not doing it on a Smith press and are doing FULL reps to your chest and back up. Do you squat, clean, or deadlift at all? With 400 lbs on a bench press you should be lifting four plates on each side easily for deads.
Q:Did johannes gutenberg ONLY invent the printing press or did he invent something else
I can't find any information about anything else Johannes Gutenberg invented. In 1440, German inventor Johannes Gutenberg invented a printing press process that, with refinements and increased mechanization, remained the principal means of printing until the late 20th century. The inventor's method of printing from movable type, including the use of metal molds and alloys, a special press, and oil-based inks, allowed for the first time the mass production of printed books. The Gutenberg Bible - 1455 AD - The First Book Ever Printed is Gutenberg's Bible which is the Latin Vulgate. (Edit - It was in Latin not in English or German) 1535 AD: Myles Coverdale's Bible; The First Complete Bible printed in the English Language.
Q:I'm planning on ordering a makeup kit from okorder . I've been told that pressed powder gives you a matte finish, but what is the difference between this and finishing powder?
okai pressed powder is better for the 1st time you apply on the make up, but if you need to touch up your make up you must used finishing powder. so your make up wont look so thick and sometimes uneven. btw you need to clean the oil on your face before you touch up your make up.
Q:My uncle used to be a body builder and remains as a very fit person at the age of 57. He is getting me into lifting and I am buying a ez curl bar and dumbell weight set with collars (so useful) and I am wondering if I put a mat down on my basement floor if I could floor press with an ez curl bar? What would this exercise target and how do I specifically do it? Is it safe to do solo?
Why don't you ask your Uncle? Yes, you can press with an EZ curl bar but you'll want to keep your grip wide, beyond the bends in the bar. You can also press with dumbells..and you can do flys with them as well. Only you can know how safe it is. I can't know how you're training, so I can help you with safety. Just be careful and see if you can get a bench. You're going to need one. Good luck and good health!! ?
Q:I want to know how to use a French Press and I don't feel like Googling it.
Boil water. Now I use 1 1/2 scoops per 8oz cup because I think coffee should taste like coffee. I use a 16oz cup. So I put 3 scoops of coffee into the Press. When the water boils, I fill the Press to about 1 1/2 inches from top. I set a timer for 4 minutes and stir coffee once. When timer goes off press down and pour. Use a coarse ground coffee so as not to clog the Press filter.
Q:im writing a paper about gutenberg and the printing press, and how it affects Europe during the renaissance, and im stuck.so how did the printing press affect Europe during the renaissancesomeone help me please and thankyou=]
One large effect which you should include in your paper is the ability of the printing press to distribute the ideas of European church reformer Martin Luther after 1517. This was the Protestant Reformation fueled by printed writings of Luther and others. Luther translated the bible into German so people (who could read German but not Latin) could read it for the first time. Of course many could not read their own language in the 1500's, but there was always someone in the community who would read printed materials to groups of people. Books had been rare and unobtainable by all but the very rich until the advent of the printing press. The press allowed the spread of many ideas - religious and political being chief among them. Print was the first mass media. News sheets, opinion pamphlets, and books became possible for the first time. I should add that the established Roman Catholic Church of the late 1400's and early 1500's would murder those who tried to distribute the bible in the languages of the people - - and the Church would murder them as painfully as possible to discourage the others. A case in point is William Tyndale who translated the bible into English, was arrested, tried for heresy, and burnt at the stake in 1536. The Church feared allowing people to read the bible for themselves because that threatened the well paid and privileged position of the clergy.
Q:What are the benefits/results of both of these bench press'?As i'm not quite sure which one to do.
Flat is for chest and Incline is more for shoulders
Q:my shirts say tumble dry low but my dryer only has tumble press. is it the same?
No, actually it isn't the same. Regular Perm Press it hotter that Perm Press low. I also have the same issue. What I do is, put them on for about 5-10 min on Perm press, then 15-20 min on air. The heat from the regular Perm press stays in the dryer but doesn't keep getting hotter, and the then the air cools it off. Sometimes I go back and forth between the two until it is dried.
Q:tomorow in the football tryouts we have to lift 100lb at bench press any tip for it?
There should be a ridged part of the bar its like Put ur hands thumbs length to the outside of the length part, and tell your spotter to lift the bar when you count to 5. So count 1,2,3,4,5. As soon as he's lifting it take a deep breath and slowly bring it down to you're chest, and push it all the way up. Breath Out, Then bring back down, and repeat, etc.
