- I don't understand why new photographers gravitate towards Music Photography but here's the jist of it. 1.To shoot music, you must first understand light and what it does under specific camera settings and then master that. Unless you are working for the band, you have 3 songs to get your shots for publication. And these shots need to be good or you're never going to work for that publication again. Music photography is a small very small business, but there are 100 other photographers who want to be where you are, and you are replaceable. 2. Unless you're working for a publication you won't be able to get a press pass. Because of your age you won't be able to get into Bars to build of a portfolio, and judging by your taste of music (from what you showed us) you won't be going to a local post-hardcore show where you will be able to bring your camera into. 3. Keep at it with photography, go to shows (you don't need to like the music to shoot it), make connections, and then capitalize on those. The music industry is a tough place for a women, but keep at it. Hard work pays off.
- Q:i'd like to heat press som letters onto the back of my under armour. is this possible? if yea, are there any special precations to take take? will any store that heatpresses letters do it? thanks for the help
- Under Armour, Dri-Fit and other performance fabrics can be heat pressed, but they are not the same as a nylon or polyester jersey, and that is important to know when you put lettering on. Because Under Armour is made to stretch, you want lettering that can stretch with your shirt without peeling off, cracking or wrinkling. If you take your shirt to a shop for heat pressing, you'll want them to promise you that the material they're using is made for performance fabrics. Ask them if they have a sample you can touch and stretch for yourself. One heat-press material made for performance fabric is STAHLS' SuperFILM. Right now, it comes on a roll, not pre-cut lettering. But, if the shop has a vinyl cutter, they should be able to cut SuperFILM and do your name or design easily. Good luck!

If the school newspaper is staffed by student reporters, but it is the teachers that have ultimate authority over the content, than there is no problem with Teachers limiting what the paper publishes. Just like a regular newspaper. The reporters don't get to decide what gets printed. They cover and write the story, and it is the editors who decide what runs and what doesn't, and if someone higher up in the paper tells the editor that they won't be running a certain story, it doesn't get run. Furthermore, since the student newspaper is in fact a government run operation, it's not really the press.

- Yes you can! Most people say to use translucent to set your concealer, but I think a pressed powder with some color in it is perfectly fine. It will give you very minimal coverage so don't add too much or the concealer will be visible. Pressed powder will be better for you anyways since you said you had oily skin. - Q:I'm currently using the Prescriptives Flawless SkinTotal Protection and when I apply it in the morning it looks great on my skin once it dries, but 3 hours later my face looks very oily. I have never used powder over my foundation before. I wanted to make my skin look natural when wearing foundation, so thats why I was afraid to use the powder plus foundation. Should I use the Prescriptives pressed powder or the loose powder to help control the shiny look?
- loose is good to apply directly after foundation to help mattify...it provides light coverage when applied with a brush. pressed is great to carry with you for easy touch ups.
