- Q: I have oil heat, with forced air.. We have, what we believe to be, is an air intake vent on the floor.. no heat comes out so we think it just pulls air in. Can I put a sofa over it? There is like an inch or two of clearance from the bottom of the sofa to the floor.
- Putting the sofa over the intake may hinder the intake a bit, but as long as it is not blocked completely, air is getting in, so I think you are fine.
- Q: Can you use a futon mattress on a sofa bed?
- You will have to measure both to see if it would fit since futons are the same size but sofas are not. Also you would have to see if the place the mattress folds is at the same place the sofa will be matching that fold.

- Q: My neighbor is moving this week and had offered me her sofa and end tables. She didn't say that she wanted any $ for it, and when I asked her she said Don't worry about it!. Should I still give her something for the sofa and tables? The sofa looks to be in good condition but there is a spot on the back edge where her cat had clawed and the dust cover underneath is torn, and it stinks like cat. - in answer to your first question, i would say no, you dont have to give her any money. they are moving and a) probably glad they dont have to pay the movers to move it or b) going to buy a new one when they move anyway. i would offer some help moving or packing or something instead of the cash. as for your second answer, we have been happy with Spot Shot for our dog stains. good luck, enjoy your new sofa ...

- a lint roller , or if you wet a cloth , squeeze it practically dry and wipe down the sofa , or get wide selotape and use that to take off the hair!! to be honest the damp cloth works best for me!!

- Q: My son's pull-up leaked over on to my parents brand new sofa!! Fortunately he was only leaned against the cushion, so the foam isn't soaked through. Using real wood and heavy duty springs, along with quality stuffing ( padding ), that will last for years and isn't full of possible bugs, will cost more. A sofa using the cheapest of materials could be manufactured from $300 to $500, or a quality sofa would likely cost upwards of $1,000 to manufacture. These are costs to make the sofa. The price could nearly double by the time it was at the furniture store! There's an old saying...You get exactly what you pay for! It is very true!
