- Q: So 2 weeks ago tomorrow I got a now almost 12 week old Springador. He's lovely and a great addition to the family - but I can't stop worrying about his legs as he usually jumps off the sofa randomly. Most of the time, we'll be able to tell when he's going to jump and lift him down but I can't help but worry that he's really going to hurt himself. Should I stop him coming on the sofa completely, or is it actually going to hurt him?
- I am not sure what a springador is....a size and weight and body type profile would be more helpful. Made up breeds can look like one or the other. That said, do you want a dog that is going to be on the furniture when he grows up and gets however large his type of mutt (he is a mutt, no matter what name you make up to call him) will get? Some people think its cute when the puppy is on the bed, but then when the puppy grows up to be an 80lb dog jumping on your bed it is no longer cute. So decide if you want him on the furniture for the rest of his life. For ME personally I do not mind small dogs (under 10 lbs) on the furniture, but I would not want a large dog on my furniture, it gets hard to keep clean, drool, hair, smell, and some dogs like to chew furniture, but that is all personal preference! Be careful with him jumping off your sofa, I also have no idea how high your sofa is, if he is landing on hard tile or a soft rug, all these things make a difference on the danger level! In all likelihood he is not going to hurt himself, but keep in mind that he will think I can jump off anything I can get on and that IS dangerous! I have see people's dogs jump off REALLY high things and injure themselves. Make sure he also understands that just because he can jump that high it does not mean it is ok for him to go anywhere he can jump. My Papillion can jump onto my kitchen table if she wants to - but she does not because she knows that is a no-no so think about those types of things as well when training your new dog. Good luck!

- Everyone has great suggestions. What has worked for me is products from Natures Miracle. They are natural products that actually break down the enzymes and eliminate them. They carry different formulas for different problems from urine stains to skunk odor remover. I get mine from Dr.'s Fosters and Smith, but I think Amazon may carry them also. They are white bottles with red labels.

- Q: I saw a reasonably priced open up sofa bed in leather at Jennifer sofa The bedframe is standard. I'd need to put extra padding under the mattress to be comfy. In another store I saw a sofa not leather for similar price where the sales person said the frame is made by a company in business for 80yrs still need extra padding under mattress. I read several reviews about Jennifer sofa leather sofa not good thumbs down.But I love the look of leather. The differance between these two sofa beds is apprx 300$. Don't tell me no brainer.Please offer knowleable advice How to know if you're buying a quality sofa bed for under 1000. How to pick out a good open up bed part. - We had a sofa bed at our cottage that was a very good brand. After sleeping on it for a couple of nights we we're really sorry. It was the worst I had evr slept on. Maybe you should consider a day bed. With that you could get a good mattress of your own .

- You can get anti tabbacco shake, oust is a air freshner which eliminates the smells rather than covering them up, try bicarbonate of soda just shake some on the sofa or any where else it smells leave for 30 minutes and hoover the bicarbonate of soda off it, it should smell.... well clean.

- You can use it, but it's going to feel a bit weird because the fold out bed part is what adds support/stability to the piece when it's being used as a sofa. All I can say is try it to see if it will be comfortable for you. If you find the manufacturer's tag on it, you can always contact the maker to find out if replacement mattress bed mechanism is available for the model that you have. If so, and you decide to order, just know that you'll have to have it installed by someone who works with upholstered furniture.

- I would do this only if I had seen the sofa in person and could verify its' quality. Which means, if the website is for a store that you can visit and you have visited the store and like the sofa but like the online price better, go for it. Without seeing the sofa I would not buy it. You cannot verify quality online and making returns/adjustments is a bigger hassle from an online company. Buying big ticket items without knowing what you are getting is risky.
- Q: I brought home a new microsuede sofa, and didn't even think about the static problem, until my 3-year old daughter sat down on it. - You have a static problem due to dry heat. If you add water into the air with a humidifier, the static problem will go away. You are right to think about using Static Guard. It will work wonders on the static electricity problem you are experiencing. If you shake the can well and begin spraying from a distance (24), the mist will cover the ara nicely. I would not use dryer sheets on the microsuede sofa.
