- Q: I moved recently, and the sofa that I had in my apartment will not fit into the house I moved into. I was told that it is possible that the back can be removed. Does anyone know how to do this?
- You can tell if the back will come off if it looks like a panel covering the back. If so, use a flat bar or screwdriver and carefully pry it off. If it doesn't look like a panel, it won't come off.
- Q: what would you recommend for a large sofa -- about 98-100 long and about 38 deep? standard covers are too small. are there any companies that cater to bigger sofas?oh and i do not want want to make my own. i do not have the skills or time. thanks...
- OMG would take all of 5 mins as a Joann's find a piece of material you like, tell the person how big your sofa is they will assist you to cut a big enough piece to cover the entire sofa like a sheet. Don't turn it into a slip cover just use it like a sheet enjoy! Best of luck to us all, ciao. GAH

- Q: Obviously, the PB sofa is nicer, but it costs three times as much. PB offers more choice of fabrics, but with a toddler, I think maybe I should just get a basic white that I can spot bleach when something gets spilled. On the other hand, in a few years, I might be really annoyed if I have to buy a whole new sofa from Ikea rather than just a new slipcover from PB, although a whole sofa from Ikea is still cheaper than a slipcover from PB.Any advice?
- It sounds like you'd really rather have the PB couch and I don't blame you! As you've said, you can clean the slipcovers! Just because you have a toddler doesn't mean you can't have nice things. It's good to teach them early to be careful of your furnishings. You are choosing between two extremes, though. PB is really pricey. Check out some other furniture stores and see if there's something in-between that you'd like. If you live in the south, try Dillard's. Also, leather is beautiful and holds up well with kids and dogs...mine has weathered both for 10 years and still looks new!

Let me go get the can and see what the name of it is. OK it is a Furniture Care Kit. It works on Fabric, Leather and wood. It has 4 different bottles inside along with sponges and clothes. It's made by Stainsafe and Leather Master out of Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33418. I am sure there are other type products on the market besides just this one. Be careful what you use on your sofa. - I think what you're looking for is a FUTON. With a futon sofa, the back of the sofa that you lean against while sitting folds down flat to make a bed. A sofa bed, on the other hand, looks like a regular sofa, but you remove the bottom seat cushions to pull the bed out, which folds out from under where you generally sit. A day bed, as someone suggested, is simply a twin bed that pushes up against the wall on the long side, with the headboard running the length of the bed (whereas, on a normal twin bed, the headboard is narrow, and sits at the head of the bed).
- Q: I bought a used microfiber sofa and didn't notice until we got it home that it smells strongly of cologne. I called the pro's and had it cleaned but after everything was dry the scent is a little better but still there (I'm sensitive to smells). I have read about using vodka or vinegar but I don't want to ruin the upholstery. Any suggestions?
- You might also try setting the couch in the direct sunlight for a day, minimum.
- Q: At our house, the litter box reeks because nobody will empty it. There are always fresh stains on the curtains sofa from territory marking, not to mention the moldy Kibble ground into the carpet at every feeding. I can't imagine how it could be worse - unless, of course, we had pets...

- i've got tried to sell multiple sofas over the years and interior the tip i've got given them to charity. I paid ?750 for each chair. that they had hardly been used and that i in my opinion had to offer them to a charity yet no person needed them. i could no longer have self assurance it yet it is what you're up against. If somebody has presented you any funds at involved by them yet will take them off your hands i could in basic terms take the money and run, i in my opinion could. that's particularly disappointing i comprehend yet as constantly that's all to do with grant and insist and as we now stay in a 'throw away' society there has a tendency to be greater grant than there is call for and that's not probably probably to alter so do in basic terms away with them the proper way you are able to.
