- Q:I am looking for a living room set that includes a sofa bed instead of just the regular kind of sofa. I dont need end tables or lamps or anything else. Just a sofa, chair, and ottoman. I can spend between $1000-2000 on the three items. I live in Kansas City and can't seem to find anything like this at the three places I have been to so far (Nebraska Furniture Mart, Home Rooms Furniture, and Rent-A-Center). I do not need financing.

- Q:Now more clearly, how would you change the color of the pale yellow-green sofa by painting the walls? What would be 6 good color options for the wall, that would affect the hue, value, or saturation of the yellow-green?
- I think you could warm it up by using an orange or red colour. When I say orange, I mean a copper or burnished orange (pumpkin spice or even terra cotta) - nothing like those bright orange garbage bags! A soft green (like a moss or lichen colour) would also look nice. Blues would make the room look cool and yellows - well it might be over kill. I would go to the renovation store (home depot, home hardware, Rona...) and pick colours that you like. You could even do just an accent wall with a dark red or orange, behind the couch, and then find a complimentary colour to paint the remaining walls. That is what I did - a deep merlot (red wine) colour with an off white that has a pinky undertone. I never thought I would use PINK on my walls but it compliments well and is very soothing and warm. Go figure! Anyway, go and experiment! Have fun with it! Bring deep luxurious colours into your home! It'll help tone down the sofa if that is your goal!

- You can use it, but it's going to feel a bit weird because the fold out bed part is what adds support/stability to the piece when it's being used as a sofa. All I can say is try it to see if it will be comfortable for you. If you find the manufacturer's tag on it, you can always contact the maker to find out if replacement mattress bed mechanism is available for the model that you have. If so, and you decide to order, just know that you'll have to have it installed by someone who works with upholstered furniture.

- I have had a red sofa for a few years now, actually I have had two different ones. I keep the rest of my living room pretty neutral and the red pops. I also have red Accents around the room like candles and pictures. I have a zebra rug though and it looks so good with the red sofa but that's not for every one. I have found that it is versatile, but I don't want to change things up much. If you aren't going to stick to it I would say get a neutral color.

- Hit the Thrift and Consignment Shops! This can be alot of fun and you can get great deals. I just move into a new home and our old sofa did not go well with it's style so we took some time and found a great sectional, just like new, for $125. We wanted new retro style, because we are remodeling a 1950's house, and it's a Thayer Coggin awesome piece! :) It takes some time and patience, but it pays off. Check out each piece for wear, and such, and talk to the owners about the price, it's usually negotiable. We had to stop in often to catch the new things that came in and bought as soon as we saw it. So have fun and shop it up! We have a like new retro sofa with NO payments! You can get yours with your own style, too.

- It says the Thickness: 7 1/8 That is typically too thick and will not fold back down into the sofa. Traditionally sofa beds are known for not being very comfy. To thin, so you cannot build it with enough padding or coils. You may want to use the existing mattress and just add a topper too it for comfort.
