- Q:So last night I my senior cat done something seriously weird.She climbed under the large cushion in my sofa and began to curl up to sleep.This is a fairly heavy sofa cushion, so it can't have been comfortable.She usually sleeps in her bed, which is right beside the sofa, or on top of the sofa.I was just wondering if anyone has any idea why she did this, if anyone has experienced anything like this before or is my cat just a total weirdo?Thanks in advance.
- Lol, thats normal, you cat just wants to sleep somewhere warm and safe, in this case, inside a sofa. Cats usually like to hide and sleep somewhere where they aren't visible. Tha's completely normal. If you take off the cushion of of my sofa, there is a bog hole, and when I once took it off, my cat climbed inside my sofa! Kind of like what your cat wanted to do. I had to throw a ball for him to get out and run after it. You can is normal, he is just wanted to sleep somewhere hidden.
- Q:I am wondering how a faux leather couch holds up. How it does with time after its been used, with people sitting, stains, scratches, things like that. Will it still look ok after some time?? I'm looking into getting a couch that is fake leather upholstery.
- I, too, am interested in the fake leather. I have some real leather furniture and while it has held up pretty well, I have a couch that I've had for 8 years that just looks awful because my animals have scratched it up - I'm sure that if one of my kids were to stab it with a pencil, that would also make a hole in it, I don't really know if that is unique to fake leather. And my two toddlers love to jump on it and have also been known to take washable magic markers too it (washed off, but I'm sure that having washable markers helped with that). I also have a chair that was purchased at the same time and so far it looks good, but my animals don't sleep on it like they do on the couch. We have fake leather bar stools that we have probably only had for 3 or 4 years but we use them a lot for meal time and the kids spill all sorts of food on them and they are just as easy to clean as the real leather and they still look like new. Not the same use as a couch I know, but still, I haven't noticed anything staining them (of course, they are black). Maybe there are differences between good quality faux leather furniture and bad quality faux leather furniture? Not sure that this really answers your question, but I think that if you know that your couch is going to take a lot of abuse, maybe paying more for real leather isn't worth it. If I'm correct, another answer indicated that, with normal use a faux leather couch will last 8 years, and while my use probably isn't normal with my animals, that's how long my expensive leather couch has lasted.
- Q:The sofa was from a house that got flea infested last year but they don't have fleas now so I thought my cat wouldn't get fleas. To be sure, 3 days before I moved in the sofas, I gave my cat a dose of advantage ii. A day after the sofas were moved in, a fat flea jumped off my cat onto my hand, it was very much alive. Didn't think advantage ii was working so the vet gave me revolution. Dosed her with revolution, a week after that dose a tiny baby flea jumped off my cat onto me. I thought it was ok because it was a baby flea but I went ahead and vacuumed the whole house sprayed knockout spray by virbac.. 3 weeks passed then I dosed her with revolution again a week ago and today as I was cleaning out the litterbox, a fat flea jumped onto me then jumped off before I could kill it. Am I crazy to be using revolution? What should I use on my cat? She is still overgrooming and I want to get rid of these pests before it gets too bad. Thank you sorry for the long post!
- Get some medicated powder and pour it on the sofa, I have a feeling the sofa still has them, you also can buy some flea powder. Put it on the sofa Fleas are something you just have to keep trying to get rid of, their eggs hatch over and over again. Vacuum the heck out of it. Get some lemons and peel them, take the peelings and place in a container, boil water and put the (2 cups of hot water per lemon peeling) in the container and allow to sit for 24 hours, Then strain the lemon water. Place in a spray bottal and spray your couch and wash the cat down starting from the head to the tail. Lemon water kills fleas dead in seconds. They also protect the cat from any fleas that want to jump back on, they HATE lemon smell.

- I would Go with really Pretty Beige and some nice cream pillows and you should even through in some nice Gray bluish Accents. With a nice Throw Blanket and some Nice Pictures. Or you could do a nice cream colored couch or even a off white , like egg shell color , don't do white that wont look good.

- Contact SCS directly, explain the sofa picture you need and ask where you can see the picture online. It may be they dropped the page with the picture (especially if it has been 2 years). If they have ask if they can send you a copy via text or email? If someone other than SCS manufactured the sofa, find out the name and look them up online, they may still be carrying the picture but selling the sofa to someone other than SCS now.

- Use a carpet cleaner like Spot Shot. If that doesn't work try drycleaning fluid. Polyester does not absorb stains that deep so it usually cleans up with a little work.
