- Q: We have a small living room with a medium size window in. We currently have a very large (takes up most of the space) corner sofa in dark red and also the carpet is in red. So basically its very red in a small room. We want to decorate the room maybe with a feature wall opposite the sofa or behind it? We are really stuck for ideas and could do with some help of what colours to use in the room! We currently have one black feature wall and its very dark so would like something different from that, any suggestions would be helpful.ThanksNat
- Because you have a small living room and a corner sofa that takes up most of the room, a feature wall is probably not a good idea. Because the couch is in the corner, you cannot have a feature wall behind the couch. I would abort the idea of a painted.feature wall in your situation. Your over sized couch and your rug are the same color. Red overload. Consider getting a small rug to place under your coffee table to break up all that red. This will also detract from the over sized couch and add a color pallet you can work with. So, whatever colors are in the rug should be repeated in the room with pillows and window treatments and paint. Green and red go very well together, however, pay close attention to the color green you select so your room does not look too much like a Christmas display. You may want to select some spicy autumn colors in golden tans, rusty oranges and greens from sage to chartreuse green would add warmth. Either black or chocolate brown accents would work, as well. If you really want a focal point on the wall that you are currently changing from black, you can achieve that goal without painting it a separate color from the rest of the walls. Go to a fabric store and find yourself a print that you absolutely love. Stretch the fabric over a large frame, staple to secure and hang. Or use three smaller frames and hang them in a row either vertically or horizontally. This would give you some impact. You could use that same fabric or coordinating fabric for couch pillows and wall color inspiration. In that case, a sisal rug under the coffee table would work out great. I hope my ideas have given you some inspiration.

- Choose one that is sturdy, the framework. Choose your fabric wisely. I bought one that is covered in that new chenile fabric and it makes those little pills, or balls up. I have to use one of those fabric shavers. Choose a color to compliment your decor and maybe something that won't show dirt or stains. I don't like the sofas with skirting on them. Something is always hiding under there. If you choose one with the pillows for the back they will get saggy..

- Q: So healthy urine Track infection free cats.. who gets love attention, food water, 2 private litter boxes one self cleaning one standard. I have 4 cats, all spayed. I don't know what's wrong.. they don't pee anywhere but my living room mainly on my sofa when it's covered with plastic or fabric... otherwise under it or in the opposite corner. I don't know what's going on with them.. it's been months.. of a nearly daily occurance. Every morning and night they get cuddled and played with (they are only alone a few hours out of the day and that's not nessecarily when they pee.) don't know what else it can be. Any ideas would be great. I read stuff about Prozatc and l- lysin for cats.. Is this crazy? I love my cats but I can not live in thier little box.

- Q: I saw a reasonably priced open up sofa bed in leather at Jennifer sofa The bedframe is standard. I'd need to put extra padding under the mattress to be comfy. In another store I saw a sofa not leather for similar price where the sales person said the frame is made by a company in business for 80yrs still need extra padding under mattress. I read several reviews about Jennifer sofa leather sofa not good thumbs down.But I love the look of leather. The differance between these two sofa beds is apprx 300$. Don't tell me no brainer.Please offer knowleable advice How to know if you're buying a quality sofa bed for under 1000. How to pick out a good open up bed part. - If the kids really love the red furniture, put it in their play area or the garage. If the loveseat fits, put it in one of the boy's rooms. They can even alternate months on owning it if they are so attached to it! Then you can redecorate the family room as you like!
