Q: Do wired controls work better than wireless? My hubby uses wireless and I wonder if wired would transmit quicker?: it doesnt matter wired and wireless work just the same

Q: for christmas im getting my dad an outdoor speaker system buttheunder groung wire costs ALOT so i was wondering if regular speaker wire will work fine if i used it and burried?: You could run the regular wire inside 1/2 PVC pipe or garden hose when burying it. Just make sure you seal off the ends really good or knock a hole in the walls and bring it through the walls.

Q: I think I have heard about flat cable wires?maybe even flat electrical wires.where you can hide them behind a base board.is this true?what are they called/thx: flat co-ax cable would be an oxymoron, however there is flat twinlead. U need to know that twinlead is more likely to have interference problems though. electrical cable usually has 3 conductors so it is naturally kind of oval shaped people typically hide these behind baseboard or in the space below the baseboard if they have wall to wall

Q: Question about the 3.5mm cable, I cut it open and there are 4 individual wires inside of it. I've only ever seen 2 wires and a loose one. Which ones are right/left and would the other 2 both be ground?The colors are red/green/white/black. I'm assuming the red/white are right left like normal? But I'm not too sure.: do you mean an audio cable?

Q: i'm building a race car out of a buick century and the tail lights wires got cut, come to find out the fuel pump ties into the talight wiring harness, i found the wires going to the fuel pump but i'm not sure what is what, there's 4 wires going to it, black, black with a white strip, gray, and pur any ideas what is what please so i can just run a switch to the fuel pump... thanks: Examine the wires at the fuel pump junction on top of the fuel tank. I'd bet one of the wires is the GREY wire. Another way you can determine which is which, get a Digital Volt Meter (DVM) and turn on the lights. Check to see which line has power. That's the line for the tail lights. Then have someone step on the brake pedal. Another wire should go hot (have voltage on the DVM). Slowly you will be able to figure out which wire does what. The left over wires (likely two) are for the fuel pump. Good luck. :)

Q: The light fitting I bought has 1x Red Wire (A) 1x Green Wire (E) and 1x Blue Wire (N)...: In the uk red was live and black was neutral, is this part of multiple wall lights ? then it should be only one red is live, the other may go to another light fitting. The light fitting would possibly be red=live, blue=neutral and green is earth, I say possibly because it is a mix of old colours and new. There should be installation instructions with it. Start by connecting one red to the light fitting red and the black to the blue connect the earth, make the other red safe and switch on. If that doesn't work change the wall red to the other and try again. If everything is working and no other lights are not working then make good and leave as is, otherwise you may need to connect all reds together for the other light to work. You may be able to identify the live red if it is a single with grey insulation cable.
