- Q:wiring has ceramic poles
- I am not sure if you are the one who asked before or not. You have knob and tube wiring which is the original wiring that they used to wire homes in the late 1800's and early 1900's as well. This wiring does not short out like the wires do today because it is separated by the knobs they used one is hot and one is neutral. They do break and cause trouble and they do not short out to one another because they are separated. The do come together at the openings at the lights and as they go down to switches etc. but normally they were separated even the but as people climb in and out of attics and move and pull them they do get moved. Do not move them any more then you have to and do not pull them or try to move them. This wiring when done right is safe as long as it is still insulated but if you have the budget then hire an electrical contractor to replace it for you with new romex wiring. If you do not then just avoid moving it at all cost and try to avoid hitting it etc... Make sure this wire has the proper size fuse or breaker and do not use any thing larger then a 15 amp breaker or fuse on these circuits and if you have trouble blowing fuses or breakers then you need an electrician to help you split some circuits and run new ones.
- Q:Which are more secure, wired or wireless networks? Explain.
- Wired networks are always more secure because they're not advertising themselves to the world; e.g. you need to have physical access to connect to a wired network. Wireless networks can be secure; but the fact of the matter is they're advertised to any passer-by and are susceptible to having their keys cracked.
- Q:I was doing some homemade circuit wiring and had a plug wired to a push button switch, wired to the load,(lamp light) then wired back to the plug. My question is the first time around I used 14g wire and it worked fine, light came on at the push button. Second time I used the same plug, 16gauge wire wired to the switch, to the load(this time a miniature bulb that sat in a smaller version of those pull lights in closets) and then back to the plug. When it was switched on nothing happened. So I went back to the 16gauge and wired it up and the bulb popped. Is this because the wire used is to small and not rated to carry the amps provided by the wall receptacle?
- the only thing i can think is you may have accidentally put it on 240
- Q:I need the wiring diagram for the 1992 Lexus ES300 OE Stereo.I specifically need to know what colors (or numbers) the wires are for the front right and front left bottom door speaker.
- ur best bet is to take off the door cover and look at the speaker and go off the colors u see going into the speaker
- Q:I have this sony x plod headunit that i want to install.unfortunetely i do not know the wiring on it. i could find out as i go along which wires go to which speakers... but which two wires are the POWER wires?so i attached pictures but the basic layout is on the left side there are 4 sets of two wires (im assuming they pair up vertically)on the right side there is a long black wire with a metal hook on the end.
- The Grand Prix and the Camaro use an identical production unit radio plug, so which you're sturdy to circulate with none better adapters. If the GTP replace into geared up with a Bose sound gadget, however, the pinnacle unit won't paintings in a motor vehicle without Bose.
- Q:I am currently doing a guitar build and want to do the 21 tone jimmy page wiring style. I have a few questions. I can follow the diagram attached fairly well but am just confused on certain points. 1. for all the wires excluding the pickup wires, so the majority of the black wires, should those be hot wire or ground wire? I bought a wire back that has black ground wire and hot white wire and am confused on what to use when. 2. Specifically with the black wire coming from each pickup, once those go to a terminal on the pot the black wire that comes off of that joint is a connecting wire like in question 1, not a stretch of the pickup wire correct?3. When multiple wires come to a single solder joint should you tin the pot and then add one wire at a time to that spot or solder them all together and then to the pot?
- Hello there, 1) Excluding pickups, black wire hot or ground? They use black for both in that diagram. I believe the only ground wires are all marked as ground in the diagram. A ground wire will run from the case of a pot to somewhere. To the ground side of the jack. To the bridge. To another pot. As for what you bought, I have no idea what you are trying to say. There is no difference in the wire itself that is used for ground or hot. You can use any wire (except bare) for either of those. 2) The black wire from the bridge pickup goes to a terminal of the switch on the push/pull bridge volume pot. You may solder the wire and continue the same wire down to the terminal of the switch on the push/pull tone pot. Or you can use another wire to connect those switches. The black wire from the neck pickup go to the middle terminal of the neck volume pot. Again, you may continue the wire from the pickup or solder in another wire to connect to the switch on the push/pull neck tone pot. 3). When I run ground wires to the case of a pot. I used separate solder joints. I do not wrap the wires together and then solder them as a group onto the pot. I have tried that and got bad connection on some of the wires. Best to solder ground wires separately. On a switch terminal where you have two wires coming to the same terminal, I try to solder both wires at the same time to the terminal. 4). All connections are soldered. Also, you should be aware that not all pickups have the same colored wires. You need to check the color code for the brand of pickups you are using. Seymour Duncan makes his diagrams based on using his pickups. If you use some other brand, the color of the pickup wires may be different. Seymour Duncan has a pickup wire color code chart on his web site. Later, Norm
- Q:Wire runs from breakers to a wall outlet along the garage wall
- you need ot use ordinary romex of a guage that will serve the power draw you intend it for and a breaker to match. i fyou already have breakers you intend to use, be sure to use the proper guage of romex so as to not have an electricsal fire. furhter, you usually have to enclose romes, it cannot be exposed along a wall if it comes from the breakerbox. you can get romex in conduit at home depot, etc.
- Q:The 1992 camry wiring diagram comes up to about 19 wires, my stock stereo that I unplugged from the back on the harness has about 14, and it has 3 black wires 2 brow, 2 green and 2 red, the others only have one wire, why is this?
- Each okorder /... That site should bring you some clarity.
- Q:I have two alpine 1242d. I need to wire them parallel parallel. Ive seen many pictures on how to do it but im still a little confused. Okay first off do i need any special type of wiring or will my 4awg wire work. Because it shows multiple wire connections where the wires combine. The positive connect from an existing wire already running to the amp. If anyone understand what i mean can you explain it to me. Thank you much appreciated!
- This is series parallel this diagram is a bit easier to read they didnt have one for par/par your wiring fine but 4 awg is a big huge for speaker wire for so i doubt it will work for wiring 2 dual voice coil subs where the wires combine just twist the copper together and put it in the speaker terminal if you feel like you just cant completely understand it take it to your local car audio shop or a best buy wherever they install car audio equipment im sure thye wont mind helping you out its hard to explain in writing
- Q:I got molds done a while back for my finishing wires on my braces. I'm getting them Tuesday, but I'm not really sure what the difference is between finishing wires and the wires I have now. So I'd be delighted if someone could explain:) Also, after you get finishing wires, about how much longer is it until you get your braces off? And, would you recommend the wire retainers, or the clear ones? Why? Thanks in advance!
- Finishing wires are for the final stage of braces. They are pretty strong wires that snap tightly into your brackets so the orthodontist can finely control the teeth and line everything up nicely. I can't say how long until you get your braces off...that's kind of a case by case basis. Typically the wire retainers are better than the clear ones from a hygiene perspective. They can also be adjusted unlike the plastic ones.
