- Q: Both wires are green but unsure if it is the top or bottom wire.
- go to autozone and get a test light (looks like a screwdriver with a light in the handle and a ground) ground it and poke it on each wire, light lights up you got the hot one.
- Q: just bought a brinks indoor motion sensor switch and having problems installing. the regular light switch has 2 black wires that was connected to one end and a red to the other. the white wires in the wall are already together. the motion sensor switch has black, blue, red wires and its ground wire. the instructions says not to use the red wire for single switch so confused on how to wire them.

- the sum of the tension of both wires must add up to 325N if both wires are equal distance from the center of sign then the tension on each wire is 325/2=162.5 if the wires are at different distances you need to the distances to get the answer
- Q: I had my uncle-in-law hook up my American Bass Pro 800 Watt Amp but he used cheap wiring. The wire is fairly small and he told me it doesnt matter how big the wire is. But what i wanna know is, Is the wire giving the amp enough power or does American Bass Pro Amps suck?? Help please
- your uncle obviously doesn't know what he's talking about. You can tell him I said that. If you want to get a lot of water to your garden, you use a bigger hose. If you want to get a lot of power to your amp, you use a bigger wire.
- Q: I need to get to the audio wiring
- you cannot simply go with matching the colors factory radios have extra wires that are not needed with an aftermarket install most of the time (wires that control the dimmer on the radio, speed sensitive volume) you will need three power wires (constant, ignition, and ground), plus your speaker wires use a test light to test your wires, usually at the radio the yellow wire is your constant, the red is your ignition, and black is always ground to find your constant use the test light, it will be hot at all times so that your radio can remember the time, and your settings- next you need your ignition, it is only hot when the key is on or in the accessory position, to tell the radio when to come on- the ground is self explanatory to find which wires go to what speakers all you need is a 9v battery, put the positive end to a wire and test all of the other wires to the negative side and you will hear a crackling noise from a speaker when you have the right combination
- Q: Green (ground), got it.Black (positive), got it.White (common), got it.Gray wire with like a black fiber in it, what is this? This is a pendant light so my guess is its just a filler wire to bulk up the cord it hangs from, am I right?

- Here okorder /... It's for a 70's Camaro but it's the same. Aftermarket radio: Yellow is 12 volts constant Red is 12 volts switched Black is ground hope this helps!
- Q: I Have a 02 Dodge ram with the 5.9L engine and i purchased a O2 simulator because i wanted to remove the cats. what i need to know is which wire is the Signal, 12 volt, and the ground wire on the oxygen sensor. If anyone has any idea please share some info.
- The wires should be color coated. Usually if it is a 4 wire o2 there are two white wires and two black wires and the blacks are both grounds. Same should go with the 2 wire o2 the black is usually the ground and the wite is the 12v wire.
- Q: You have been given two samples of wire: one nichrome, one aluminum. Describe a procedure you could use to determine which sample was nichrome and which was aluminum
- first, knowing the resistance of each wire (i dont know it, you need to look it up) i would set up a circuit to put out [X] amt of current (the amt of the lowest resistance in the wires) and run the current thru the wires to a light bulb. if the bulb doesnt light, you now have figured out that this is the wire with the most resistance (again i dont know which has a higher one) for clarification- aluminum resistance = X nichrome resistance = y circuit with current EQUAL to resistance of the lowest wire (for example if X was lowest with 3 ohms, you would set the current to however many amps/volts are required to overcome that) and then connect it to a bulb. when its turned on, if the bulb doesnt light, you have determined that it isnt wire X but wire Y. even more simply, just list the wires by their resistance. if X=3 ohms, Y= 4 ohms, and the bulb doesnt light at 3, you have determined that its wire Y. im assuimng you would have the resistance of the wires? this is how i would do it, but if thats the right way? i dunno. but it is one way.

- 12 awg twine is superb....yet i do no longer understand your question. Are you attempting to parallel or sequence the voice coils? Paralle. tie the two together. constructive to constructive. detrimental to detrimental. which would be a 2 ohm load. sequence. in basic terms run the bounce twine from constructive of one coil to detrimental of the 2nd coil. which would be a 8 ohm load. Assuming the coils are 4 ohm..wish that enables.
