Q:how we can predict the maximum load that stainless steel cable wire can achieved?
Hi all… The wire made of stainless steel is mostly used in the balustrade work, fixing tasks, decks and handrails. Due to the heavy duty usage the wire needs to be very strong and long so that there is no scope of breakage. The wire are made up of 316 marine grade the quality of wire is very tough and should be strong enough to cope up with harsh conditions prevalent in Australia.
Q:I am connecting a humidstat to furnace. I would normally use furnace/thermostat wire for this purpose except that I need 8 conductors and the largest furnace/thermostat wire seems to be 5 conductors. I would like to use another 18guage 8 conductor wire but not sure if there are any specifications I need to ensure it meets before I can use it inside furnace cabinet.
Standard 18 gauge wire is all you need, they do make it in 8 and 10 conductor, it just takes a little calling around to supply houses to find it. There's is nothing special about the wire specs for thermostat wire as it relates to your furnace so long as you use 18 gauge standed or solid wire. The only exception for thermostat wire is when you get into commercial buildings with an open plenum return air system, any wire used in the plenum cavity must be plenum-rated, which is almost always much more expensive.
Q:i have some blue speaker wire in my wiring kit for my subs but where do i start it out from my head deck when i start to wire it all together.
you connect the blue wire to either your power antenna turnon wire or a separate amp turnon lead. Newer decks might have a separate lead for the amp turnon. Your main power wires goes directly to your battery the blue turnon wire actually turns the amp on when you turn on the radio.
Q:Can anyone send me a file or link of the original through the wire where he sounds like more of his mouth is wired and has the lyric quot;in the same hospital where biggie n tupac diedplease thanks

Q:What are some of the basic advantages of twisted pair wiring?
Lower noise due to inductively coupled current from interference sources, such as (say) a motor or AC power line. When a changing magnetic field is near a coil of wire, it induces a current in the wire. If that wire is your network cable, the current will be misinterpreted by the receiving NIC as voltage generated by the sender, which will cause packet corruption. With twisted pair wire, after a twist the magnetic field ends up creating a current in the opposite direction since the order of the wires has switched. Therefore, the current induced from adjacent twists of the wire ends up cancelling. (Assuming the magnetic field strength is consistent over the distance of 2 twists.)
Q:what size of wire do i need and is the new fuse box/trip box kept in garage.or where can i get wiring diagrams from
Lots of wrong answers. Don't take electrical advise from untrained and unqualified people. Is the wire overhead or direct buried? Either way, there are underground rated, direct burial, splice kits made that will splice the wires without the need for a box. They are a set screw terminal aluminum tube with 2 pieces of heat shrink tubing. Buy them at a electrical supply warehouse. One for each conductor. Tell them what you are doing so you get the correct ones. They must be rated for wet locations. So must your wire. I assume you are using a XHHW type wire for direct burial or a THWN for inside buried conduit? Your number 3 copper wire is large enough for 100 amps with no problem at 100 feet. Article 310.16 for the rest of you. You will need to drive a ground rod at the garage and connect it with a number 6 copper wire, and bond the neutral and ground together in the panel the same as in your house. You will need to do this before January 1st when the new national electric code takes effect. In the 2008 code you will need to run a 4 wire feeder to the sub panel in the garage. Your installation will comply with the 2005 National Code. State and local codes may vary. If you need more help, email me.
Q:Need ro know where to put the wires correctly
the terminals are colour coded, green for the green or ground wire, brass coloured for the live wires ( the red and black ones) and silver for the white wire.. make sure the power is off!!! it only takes 40 volts a 60 hz AC to KILL! look close for GRN for ground and green, LOAD or LINE for the black or red wires and further for NEUTRAL, ( N) or Neut. for the white wire...YOU CAN CHECK FOR POWER WITH PIGTAIL white to white and black to either black or white one at a time...post again so we know if your alive...
Q:Hi there,I have a very old house which only has 2 wires (1 white, 1 black) coming out of the wall. The ceiling fan / light has 2 red wires, 1 black, 1 green. What is right way to wire for this to operate? Thanks,
Most fans have a wiring schematic and this will tell you how to wire it. Normally black is the power, green is a ground, which you don't have, and as for the red wires I'm not sure. Is this a new fan or one that has been used before. In the USA we have a white wire which is a neutral. I'm puzzled about the two red wires, these may have been added at a later date. If your in a country that has 240 volts then this may be an explanation. Regards, Dale
Q:My home is wired for the thermostats with two wires (red and white). I have acquired a new thermostat that requires a Red, White, and Common wire. Using the white wire in that position will power the unit up but it won't trigger the heat. Is there something that can be put in line that will allow this thermostat to work without rewiring the house?
T-stat wires are usually left loose in the wall, no staples, so you can easily replace it by pulling a new wire through with the old one. First try to get an idea of where the wire goes. Get an estimate of total length and go to home depot and purchase 18-3 t-stat wire. They sell it in 25 feet, 50 feet, 100 feet, 500 feet, or by the foot. Compare prices and get enough to make a continuous run. Older 2 wire Tstats used a mercury or spring switch to simply connect the two wires together (24v + and sl return). Your new Tstat needs a common because it is being powered by the same feed that activates the unit. (So you have 24+ 24- and sl return) When you attach your new wire to your old wire be sure to actually strip the outer coating of about 4 inches or so and fold the wires around each other to get a good strong bond, and then tape it tight to keep it as small diameter as possible.
Q:What method can be used to detect residual impurities and metal particles on the wire surface?
Remove the metal surface oxide, refers to the removal of the metal itself has been oxidized surface, such as: rust, skin and other materials that originally belong to the material itself.
