- Q: What does insulated wire do?How does it differ from regular wire used on breadboards?
- Insulated wire is .... insulated. That is, it has a layer of plastic or rubber around it so that there is no exposed metal (except at the ends) and thus minimizes the shock hazard, and also helps prevent accidental shorts between wires. Non insulated wire is bare, it has no insulation, it's just a thin copper bar. You can use either on breadboards, so I don't know what you mean by regular wire. .

- Q: OK - I removed my old light switch and can see that there are only 2 wires coming out of the wall to be found - 1 white and 1 black. - Attach black to black and if it doesn't work just switch the two from the switch. The green is the ground wire. Attach it to a screw inside the junction box.

- If your talking about the power wire the feeds the radio on the eclipse then you need to check both fuses. On the eclipse they put an in line fuse before the fuse box and one at the fuse box and either one could be blown. If neither one is blown then you do have a break in the wire. does not half to be cut but it can be an internal break. If i was you and the fuses are not blown i would run your own wire from the battery with an in line fuse to your radio. This happened to me so that's how i know about the two fuses. hope this helps.

- Yes, most EL code is to use GFI outlet ear water (kitchen, Bath). Make sure the piwer is off and simply remove the three (hot=black, common=white, Ground= bare) wires (two is not grounded) and reconnect the outlet.
