Q: I have a Escort 8500 x50 that I want to use in my 04' Chevy Trailblazer, I bought the hard wire kit, but which is the quot;positive ignition wire?It already includes the T-Tap I just don't know which wire to tap into! Any Help would be great!: The positive wire should be red and the ground black. You should tap into a wire that is ignition hot. Meaning it only has power when the ignition is on so it won't run down the battery. The easiest one to use would be the accessory port on the fuse panel. The ground needs to go to any good metal part. Find a screw that is in a large metal part, like the dash support, and wire it under the screw.

Q: i have my wires installed by a professional, and i wanted to put an taco switch to run to my amp, if i run a taco switch will it be okay? and with messing up the wires that he already ran would it screw it up?: I take it you want to put a togo switch to be able to turn your amp on and off? Sure you can . Put it inline with the blue remote turn on wire. Then when you flip the switch the amp will power on . Flip again and it will turn off.

Q: is it safe to use twist on wire connector to connect my new stereo or should i crimp instead?: I would suppose in this case there is a good better best way to do it. IMO I would never do twists on a stereo, at the very least, do butt connectors. Best way would be to solder each wire one by one and seal with heat shrink. That will give you a very clean look and you'll be proud of yourself :)

The fourth wire is a Speed control wire. The first wire,(Red), is 12VDC,(power), the second,(Black), is the ground, should be a Blue wire, for rpm sensor, and the fourth,(color codes vary), is the wire that the BIOS uses to speed the fan up when the temp of the cpu raises, slows the fan down, when it isn't used as hard. Temp of the cpu, is found through one of it's pins on the bottom of it.

Q: Hi, I'm extending my pc 5.1 sound system stereo cables. I have a M/F extension wire which I will cut to solder a seamless wire to the system. Problem is that in the system cable I have a white, green(or red) and bare wire. and ont he extension I have a black red and white. Which wire do I connect to which?thanks: I'n not sure I understand the problem. In my view if you have 3 wires -- ending in, let's say, three plugs -- and want an extension it doesn't matter what colour the wires are as long as you end up connecting the original wires to the same plugs. So if you have white, green and bare on the original cable, when you cut the cable you have white, green and bare on both halves. Use the white, black, red extension cable to connect the two halves. I'd suggest white white, green red, and bare to black at one end and the same at the other ... but it doesn't really matter. Hope that helps.

You will see on the outer packaging as the wire is numbered. Example, the lower the number the sturdier the higher the number thinner the wire. Happy DIY !
