- when you get wax on clothing, it comes out by putting it in the freezer, then the wax just chips off, try putting ice in a bag and placing it on top of the carpet, do this for a few days, making sure the ice is always really cold, the wax should eventually chip off! I hope this helps!! :)

- Q: So my brother and his friends were tie dying some shirts at my house and some how a bunch of dye got on the carpeting. Is there anyway to get that out? Also any way to get ink stains out of the carpet as well?
- Well, if it is a bunch of dye there isn't much you can do except replace the carpet. The stain is permanent. If the spot isn't too big, you can do a Carpet Transplant: Cut the stain out using a razor knife. Be careful to cut only the carpet, not the padding under it. Cut a piece of replacement carpet from a place no one will ever notice, like from inside a closet. Put the ruined piece on a piece of paper and trace around it. This will be your template. Cut this out and use it as a pattern for the new piece. You want an exact match in shape. Glue the replacement piece of carpet in place using waterproof glue. Attach it to the padding underneath. Or you can sew it into place by sewing it to the existing carpet. (You will need a curved needle if you sew it in place.) The repair should be invisible when you're done. -

- The mats that are used under rugs will make them non slip and make the rugs safe to use. They come in many sizes and can be cut (with scissors)to fit so know your rug size . BUT you must get the type that are made for wood. These are special to allow wood to breathe so they don t stain the wood. They re washable so when they lose their tackiness you wash them and it comes back. The mats are available for rugs over carpet, wood and for hard surfaces, so get the right kind. - Q: Our small office currently has tiles (vinyl, I think). I wonder if it would be beneficial to have floor carpet installed. What are the pros/cons of having that carpet put in? We'll stay here at least a year or two. Every desk (4 right now, will be adding 2 more) has a laptop or computer, monitor. All workstations connect by WiFi so it's just the power cords that are unsightly. We have guests/clients visit the office less than 5 times a month. We often have conference calls -- will the carpet help with soundproofing? And will the carpet help keep the place cool and complement the A/C?
