- You must not have gotten all the water and soap out. That is the most important part of the steam cleaning process. If you put down too much soap and didn't get it out of the carpet, you are going to have some issues. Water and soap go down first, then water, then only the suction to pull out the soap and water.

- Jenny is right about using a thin matt under the rug after you get the corners flat and the 1 st poster said to iron it.. If you try and iron any thing with nylon fibers you ll melt them and ruin the rug. So to answer you question, 1 st turn the rug over and place on a warm spot such as a heat register. You may need to do 1 corner at a time.Heat will relax the backing and help flatten it. Small weight on the corner ( such as a book or some magazines) help help too. You may want to even back roll it and warm it. This will flatten the corners out while its getting warm. Then use the matts recommended for you rug. - Under-rugs are for if you need a heavier rug all of a sudden you can put this on under a normal rug using a piece of equipment called surcingle which is like a girth that goes all the way around your horse to keep the rug(s) in place because the under rugs don't have the stomach straps that normal rugs do. I was going to buy one for my thoroughbred because this is our first winter together and we are worried about her keeping wait on but don't want to buy loads of rugs. Hope this helps.

- Well when she is not clipped only put it on if you are positive she needs it. When in doubt go without. When she is clipped it depends on what short of clip if it's summer just get a lightweight cotton rug if it's winter get a good heavy rug. Remember though for when she is not clipped her hair acts like a heater and an aircon Remember for when she is not clipped When In Doubt Go Without Feeling the bottom of her ears is also a good indication of weather she is cold or hot.

- Is there a lot of sunlight coming into the room? I had that happen at my last house and its because we had a lot of windows with a light floor. Take up the rug if its not that bad and let them darken to the rest of the floor. If the floors are real, not laminate, then you might need to reseal the floor with a polyurethane to keep from bleaching. Check with a flooring company and see if there is anything else you can do.
