- My thoroughbred gelding, Booey, loves having all his rugs on except one. We won a woollen one for Champion Hack at a show once, so i use it to throw over him while he is tied to the truck at shows. if he doesn't have a cotton one on underneath, he will rip it off and stomp on it. But the pool of blood wont come out of the carpet no matter what i try. Someone told me to try using milk but that didnt work either. - not unless you replace the carpet a burn changes the chemical properties of the material there is no way to get it out or even make it less noticeable No way that first idea will work especially with multiple burns it would look terrible

- If you want a cheap carpet, I wouln't bother with an online source. By the time you paid shipping, your price would be increased considerably. Try a carpet store that sells room-sized remnants. You may be able to find a piece large enough to lay wall-to-wall, or you could check into having it bound. Do you have Big Lots in your area? I'd check there, and also the classified ads in your paper. Sometimes people change out their carpet and sell large pieces. Do you have a Habitat for Humanity thrift store in your area? Check that out.

- There's really nothing you can do. If you have any carpet left over, or can buy a small amount from a dealer.. You can cut around the stain and replace the carpet. You'll have to get special carpet tape (It's a sticky rubbery substance on both sides with strings in it.) and a carpet iron (Basically how it sounds. You plug it into the wall, it gets hotter then a clothing iron would and it melts the two pieces of carpet together.) to do it. But if you do it right, no one will notice a seam in the carpet. There's no way to dye it because the dyed carpet will never look like the original carpet.

- Pulling the carpet is no problem. It may just pull up by starting at an edge or you can help by simply cutting it with the mentioned above utility knife. BUT! Work carefully. You might have a cool floor underneath and you don't want to cut at it with the knife. And the carpet is held at the edges with a tack strip. Use care near them or the tacks will stick you and they hurt!! Sounds funny, but I use pliers to grab and pull.
