All I want to power is the refrigerator, deep freeze, microwave, one laptop and at least one, maybe two little plug in heaters.I need to know what size/type generator to get and if I need a separate kit or anything in order to hook up to my mobile home. I suspect at least a 10 kw unit. The heaters will use a lot of power next is the refrigerator and the deep freeze. The microwave will need to be inspected for size but usually they run on 15 amps at 120 volts and can draw down the output of the generator when they start. You will need a transfer switch and the proper installation and inspection of it to your power panel and possibly need to notify the local power company that you have the back up generator wired into the unit. Electric heat on a generator is not a good idea rather try to get a fossil fuel heat source that vent to the open air, this will allow a smaller generator to be used. I suggest you consult a local qualified professional electrician to do the work so they can properly size and install the package.

Q: i have 350kw old diesel generator and want to calculate the exact consumtionption at various loads.: This can happen due to any number of reasons. 23.4 volt is not a low voltage to start the engine that expects to work on 24 volt. But the battery may not be charged well, even then it shows 23.4 volts, because you are testing it without load. So connect some resistance (that should take same current as the starter motor current) and then check the voltage. If voltage drops to severely,then the battery is discharged or has problems like dry condition, or battery life over etc. If battery is good, then check for any loose connection up to the motor terminals. Other problems could be in the burnt motor or heavy load due to mechanical defect on the IC engine (check whether the diesel engine flywheel can be rotated smoothly- without connecting to motor- but this is possible only in small generators)

It's the ETQ Portable Diesel Power Generators: Using vegetable oil as a diesel fuel can and almost will always cause some sort of damage in the long run. But to answer your question, yes it will work. You might want to thin it out a little with some kerosene or a little diesel fuel since vegetable oil is a little thicker.
