Q:I am trying to settle a estate for a friend and there are 2 small generators to start: Onan is the name of a company that manufacturers generators. Usually small generators for emergency / camping /RV's. A small 8 - 15 hp gasoline engine and a generator. Either electric start or pull rope start.

Q:i understand that diesel engines are used in heavy duty vehicles and gasolines are usually used in cars.why are diesel engines preferred for heavy duty? and who are some cars using diesel engine, like some VW models that use clean diesel.i know the engine works a bit different between diesel and gasoline but as for performance, why is one preferred over the other for heavy duty and regular cars?: Diesel engines ignite the fuel by compressing the fuel to a point where it combusts, instead of using a spark like gasoline engines. That's because diesel and gasoline have different properties: Diesel isn't easy to ignite with a spark, but gasoline is, cause diesel has a higher flashpoint. So because diesel engines have to have higher compression, they have longer strokes, so more torque. This helps increase how much weight the engine can pull, which is why all tractor trailors, ships, or anything heavy duty has a diesel engine. Only ships that don't have diesel engines have electric motors because they have a lot ot torque as well, but even those ships have diesel generators. Diesel engines are used in VW's because they use a lot less fuel. Also they last longer because diesel helps lubricate the engine. So in regular cars, they help acceleration (more torque), fuel economy, and engine life. In heavy duty vehicles, they also help fuel economy (but still use a lot), towing capacity, and engine life.

Besides dead oceans not making any fish to eat, there is the possibility that a large part of the world will not be capturing carbon dioxide, which would increase global climate change (the greenhouse effect)

Q:Hi and thanks for reading.I have a small trailer I am looking for a back up propane generator for.We have wind storms here that knock out power for days on end, about a half dozen times per year, so I'm looking to get some back up electricity, howeverMy lot size is SMALL, so is my trailer. I have a natural gas line, and gas furnace, so I only use about 1500 watts at peak times, so I figure a 3k watt generator will more than cover my needs.SOUND is a huge factor. I have the worst neighbors in the world and I really need something quiet. I'm looking for something with less than 60 ddb.I have seen a lot of propane generators that look good, but I dont know if they can be used with natural gas easily. I think so, but would love to hear if thats true, and they dont have the standby plug feature, which I need to save my fish tank, any know if this can be easily changed by a skilled electrician?Thank you. Q:I am designing the system to produce electricity for a computer room with 40 PC and 40 LCD screens. The needed power is about 15 KW (20 hp). My system consists of a compressor, a compressed air tank, a turbocharger and a mini gas turbine. I will talk a little bit about the operation: the air is released from the tank and driven by ducting system to turbocharger, at which the air flow is through turbocharger and run turbine to produce electricity. I have searched in internet many times about the turbine but still have no fit one. Can anybody suggest me one? And the turbocharger too if you don't mind. I really need all the details about both of them for calculations.: This is a very inefficient way to produce electricity. Where are you getting the power to run the compressor? Use that to run the computers. Or use that charge batteries that will run an inverter. Or use a diesel generator. .

Very few houses are wired for 3 phase power. Iran uses 230/240 VAC 50Hz So from that, you need a single phase 240 VAC 50 Hz generator. A 12 kW generator at 240 volts would supply 50 amps. I'd run that to a breaker panel (if you don't already have one) and then run 10 amp lines with a 10 amp breaker to each AC. That leaves you with quite a few amps to run other appliances. You got off on a 3 phase tangent for some reason you aren't telling, but I don't think that is the way you want to go. hope that helps. .

While looking around I've come across a 200amp machine but it says it's a 200amp AC welder. it was my understanding that all welders are DC standard, and the AC current was only on welders to weld aluminum.: DC is desirable, but not necessary for stick welding steels. DC produces deeper penetration in most cases. However AC can be used for stick welding just as well. AC is actually better when welding with E7024 rods. AC welders tend to be very robust because they're incredibly simple, basically just a x-former or alternator, a large rheostat, and an overload protector. DC systems are a bit more complicated. Fortunately, the machine in question seems to have 110V 15A outlets for residential-type power, in addition to the welding outlets, which are 75 volts on open circuit. Machines used for stick welding are of the constant current (CC) type. That means that the applied voltage will vary based on the resistance in the arc. Note that MIG welding uses Constant Voltage (CV.) (The current in MIG welding largely depends on the wire feed rate.) Residential current outlets also need to be constant voltage, not CC. How much welding experience do you have? A year or less? With due respect, perhaps you ought to be asking some of your customers for advice, not GIVING it to them.
