- Q: I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
- Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)

- Court. His word against yours. Probably nothing other than hard feelings between the two of you. In this order. Statutory Rape is easier, since you only have to prove you had sex. Pictures, well, not much. Rape, not much. The amount of proof is the issue. Unless you have emails or letters, or video tape, from then to know, you don't have much. Even then, proving they are true and not forged is another headache. Now, you usually just press charges and the state takes over, unless it is a civil suit/issue. All this is saying is that you agree to stand up in court and attest he did this or that. If there is enough evidence, the state can use you as a witness, meaning that they know a crime was committed even if you do not or cannot testify. In this case, unless you are caught sending them (child pornography), the odds are you are the case. When an officer asks if you will press charges, it's like saying will you see this through since we didn't see it. If, by some chance, you can prove it and the court agrees, then his daughter may end up with her mother or in foster care until he is released, and then maybe not even then. Some states/areas may not allow such an offender to have custody of his child after this.

- Amazing amount of weight for a 16 year old! This is what got me through my plateau. I would add 2 to 3 days more rest before doing bench press again than usual. If that didn't work I would drink alot more water and make sure I had had 2 or more meals before working out (not right before working out though) and get my diet more spot on for the days leading up to my next workout while also adding the 2 to 3 days more rest before the workout. That should work! BUT some other factors can cause some problems like: stress from work or school can tax your nervous system big time and if you are doing a split style of training, that could also be taxing your nervous system. So try having more rest between ALL workouts in general. This didn't help me, it fixed my problem completely.

If the school newspaper is staffed by student reporters, but it is the teachers that have ultimate authority over the content, than there is no problem with Teachers limiting what the paper publishes. Just like a regular newspaper. The reporters don't get to decide what gets printed. They cover and write the story, and it is the editors who decide what runs and what doesn't, and if someone higher up in the paper tells the editor that they won't be running a certain story, it doesn't get run. Furthermore, since the student newspaper is in fact a government run operation, it's not really the press.

- It’s a tough situation. Is the press a mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic? In all cases, solution will be in releasing pressure between punch and die set. Think and act accordingly Also you may try these If mechanical kind: Reverse the locking key and jerk move flywheel in opposite direction manually If tool is clamped over a parallel block: try to forcibly remove them If done rightly neither machine nor tool can get damaged Prevention hint: Never overload the machine capacity

- Linda, unlike portable drills, stationary drill presses normally do not have a reverse function. Portable drills have a reverse function because they are used when driving screws into materials. To remove the screw, the drill has a reverse function to accomdate this need. However, drill presses aren't used to drive screws and don't have a reverse function. Normally, after the hole is drilled using a drill press, the operator pushes the control arm upwards, while the motor is still running, and the spinning drill bit raises up out of the hole. hopes this anwers your question...good luck
