- Q: Cannot find a path to send the power cable for the amplifier through
- The firewall is the bulkhead between the Passenger compartment and the engine bay. Look for a rubber grommet in the firewall/bulkhead that has existing wires going through it and use this. Some firewalls have grommets that you can use to pass your power cable through from the battery. Remember to put an in line fuse on th live cable of the correct rating.
- Q: If so, where will i have to go to get it?
- That's was my problem too. I let my garage to use it and buy another brand.I think you have to re-install it.Maybe it was corrupted.
- Q: Basically bought a new graphics card (480 gtx) and im going to install into my computer but i wish to also install a phyx card as well. This seems simple enought but i only have 2 6pin power cables in my pc atm and im am unsure how to install another 2 6pins. Current PSU is a antec 1000w
- The above answer is sweet, with the single exception: do now no longer purchase a in many circumstances used psu. as nicely to the OCZ he recommends, examine out Antec and probably Hyper. Antec grant a three twelve months assure on their psu's, and the present day ones are somewhat quiet. JBV^_^
- Q: I lost the Power cord for my PS2 Slim and I am wondering if I can use the PSP Power/Recharge Cable while I wait for the replacement to arrive in the mail?
- No you can't, the PSP AC adapter has a lower volt ammount then the one required to power a PS2 So your going to have to play your PSP while you wait for the replacement PS2 cord to come to come
- Q: So I'm trying to add a sata hard drive from an older computer in my new one, but I encountered a problem. I have the cable the connects to the motherboard and the hard drive, but when looking at the power connectors for the hard drives, there is only one and it is connected to the main hard drive. Am I missing something that is slapping me in the face here, or is this a design flaw? there are 6 hard drive holders sooooo, it seems that there should be 6 power cords inside, but no. Only one. What do I do?
- Your chasis ia able to hold 6 hard disk but seems like your power supply does not. You can buy a cable splitter for the power or buy a new power supply. Do take note of the wattage rating on your power supply. Since there is only 1 cable, it may not have enough wattage to support the hardware
- Q: The specs say: 350 Watts, DC 12V, 100-240V. It is a Rackable server. Are there special / different power cables to use with servers than desktop PCs?Where can I find the power cable with the above specs. I tried OKorder with not much luck.
- You should be able to use a large three prong power cable (with a ground on it) for your server.
- Q: 1 or two to use the other ones and its really annoying.. is there something that i can get that can give me more ide cables and also power cables inside the pc as well?
- you have two IDE ports in your mobo, each one for an IDE cable.every IDE cable supports two devices - master and slave. so you can either: connect the two HD's together, one will be the master(where your primary OS is installed),the other one the slave.making sure the jumper pin configurations are set correctly for master and slave.you will find the instructions on how to do this on the stickers at the backs of these HD's nnect the two optical drives as well to the other IDE cable, same procedure, jumper pins, master and slave. or another way is you can connect one HD and one optical drive together on the same cable, master and slave. if you're not sure about the jumper settings, just use cable select option. or you can get an IDE PCI card adaptor.just put in into any free pci slot on your pc then connect the other devices to it. another way is to get SATA drives to free up the IDE connections.but you will need a SATA PCI card adaptor,if your mobo is not equipped with a sata port. as for the power supply, the cheaper alternative is to get multiplier cables.they are short cables like the ones you see in your pc.one end is a male connector that you connect to the power cable(the cable connected to your device),on the other end are two female connectors for your devices.but you have to take into consideration the wattage of your installed powerbox.it is intended for the wattage of your system, usually manufacturers give a higher wattage rating than what is actually written on the label, for safety reasons, but don't count on that because it's going to be a very small margin.if your powerbox gets really too hot,get a new one with higher watt rating. with four devices - two HD's and two DVD Drives, you shouldn't have any problems at all regarding your IDE connections. but why is your soundcard connected to your IDE cable? if that is the case then you have to get a PCI soundcard. hope that helped.cheers.good luck.
- Q: I know they can control networks but what about cable, what is keeping cable channels from just showing hardcore pornography 24/7even showtime has a no bottom/no thrust/no rod rule.I don't have HBO so I don't know what they use, but still do we really need the FCC to censor its obvious that tv channels aren't desperate to put porn on the air so why do we need the FCC (other the the frequency adjustments for radio and what not)
- The FCC controls what is broadcast over the air waves. Cable TV is by subscription only, so if you don't like the programming you don't subscribe. Broadcast TV requires no subscription and is freely available to anyone who turns on a TV set. If the FCC were not there to control broadcast TV you would soon see porn popping up everywhere, since it is about the only thing that sells.
- Q: One of my ottocinclus is munching on a little brown algae that's on the aquarium heater's power cable. Not dangerous, I guess? I don't think they can actually bite through it and expose the wire...?
- No it isn't dangerous at all. He will be fine. I love otos. They are so darn cute.
- Q: I have a HP compaq laptop and a few months ago I started having a problem where my laptop sleeps/powers off when I plug in the power cable. The computer runs fine on battery but as soon as the charger cord goes in the screen goes black and the fans stop but yet the computer is still on.If the charger is plugged in when I switch on my computer I just get a blank screen. I have tried replacing the battery and the cord, changing the power settings, hibernate settings, taking the battery out etc. It's really annoying. Please help!
- Curious....are you turning the laptop off before you plug the power cord in??...
