- Q: So here is the power supply, motherboard and graphics card I have.Power Supply: ATX-TL500W-BK Motherboard: GA-78-LMT-S2 Graphics Card: GV-N960XTREME-4gd As you can see the mother board is a (pcie 2.0), and my graphics card is 3.0 with a 6pin and 8pin slot on the side for It's power cables.My previous graphics card didn't need any cables to run to it, so I don't know what I need for going from the 3.0 to the 2.0, and I don't know where the power cables for the card connect to.Any help is very appreciated.
- You have a big enough PSU--400W recommended, you have 500W available. The cables from the card go to the PSU. If you don't have the right one(s) then buy adapters. Contact card maker for those if you didn't get any in box or search Google.

- Not okorder /... If you have the C-1U version, all you need to do it connect it directly to the USB port on your computer.
- Q: He has made a couple of really small slits in the black plastic on the wire, all in the same place, but on both sides. I can see silver through it, but no other colours. I have unplugged it from the laptop and the mains, as I assume I shouldn't use it. However, it is the bit attached to the big square thing (sorry, I don't know what it is called), does that have a charge, so should I do something special with the wire? - Don't worry too much about what the cord says. Worry about the power requirements on the appliance label, and making sure you are feeding it with the voltage required, with a capacity within the range. In your instance, you will need a converter transformer that converts your outlet voltage to 100V, and has 550 or larger watt capacity.

- Motherboard doesn't provide that connector for the video card. the power supply does. Take the side panel off and see if it has one. Can always use a 4/6pin adaptor. Most retail cards come with one. Just make sure you have enough watts and +12V amps on the PSU to run the new card. A lot of video card upgrades require an upgrade for the power supply as well.
- Q: remove just this cable or use different hd and it works fine, is the hd broken or is it a power consumption by the hd issue? tryed a different psu and its the same problem, unfortunately not got another pc handy to check the hd on. Thanks In advance?
