- Q: I want to put a water pump on a horse trough with the pump on the outside of the fence. There is a hose attachement at the bottom of the trough for the intake. I want to have the outake hook back to fall into the top of the water, reducing algae and eliminating mosquito larvae. I have never used a pump before. Need advice on type, size, etc. Thanks!

I just purchased 3 MaxiJet 1200 powerheads and a wave timer to see haw they do, 6 months now 24/7 and so far so good. The longest lasting Sump Pump that I have ever owned is made by Ehime, I've had it for 14 years now and it's still going in one of my tanks. I better cross my fingers on that one.LOL

- Water pumps are cheap.. its the install time and or labor cost to do it that is pricey
- Q: We usually wait 4 - 5 minutes for hot water in our master bath. I've been looking into ricirculation pump systems. This would have to be a retro-fit system since some of the lines run through concrete slab making adding a return loop on the line non-feasible. I have found some people comment on simply using a by-pass valve system without a pump (ie. Hot Water Lobster). We do have hard water which I've also read that can present a problem with pumps dieing quite quickly. While I'd like it, I don't need 1 second hot water, but I can't stand wasting gallons waiting for 4-5 minutes. A reasonable 15-30 second wait would be a huge improvement. Has anyone had reasonable success with the bypass valve without the pump or should I plan on getting the pump too? Thanks in advance!
- Without a basement, you're only moving water from the first to second floor? I'm guessing it's a large home and the baths are somewhat remote from the water heater. You should consider the pump, but perhaps a second water heater. Do you have a closet you could put a small electric unit in? I don't think that a 4-5 gallon under counter unit will do it. Good luck.
- Q: i took off the lower unit to fix the gears. im not sure ill be able to put it back on with out knowing how things work in there.so how exactly does the water get pumped. and what does it have to do with the gears, because even though the prop wasn't turning, the water was still pumping.thanks.

- I believe if you are looking at the motor the water pump will be to your left on top of the motor and to the front. Drain the radiator. There is a big smooth pulley that turns the water pump loosen the 4 10mm bolts, remove the belt the remove the bolts. Under the pulley there will be 5 or 6 8mm bolts remove those, make sure a drain pan is under the pump because there will be some residual coolant in the motor. Scrape the old gasket off of the engine block then reverse the procedures to install the new pump. Make sure you torque the pump to the proper specs so that the pump housing does not distort. You can pick up a Chiltons manual for that car a local parts store that can walk you through this in greater detail with pictures. Good Luck
- Q: Im having a hell of a time getting the water pumps to work, even when located right next to a water source (i.e. river, lake, ocean, etc). Ive tried various locations and it has never worked for me. ive made sure the game isnt paused and that the pump has power but nothing works. its not as simple to use as the water pumps in the previous sim city games. Can anyone give me a hint? ive been looking everywhere for a definitive answer.

- Q: Power went out of my house and we just had it restored, though now the water is no longer running. We called the people who installed our pump and they told us they would need to dig up the well which is going to cost $1500. However i remember a time before where this happened and all we needed to was reset the switch. Do you think these ppl are trying to get me for my money? - What i don't understand is how they could know that they needed to dig up the well BEFORE they got there to troubleshoot it. They need to know circuits aren't tripped which easily could have happened if the well was running when the power went out, or if the power came back on......and the well pump just ran and ran without prime ( Without water running through it) So I would check the breakers or fuses first.......and call a second opinion, it doesn't seem right for them to quote you over the phone like that. Could be as simple as the well lost its prime.
- Q: I currently have a gould 1/3 horse jet water pump and a rusted pressure tank that I would like to replace. There are two bathrooms, both with showers, 2 bathroom sinks and the kitchen sink, as well as the washer. What horse power should I have for 5 faucets and what size pressure tank would be sufficient? - Q: I have a 1994 Plymoth Grand voyager and it is loosing anti freeze it was a little leak now I can't see it leaking but it is empty could it be the water pump? It does get hot now. what other things happen when your water pump is going out does the heater not get hot anymore?
- could be, refill and put cardboard under the car to see if the Water pump leaks... If it original- its probably due anyway
