- No. Do you have power? Battery, alternator. Does it crank? Starter, solenoid, wiring, ignition. If all the above is ok, then what's left is air, fuel, and fire. You need all these to have a running vehicle. Fuel system-pump, filter, pressure regolator... Air-filter, maf sensor... Fire- plugs, wires, cap/rotor...

- Unless you are sure that the problem is the water pump, you might want to check the hose to make sure it isn't clogged up and not allowing the water to drain out correctly. If you do need to change the pump, you will most likely have to replace it with the same pump. If you haven't done so, try going on line and enter your dishwasher make, model, and enter water pump and see what you can come up with. If your washer is an older model, it is possible it is no longer being made and it might be difficult to find parts for it. You might also try calling around in your local area to some appliance stores and ask them about finding the part or where you might find the part. You could also contact a repair service and just ask them if they can find the part for you if you are going to fix it yourself. If the pumps are still being made, any appliance repair service should be able to get you the part. If you can find a store that sells that brand of washer, they to should be able to get the pump for you to.

- most likely the pressure switch is stuck/corroded. this is a common problem with on demand type pumps.try tapping on the pressure switch to see if it will work.if the pump is installed properly,the motor should be at the top and the pump and switch will be at the bottom.i consider these pumps disposable. expect to replace it every couple of years.

- Fire water pump water can not enter the roof, fire water tanks, "construction regulations" and "high regulations" clearly defined. The roof fire water tank acts as a temporary fire fighting water for 10 minutes, and the water in the fire pump is supplied directly to the indoor hydrant or sprinkler system. Roof water tank fire water can only be provided by the living pump.
- Q: and it still runs about every 1/2 hr even if you are not using water. I have no leaks from the pump thought the house so I think the problem is between the house and the well. I can't hear or see any leaks in the elbows in the well. I tried to pull the foot valve up but can't get it out. I replaced the pump cause it was worn out and it was running every 15 min. Do I need to set the pressure on the new one it cuts off at 42 and on at 20 psi and what else could cause it to run when it shouldn't? I know I should call a plumber, but haven't worked in months and can not afford one.
- Could be the check valve in your holding tank is allowing it to bleed the pressure back into the well thru the pump and once the pressure regulator drops to cut-in press the pump runs. Get a chair and watch the pressure gage.
- Q: OK so i am new to RVing....I have an older 1971 trailer pull forester....It has a your normal fresh water inlet on the outside of the trailer, fresh water tank, and water pump. - There should be a switch to turn on your water pump and they are normally 12 Volt.There should also be a separate battery that runs all the 12 Volt systems in your RV.When you turn on your water pump it should build up pressure then shut off.It will turn back on as you use it.I think they are set at 40psi.I think you are going to find that you either have a dead battery or your pump is no good.The battery is usually located in a side compartment.Good luck.
