All the parts contacting with liquid are made of stainless steel 304 or 316 on request. Pump head and suction & discharge can be made of cast iron on request too.
Q: All water pump have diferent caracteristics, but it is imposible to overcome a certain hight...what is that hight and why?
The width of the pipe and the force of the pump both play an important rule. Given you have two pipes of different widths and the same pump, the thin pipe will take up water to a higher height. Plants for example have xylem (tiny water conducting tubes) that allow even the highest leaves to be watered.
Q: I took out the thermostat, filled coolant level to upmost, my car still overheats, it doesnt leak ne where. How can I tell if the water pump is workin?
check your fan thermostat
Q: im attaching a motor from another filter onto my homemade filter. but i dont want to have to run a cord all the way from the pond to a powerplug. does anyone know of another way to such water into a filter without using electricity? some kind of siphon?
1. I had an electrician put a buried cable in the ground coming up to a weatherproof post with outlets and an on-off switch. It was not as expensive as I thought it would be. 2. You can put the water pump and filters by the house or even inside and run buried water pipes out to the pond, or just put the pump inside and have the filter by the pond which would run by water pressure or gravity. 3. A windmill or solar panel. A siphon uses potential energy stored in the water to work. Once the water has dropped through the siphon, there is no more energy to draw from and the siphon stops. A windmill or solar panel could provide the power to lift the water back up and make the process continuous, or at least while it's windy or sunny. However when pricing these two options even though they would be very cool if you have the large yard to accommodate them, they turn out to cost much more than either 1. or 2. and have much higher maintenance costs associated with them. 4. If it's a very small pond, you can get a solar powered filter/fountain that looks like a floating plastic lily pad. My son had one of these, but it only worked on the sunniest of days, and lasted one summer before wearing out. If you add a large block of filter foam over the intake it may last a little longer. Rinse it out two or three times a week.
Q: I have built my own spray rig to water some stock and tanks and a garden. It is a 330 gallon tank and has a spout at the bottom that i am going to connect a multi purpose pump to. My question is what size pump would i need? I have been looking at Atwoods and Tractor Supply and have seen some 2.1 GPM and a 5 GPM pumps i just don't know which would best suit me. i am planning on having the tank on the trailor and running water hose to a sprinkler or two. I would like to know how man sprinklers are possible on this type of system and still keep good pressure. Thanks for any answers.
It all depends on the size hose you will be using. Anything under a 1 inch will not work well. The pumps you listed are not going to do the job. I can pee more than 5 gals in a minute...lol You need to look into pool pumps and a 3/4hp might do. You will have to reduse from 1 1/2 in to the one inch. Just don't use under one inch. Good luck!
Q: What causes a water pump on a car to go bad????? and are they a pain to change by yourself?????
the corrosion is the main cause, corrosion is caused by using water coming by the faucet, that water came with some minerals and stuff and the engine at high temp activate those minerals and react causing that brown water (acid water) so the best way is adding a nice mixture of coolant and destilated water is the best but if you dont have that water at hand use some radiator coolant aditive, it will neutralize the effects of the regular water coming from the faucet making that will not make your water pump last forever but your whole system will last many more years
Q: I went to have my car inspected for a leak at a friendly garage I know. They said I need a new water pump and in the mean time just keep the levels always checked and filled. Is it safe to drive for a while or can the pump totally fail and overheat the engine. As far as I know it's just leaking at this stage, the pulley and belts are fine.
It's safe as long as the levels are full and the pump doesn't fail. Here's the bad news - you have NO idea when that pump is going to go bad. Recommending to drive it that way is a dumb idea. Yes you can do it, no it's not a good idea. If your water pump decides to lock up now you popped or shredded a belt causing extra damage not too mention your vehicle overheating if you keep it running. You might get lucky, but I strongly suggest you stop driving the vehicle until it is repaired. It's asking for trouble.
Q: First I need to take off the belt, remove power steering pump, remove water pump bolts (the bolts are various length), remove water pump pulley (from old pump), install pulley on new pump, install new pump (with gasket and bolts in the right holes), install power steering pump, install belt. Is this the correct order? Can somebody throw any tips at me (somebody who has done it on this vehicle). It's a 2001 WJ with a 4L.
The surface on the engine block is not cleaned properly and is not allowing the new gasket to seal correctly. The other possibility is you have a defective replacement pump. This does sometime occure with parts from the national chains. inspect it closely to make sure the casing is not cracked if it is you need to take it back and get another one.
Q: Because the water pressure is too small, this summer with self suction pump 750W, water is big, but every time that water is used for the first time out of the water is yellow like rust, probably after the release of 10 liters will become clear, then is not, but every one hour after the water time out is rusty hair yellow, so to waste a lot of water, but accidentally brought cooked food should not be good to the body. Now come in the water is through the pump, even without electricity, partition time for the first time water will be yellow, there is no master can teach me to disassemble, which can be cleaned?. Or something else. Thank you
If your pump is iron, it must be impossible to avoid rust, and if you replace it with stainless steel, there will be no problem. There is also a way to add a filter or water purifier at the front of the pump to make it a little better. You can change the flow parts into stainless steel, but the price may not be cheap
Q: Okay so we have a water pump outside instead of city water. A few days ago we noticed that it would turn off like always once the tank was full but then just would never turn back on. It was odd to us since it would always turn on and off at appropriate times. Now its on maybe 10 seconds and it shuts off. I took off one of the clear hoses it has and notices a green ooze inside it. I cleaned out the ooze and tapped some of the pipes in hopes of some more of it coming out. Since we have had a leak there is green stuff which i am guessing is lime, on the side of the tank. I'm also guessing this must bee the green ooze. What should I do? Now there is no water whatsoever being pumped and the time it does turn on very little water passes through. To me it sounds like something is blocking the pipes but if I pay hundreds for someone to come replace the pipes and check out the motor I dont want to end up with this problem again. If anyone has any information as to helping me I would so greatly appreciate it.
do you have shallow or deep well its the middle of summer the well could be dry you might have lost your prime on your pump there will be a bolt for priming take bolt out pour water in to hole untill full restart pump if pump doesnt fill up you might a stuck foot valve.
Q: 37KW how many contactors does the pump need to start directly?
Direct start requires 250A contactor.Contactor is divided into AC contactor (voltage AC) and DC contactor (voltage DC). It is applied to power, power distribution and power consumption. Contactor broadly refers to the use of coils in industrial electricity that flow through the current to produce a magnetic field, so that the contacts are closed so as to control the load of the appliance.
