Q: We have a fairly large area rug in our living room but over time it has become wrinkled. I don't want to buy a new one yet, so how can we get it to lay flat against the carpet and not bunch up with stubborn wrinkles anymore?
Hang the rug up if you can and spray it with water and see if you can work the wrinkles out by pulling of them. Good Luck
Q: What color coffee table and carpet do match with green sofa
Gray should also be ok, matching with a slightly lighter color
Q: We bought a new white linoleum floor to which we added a couple of bathroom rugs. When I went to pick up the rugs to throw them in the wash, I noticed the floor had yellowed underneath the rug. The stains were same shape of the rugs that covered it. The floor was meant to look like white marble now it looks like yucky yellow snow. How I can get these stains off? Will putting the rugs back down cause it to yellow once again? Shouldn't there be a warning lable on these rugs!

Q: Hi! Were purchasing new carpet for our mobile home. They sell a pad to for an extra cost. Never bought carpet before. Is the pad something we really need? Thank you
Deffinitally want to use new pad. Unless, you want to buy glue down carpet. They sell both but a glue down carpet is more of a commercial carpet. You can get different types of pad if you want to go with something cheaper it might not be as thick but would still be sufficient. If you are going to use glue down then make sure your subfloor surface is smooth and clean.
Q: Besides vacuuming, how do you maintain white carpeting? Personally I have found that using a storebought steamer makes my carpets look dingier. A person I knew at one time told me about a dry cleaning method using some kind of powder. She told me she rented the equipment and it only cost about thirty dollars. I've researched this and don't have any idea where to go. Links to more info. would be helpful.
I like using the dry powder method because it is so simple, no rental machine needed. You just sprinkle it down, agitate with a brush on a stick, let it dry and vacuum it up. It has brighteners in it and freshens up the look of carpet without leaving a detergent residue. Most Manufacturers also prefer customers use a dry granule method of cleaning carpets as it is not so hard on the fiber. Resolve and Capture both make them, as does Chem-dry.
Q: ok so these might be stupid questions but.. can cooler rugs:a)be used under other rugs?b) be left on the horse when out in his field to stay clean?c)be usesd as an anti sweaet rug?d)be usesd as a travel rug?e) be usesd as a stable rug?thanks!!
a) yes you can put a cooler rug under another rug, although (for example in the winter) its better to put a summer sheet undernteath the thicker, heavier rug. b)no, you need turnout rug for the field. If you let the horse out in the field with a cooler, the rug will get completely ruined and destroyed, and both horse and rug would be absolutely filthy afterwards c)not exactly.. coolers cool your horse after work and help his sweat dry faster. they dont prevent him from sweating (especially if its hot, theyre more likely to make him sweat) d)yep, they can. I pefer to use fleece cooler rug, since i find them more comfortable for the horse e) yep. Though only if it's not too cold, since a cooler isnt very thick. It can be used as a stable rug during the day, when its not as cold as during the night :]
Q: How to choose carpet size?
Conventional laying, the general living room is not very large, you can choose 1.4*2 or 1.6*2.3 laying to the bottom of the sofa about 2-5 cm, it is recommended to just laying foot on the sofa
Q: My wife and I have a 5' X 7' area rug which we want to dye brown. It's a deep pile wool rug and the fibers are dense. How does one go about this? We would have it done professionally but there are no skilled people where we live. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We hired a company that specializes in dyeing rugs. They have all the equipment needs and know the correct dyes to use.
Q: Also, would jute be good as i imagine lots of spills. Any ideas? And, doI really need a rug pad? Thanks!
Design rule is that your rug should be 24 behind the chair with someone seated. Mine is much less, maybe 12-18 and works fine. Jute will work but it's a bit hard to clean. On the plus side, it doesn't show spills too much. If you have cats, they might think that you bought it for their scratching needs. Invest in a good rug pad if you want to extend the life of your rug, or the rug is thin or stiff enough to slip.
Q: Billiard room carpet selection
Color fastness: carpet of various colors, soft texture and elegant appearance. When choosing carpet, hand or cloth in the carpet rubbing their hands several times, to see whether there are sticky cloth or color, such as a sticky color, the color fastness of products is poor, resulting in laying carpet prone to discoloration and fading in use and effect in laying in the use of beautiful carpet effect.
