- We recently did 2 rooms approximately 10x13 each We bought the padding at Lowe's and the carpet at Home Depot, it is very nice. Like a Berber. Cost a little over 300 dollars. Had someone lay it for us, that cost 50 dollars. Good Luck!!!!

- Wait for a nice hot day, then with your garden hose , hose it down. I would say better to wash all of the rug at the same time, if you spot clean only, you will be left with clean patches and rest will look bad, Be sure to wash when the weather is hot , so this way the carpet will dry through out
- Q:I was given a 8ft 8 in x 12 ft 2 in persian rug that is in superb condition. It is authentic, but can not find out how much it is worth. I know that it cost 2,000 dollars 30 plus yrs ago, but am clueless on what it would go for these days. Could anyone give me some advice on how to find it's worth. - Q:I haven't vacuumed my carpet in over 2 months and its really dirty. I know its disgusting but I hate this flat so much and I rarely come here, just to sleep. - Unless you can change your carpet, you're stuck with using paint and fabric to change the scheme. If it's dark purple (almost black), you can go for a moody club vibe using stainless steel gray (walls, fabrics, etc). You can use an alternative color to add punch (indigo blue for example). For a more earthy quality, try using sage green and cream.

- As for what brand of cleaning solution works the best, IMHO, Rug Doctor cleaners are the best and most economical, particularly when you use Oxy Clean as a pretreatment solution and a fortifier for the cleaning product.

- Q:I vacuum it and pick up anything that falls on it but I think its very dusty and dirty because where I live it gets really dusty in the apartment.I have heard about car wash but how will I dry the rug later? How much would a laundry cleaning cost? The rug is $150 and 5 by 7
- Trust me throw it in the wash and set it to the setting you usually do to wash colors it`ll turn out just fine . Don`t bleach it though just use laundry detergent. And to dry it throw in the dryer. I have the same rug I tried this before I reccomend it.
