- Just a standard carpet will average around $3,50 a s/f installed. Of course you can do higher or lower, it all depends on the over all quality of the carpet. Most carpet comes in 12 and 15' wide rolls so you ll need extra to seam it together.So you can t go just by the 13x13 ( 169 s/f) of the room size. Its soooo annoying, we're tried re-rolling it the other way and vacuuming it out, ironing it out, and putting heavy things on it to make it stay flat. - My mom used to rent and now owns Rug Doctor. It works perfectly and cleans the carpets pretty swettly. You should give it a try. Just remember that the rug will be wet for a couple of hours so let air flow through your house to allow it to dry quickly

- The rug doctor will leave allot of soap in your carpet, which will create mold. Personally I do not trust buying carpet cleaners scene as i own my own carpet cleaning company ha ha but I deff do not recommend the rug doctor to anyone, its not safe.

- Use some little nails. Hammer them in through both carpets and into the sub floor. The tiny nail will not damage carpet. You'll never know they are there.
