Q: I just spilled nail polish remover (yes, REMOVER) on my carpet...will anything happen to the carpet? How long does it take for the smell to go? I have my fan on...does that do anything? Please help - my room stinks!!
It's only acetone, hopefully it won't take the color out, but dab it up, the rest will evaporate.
Q: Can make whatever the visitor wants since I am a manufacturerBut still, I am not having much success with this site. People do visit, my google rankings are good, but sales are low. What can I do to increase my sales? Do people prefer to buy rugs online or through a store? Is my site not properly designed or is there any evident flaw in it that drive away most people from actually buying off it? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Those are really nice rugs try to find some were in the yahoo answers where you could give advice on rugs then add you link as a source also Also that is a business marketing question try asking over there and yo will get better responce Good Luck
Q: So somebody spilt hydrogen peroxide on the carpet and now it's bleached! The original color was kinda a beige color and I need to know is there any possible way at all to get rid of this or kinda dirty it up to look beige... Please help!
Oops! The only thing you can do is to cover it by moving furniture to hide it or putting a rug on top. Sorry!
Q: We have an area rug over a carpet, no rubber underlaying, it's just a rug over a carpet. The rug is starting to curl/crease/wrinkle in the middle. Why is that? It was a fairly cheap rug. Is that why? Or because we have nothing under it but carpet? Something else?
I am not sure what is wrong with it but my brother was having that problem and he decided to place it exactly where he wanted it and then he used a nail gun and tacked it down on the 4 corners and it has been a great resolution. Try it out!
Q: my daughter spill red kool aid on my beige carpet. I have an expensive carpet cleaner but it is not doing the trick help
I'm not sure about red kool-aid but I use rubbing alcohol for all sorts of other stains and have had great luck with it. I just pour some into a spray bottle and spray a small area of the stain/spot. (should be fairly wet but not soaked). Then rub the area with a clean dry cloth it should take up the stain/spot right away. Rubbing alcohol is fast drying which can be a great help as well. WARNING... [Be sure to test it in a small area first. It could possibly damage the carpet as well. Tho it's not likely.] I hope this works for you.
Q: Doesn't carpet bombing subdue countries quicker and with less casualties than other methods?
Carpet bombing is a very effective method for getting countries negotiate or at least effective at inflicting severely impacting their ability to wage war. In Vietnam, we had three major bombing campaings: Operation Rolling Thunder (was unsuccessful because political restrictions on possible targets), and Operations Linebacker I and II (both were very effective and brought the N. Vietnamese the to negotiating table, where a peace plan was drawn up. After the US left, N.Vietnam invaded the south. However, the carpetbombing campaigns were extremely effective. In the long run, it might cause less casualties because of a quicker end due to the shock factor. However, it can easily inflict a great many casualties on the enemy. Also, if you know where you are bombing, then it is very easy to avoid hitting schools, hospitals, etc. You just don't plan a bombing run over those targets. Its not at all similar to Hezbollah. Hezbollah was intentinally trynig to hit civilian targets (not even anything like manufacturing centers or trying to take out infastructure, which could be a legitimate target, but rather houses and such).
Q: I know, chocolate brown, gag me with a spoon, right!? Anyhow, I need a cheap rug for my cheap apartment.I will also have a pistachio green bathroom, what will cordinate with that!?Links please! Thanks a bunch for your help!
I would also say to wait until you find one at a good price that comes in cream. cream colored couch would work well if you want the room to appear larger, you could then add colored cushions like chocolate brown, or add color after wards. good luck!
Q: Im trying to find ways to make money for a low cost. I live in and area where there is around 5 other carpet cleaning businesses. Basically I need to pay for gas, car insurance+phone =$70 and I don't know how much being licensed and insured for the business would be. Basically if I get around 5-10 customers a month I'd be doing good. If you have had a carpet cleaning business or experience please let me know if its worth it. Thanks!

Q: my baby girl is 16 months old . she makes mess in her room. i have hardfloor, was wondering what kind of rug would be ok as she makes a mess. and can u plz suggest me other things to buy for her room to make it beautiful and nice at reasonable price thanx
you might want to avoid the rug as 1) it will collect dust mites more and if your baby has allergies, this will affect breathing 2) if there are spills (as babies are wont to do) they are harder to clean up and might stain your rug. if you really want a rug for the room, maybe a commercial rug. it is not too plush and comfy, but because of this, maintenence might be a lil easier and it shouldn't collect AS MUCH dust as other, more plush rugs would. Maybe also you might want to see about an area rug for the babies play area. these can be easily taken outside and dusted out, washed and what have you.
Q: I have this OLD area rug from my grandmother. The pattern is beautiful and the rug itself is is good condition, however I'd like to brighten it up! -Especially the white areas which have now gone yellow. Anyone have any ideas on how to clean/treat this rug and restore/brighten it without damaging it with harsh chemicals, like bleach?
Resolve spot remover carpet cleaner followed by Woolite Heavy Traffic carpet cleaner really works well on my Oriental rugs. I've always cleaned them myself with no problems. Test a little place on the back to check for colors to make sure they don't run.
