- Persian rugs of that size could be worth up to $50,000, depending on the age, wear, and construction, including the materials and gauge. You need a proper appraisal, and then they don't just sell overnight. Suggest you find a different way to raise the money you need, or is it that you want.

- Wool carpet looks and feels awesome, but is tougher to maintain. I would not use a general carpet shampoo on it since they tend to be rough on non-synthetic fibers over time. For spot treating (spills, etc): Use a white cloth dampened with barely warm water and a few drops of clear dish washing liquid. White cloth and clear liquid just to make sure there's no color/chemical transfer. Blot it the way you'd get at any spill and then a dry cloth to get all that water up. For a deep clean: You'll be better off getting a professional in once a year or whenever the mess is too big to clean yourself.

- It seems like braided rugs are pretty intuitive -- just braid and sew, and use your imagination. If you are afraid of goofing up, you could try doing coasters or placemats first. I don't think you need a class, but sometimes it's nice to do it with other people.
- Q:What is size rug would a 14.2hh connemara type pony need?Also what basic rugs would a pony whos turned out and stabled need?Thanks
- The best idea would be to measure your pony. You need an ordinary tape measure and you measure from the centre of his/her chest to the point of the buttock in a straight line. (I had a 14.2 pony who was 6' 6 and that is unusual - if I'd just bought average for him it wouldn't have fit so safest to measure.) How many rugs you need depends on how much you want to spend as they will quite happily spend the night in an outdoor rug if you can't spare the cash for a stable rug as well. If it's not a problem then I'd say a stable rug, a good quality turnout rug and a wicking cooler.

- Have you Googled for locations they are sold? Yarn stores, Michaels, Joanns any place that sells yarn should have rug kits. If you want to make an exceptionally large one, at least you could get the name of a company from the packaging and e mail or phone them.

- Home Depot and Lowe's sell carpet by the ft....you would have to by a 1 or 2 x 12 ft piece. Your best bet would be to check with the carpet stores and ask if you could get a ''scrap'' from a installer, they ''dump'' them after a job in a dumpster that's for carpet only. It will be new and clean.
- Q:I want to know which carpet cleaner is better the Hoover Platinum or the Rug Doctor. I am just using this for my home. Anything better I don't need the huge professional monsters.
- I have a Hoover dirt extractor (it's a few years old so probably not a platinum) and I'm really pleased with the way it works and ease of use. When I clean my rugs, I always finish up by rubbing an old towel over the rug to remove any excess moisture and surface residue. It really helps speed up the drying time. The Rug Doctor is a lot bigger, heavier and a lot more expensive. Hoover is very reasonably priced and does a good job.
- Q:I survived tropical storm fay but now have 3 wet spots of rug...my sister said i need to pull the rug up to dry them spots but it's not pratical without replacing it all and i can't afford that..I have a box fan on the spots to dry the rug out..won't that work?
- In addition to the other suggestions, turn the air conditioner low (you may need to leave for awhile) since an ac is a dehumidifer it should help speed the process. I live in Ormond by the Sea and had some effects from Fay, nothing like the devastation in Breard County. Good luck
