Q: i want something like this but i think the price is a little high, so where can i find something like this but cheaper?: Well, I think the price is OK, you may just want to save up for it, but I'll still try to help: This style of chair is called a papasan chair, I know that Pier One sells them but they're more expensive than the PBTeen model. Probably the only way to get a papasan chair cheaply is to get a used/second hand one. If you want to get one used, you could try Craigslist for your area. I don't know how old you are, so if you are young *ASK PERMISSION FROM YOUR PARENTS* to look at Craigslist online (there can be bad people online there), and if you ever buy anything online through Craigslist *MAKE SURE* someone goes with you if you go to pick it up. If you get a Pier One or used chair, you could make a slipcover for the cushion (in a fabric like the Dottie chair), but in all honesty I would save your time and trouble and buy the PBTeen one. Q: Does anyone know if churches rent out chairs for private weddings ?: I assume you are talking about renting chairs for the reception, and the answer is, it depends. Each church is different. But usually, if you rent the hall, chairs and tables are included in the price. Otherwise, if you have a caterer, they can arrange for the chairs as well. If you use the church for the ceremony, there will be chairs (of course) in the sanctuary. If you have the ceremony in the reception all, then again, the chairs usually come with the space. If for some reason you have to rent chairs, however, the cost is not too bad. We needed to do it for a big party in my family (not in a church), and the rental company arranged to deliver the chairs and pick them up. I don't remember the price right now, but I remember being surprised at how reasonable it was. There are so many big expenses for a wedding. Chairs are going to be only a minor part. Q: I found a very cool shaped very old chair at a junk shop for $5. It is in fairly good shape and sturdy (none of the arms or legs wiggle). But it is missing the seat, which I would imagine was one time a woven cane seat that has fell out. I would prefer not to re-cane a new seat (I have done this before, but I don't find it comfortable to sit on this type of seat and they don't wear well). I would much rather put in a padded upholstered seat, but am not sure how? There is just a large hole in the middle where the seat used to be, and I'm having trouble thinking of ways to attach a piece of wood with padding and upholstery. It doesn't have to be super sturdy, as it won't have more than a 170lb person in it, and will more than likely not be used daily (it will be for our bedroom). Any ideas?Chair similar to this one (no seat)- http://krypton.mnsu.edu/~wayne/Caning/roundchair.JPG: Get a piece of 1/4 or 3/8 plywood at a building center (places like Home Depot usually have small cuts, like 24 x 24 which is all you need.) Use a piece of large paper or cardboard to trace the outline of the seat on the chair , all the way to the outside edge. Using the pattern, then cut the wood in that shape. At the fabric store buy a piece of 1 or 1 1/2 thick foam rubber (back in the drapery department) and cut that to fit on top of the wood. Then add about a 1 thick layer on top of polyester quilt batting (from the fabric store) on top of that. Cut a piece of the seat fabric you want to use about 4 bigger on all sides (so 8 each direction) than the wood seat. Lay the fabric out on a table, flip your wood with the padding over so the padding is on the bottom, against the fabric. Fold and stretch the excess fabric over the wood and use a staple gun to attach it snugly along all 4 sides. Make small folds at the corners to keep it smooth (like tucking in the sheets on a bed). if you're satisfied with how the seat now looks, pick up the chair, turn it upside down and center the it over the wooden back of the padded seat you just made. Use four wood screws just 1/4 longer than the thickness of the chair seat frame and drill through the chair (the frame that would have supported to caning) into the seat wood backing. If the wood is soft enough and the screws are thin you can just use a screw gun but it would be better to pre-drill a small pilot hole first - just make sure you don't go through the padding and fabric. I've done it many times -- in fact just last week did that with two antique chairs from my parents' estate that had blown out caning.

Q: what company sponsors or who created them and everything about them i need to know MILLER might be one im not sure how would i sell this i need ideas on office chairs: Well, I don't know if this will help you any but I work in an office and spend a lot of time sitting down. It would be nice to have a chair that has adjustable lumbar support, the kind made out of the microfoam like the new mattresses that have been recently marketed - you know the kind that conform to your body. This way if the back of the chair is adjusted to support your upper back, the lumbar is not over looked. Currently, I have only seen office chairs that support one or the other but not both at the same time. Also, current markets have chairs that massage or vibrate. These are extremely costly and who wants to plug in their chair to an electical outlet or recharge its batteries. I am thinking that if there were a way to create a warming or cooling sensation this might assist with the blood circulation and may be relaxing too. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

Q: i have looked several place online and around the area and have not found a deal when it comes to chair covers. I want to cover the chairs for the ceremony site and the reception which will be around 230 chairs. any suggestions on where to go or an easy alternative? thanks!!!: u need to call linene services in ur areas and get some prices, tell them what ur looking for, u sually white coverings are standard and inexpensive but get more expensive if u add bows and colors. i think you should consider decorating just the aisle seats, if their plain white than i w oudlnt even bother.

Q: does anyone know what ( nfs ) stands for in batteries for power chairs?: Could be Non-Frost Susceptible, meaning the chair is rated for outside, cold-weather use without damage to the batteries. That's my best guess.
