- Q: Ok, I cant offer much help but I have wanted one of these chairs for a while but I don't know what it's called. Here is the only picture I could find without the name.
- It's hard to tell in the picture, but it appears to be a pair of high-backed wing chairs. The style of the back with the puckers and buttons is called tufted. This style of a low-backed sofa is called a chesterfield. You can look up images online to see examples. The arm is rolled, and the trim is called nail head trim. And of course, the material is leather. These chairs look like the type that would be found in a fancy home library or in an elite country club setting or maybe even an exclusive pub. I don't think a similar chair would be hard to find. But if the back is as high as it appears to be, that may be a hard part to come up with.

- Q: We are ordering office chairs but our desk height is 33 3/4 in. from floor to counter top. Which is too high for our current chairs. I have pain in my elbows and wrists from typing with my arms bent up to the desk. I don't know how chair height is measured so I can't tell what height to order for proper height. - Office Chair height is measured from the floor to the highest point on the back of the chair. You might ask where ever you are ordering from what the distance from the seat to the floor is at its lowest point as well as highest point. Your desk height is a bit higher than a standard desk, which is 29 1/2 inches high. You might consider a task stool for your seating. You can order one that looks almost exactly like an office chair except it has a ring about the base to rest your feet on so that you can raise your seat up higher and not develop back problems from your feet hanging or not being firm on the floor. - Q: Ok, my directors chair which I love so much, has quit. It will not pop up anymore. I guess the shock underneath quit. I have another smaller directors chair, which is just ok. Can I take the shock out of that one and put it in my bigger/better directors chair for it to work again. I miss my good chair, it has arms on it and very good. The other one does not have arms. - so you have an air shock under the chair that is supposed to hold you up but it leaks air so the chair stays in the lower position all the time? You may be able to replace the seals in the shock, or replace the shock itself. See if you can find the name of the company that made it and the model number and call them about your options. If the shocks are the same size and look the same, you can try switching them.

- I bought a wooden restaurant high chair at a local kids resale shop. You can buy them new at restaurant supply stores (like smart and final). Ikea also has a similar type chair, it is not as thick and sturdy, but it pushes up under the table and is also made of wood. I got one of those off of craigslist.

And of course chairs have different methods of showing how they like someone. I guess it likes girls sitting on it, what chair wouldn't. But I don't think you should get jealous about this, it's a natural thing with chairs. So if you feel this way about the chair, I think it only best that you sit on it almost all the time. After all that's how you get to know a chair. It may look like a perfectly good chair, but it has seen other girls. And from the chairs position that's not a bad angle to see a girl. Generally they are quite faithful, if you can sit on it a good few times. I can see you're having a hard time with it, but just how soft do you want a chair. I think you should take a step back, and look at the situation, and the chair. Is it staring into your eyes, or does it give you a little hug when you sit down on it. Because these things are telling you something about the way the chair feels you. You really need to get the chairs feelings about you. For you are just wasting your time, if the chair doesn't have feelings for you. Anyway find out exactly how it feels, then you know where you stand when you're sitting on the chair.
