- Q: I need some advice! For my wedding we will be borrowing tables and metal folding chairs. I already have the tables planned out with white tablecloths and a fuschia tulle runner down the center. My problem is the chairs are really ugly and I need a very cheap idea on how to cover those. We are on a really tight budget ($3,000 for everything)as we are paying for everything ourselves. I was thinking of buying some tulle for the chairs and ribbon, but I wanted to know if anyone would have any idea what that would cost per chair? My colors are fuschia, yellow and orange. Thanks!
- This may sound weird..but it works! My friend had the same concern/issue for her reception, so here was what we did... Pillowcases! We went to a few of our local discount/closeout stores that sell bed linens. We bought out all of the white pillow cases they had and even found a few that were in the blue color that she was using for her wedding colors. They came 2 in each pack for only 1.00 to 1.50 per pack (depending on which store we got them from) so we really only pd about .75 or so per chair. here's how to do it.... 1-Slip the case over the back of the chair and pull down just until you reach the seat and the entire back is covered. 2-Standing behind the chair, fold the excess at the top towards you in a way that results in a cuff that is about 3 to 4 wide, 3-fold that down towards you over the back of the chair and pin it to secure. 4-Then use your tuelle and tie a bow to camoflouge the fold. We used wide satin ribbon and created more of a banded look (like a ribbon sash on a wedding gown). We tied it into a knot- without the bow-and left the long streamer-trails. We had also arranged it so that all of the 'knots w/trailing ribbons were more towards the right sides of the chairs, rather than directly in the center. It was very striking and we got a LOT of compliments on it! If you DO use cases in both white and your wedding color, use your wedding color ribbon/netting to tie on the white chairs and then use white ribbon/netting to tie on the color chairs. Hope this helps a little! CONGRATS ON YOUR WEDDING!
- Q: i am writing for an essay about dentistry but i don't know what the chair called.
- I think it's called dental chair probably wrong
- Q: Hi, I need to get a high chair for my little baby boy. He is 6 months old. Would you please share with me your opinion and experience. I needs to deside for one and i really want to chose the best one.thanks
- i think a highchair is a great thing to get for your child. it is a way for him to be able to begin feeding himself and learn. my son is now 4 but the one i used for him was by fisher price and it was called the play and swing. it transformed from a highchair to a swing. even if you dont need the swing i still recommend it because it allows to raise and lower the height. as my son got older I lowered it for better stability. it also allows you to adjust for tables so your son can eat at the table as well as with the tray that comes with it. it also works great as he gets even bigger because you can remove the seat belt and it can be used as a regular dining chair that you can lower as he gets taller. i hope this helps and good luck
- Q: I was at Bed Bath and Beyond, and my husband and I had been up running errands ALL day. At the time I was 28 weeks along and TIRED! They had one of those displays with all the chair back massagers. So I was sitting in one of the chairs and I had it rubbing my back. A man walked by, asked if I am pregnant and then told me that I am not supposed to be sitting in those chairs. Is that true? Does it cause any harm to the baby? Or myself?
- How would it harm you or the baby? It would be no different than using a hand massager or getting a back rub from your hubby..............#1 pet peeve about pregnancy - UNWANTED advice.........I don't there's any evidence to suggest getting a back rub regardless of the form - will harm you or your child.
- Q: Does the Lifetime movie The Mermaid Chair have anything to do with mermaids at all?`````````
- Not really other than it happens to be something the main character paints. Its more of a spiritual book/movie. I very much preferred the book.
- Q: The lady who owns the venue we chose is something else, let me tell you...I wish now I'd have gone somewhere else, but we just couldn't afford more! So she won't have the chairs arranged in rows for the ceremony (we're having it indoors because it's FALL) and so we're forced to have guests sit at their tables. How can I make this look better??
- I'VE GOT a great solution for you. Get a group of friends that will be willing to break down and remove. I just recently went to a wedding where she had a few of her guests go put the chairs in rows before the guests arrived. afterwards they asked the guests to please step to the side, get some snacks, use the restroom while they set up for reception. They took out the tables then and then pulled the rows of chairs into the tables for the reception! =) Congrats on your wedding. Remember you can only be have fun if you allow yourself to have fun!
- Q: I don't want to buy one online, I want to get one at Target, Fred Meyer, etc. You know one of those chairs that rock back and forth, rumbles, has surround sound, and plugs into the game system (wii). Preferably under $70. Know where I can get one? Please add a link if you can.
- Those gaming chairs are so cheap and they fall apart so quickly that I would not recommend getting one at all. I would actually recommend buying a cheap computer chair and the cheap wal-mart surround sound system and hooking it up underneath. It will give you the same experience but with way more comfort.
- Q: A chair of mass 8.8 kg is sitting on the horizontal floor; the floor is not frictionless. You push on the chair with a force of 56.0 N that is directed at an angle of 30.4 degrees below the horizontal and the chair slides along the floor. Calculate the normal force that the floor exerts on the chair.
- normal force + 56(sin(-30.4)) = 8.8kg (9.81) now solve that! remember everything has to be in equilibrium state in physics!!!!
- Q: I'm wondering if it takes a relatively strong person to break a mid-quality chair over someone's head. Could the average person do it?
- Yeah the average person could do it. As long as they don't hit the bottom part of the chair that you sit on into their head, then it would just hurt like a ***** and the person would probably kill you lol
- Q: I am looking for a computer chair that is best for comfort. My budget is no more than 60-65$ and I want a chair with arms. This is a Christmas gift. Thank you.
- Cheap chairs are never all that comfortable for a long time. The cheap foam and other materials that they use tend to break down and they don't offer much adjustment or support eventually. I spend a lot of time at a computer for work and sometimes when researching at home. I found a place that sold used higher end office furniture and got a Herman Miller brand desk chair for $75 that would have been over $350 new. HUGE difference in comfort. I highly recommend trying to find used commercial furniture store and getting better bang for your buck. On possible exception might be the ball chairs that are made with the large inflatable rubber balls you use for exercise and Pilates stretch classes. These are very good for your lower back and you can adjust the firmness. I know a couple of people who love them. These run $80 to $110 -- Google office ball chair.
