- Q: I have an english project due very soon, its a role play thing called town hall, we pick an issue, which is bad roads in our town, then we get a role, mine was a person in a wheel chair, so i need to know, do bad roads effect you in any way, like having to avoid pot holes or anything, repairs to your chair? anything will help.
- I am not permanently in a chair, but was for a while due to an injury. I was stuck with the hard wheeled variety.. I felt every bump, and the terrain had to be quite smooth to facilitate independent travel. People having chairs with pneumatic tires are less likely to be affected by road hazards. You see people buzzing around in parking lots and on roadsides all the time with motorized wheelchairs and scooters. That said, bad roads would make it challenging to get around, they can handle a certain level of ill-maintained roads, but they have their limits. When your tires are only 6 inches in diameter, an 8 inch pothole causes trouble. Try to think about this from their point of view - noticing the size of curbs vs clearance of the chair, etc.

- Q: Just purchased 10 ladder back country chairs from a not so clean house. The chairs have a straw design I guess for the seat? The design comes in on all four sides. The straw looks like rope to me just very old and dirty. The chairs are old but could be beautiful again. They are in excellent condition from what I can see, just dirty and smoked up. Can someone that knows about old furniture please help me. I do not want to mess these chairs up by doing something I shouldn't. I planned on putting murphy's oil soap in very warm water and give them a good cleaning. What would you perfer I use. I've been looking for these chairs for along time. It was hard trying to find 10 chairs all the same size and color. Thanks
- Try Murphys Oil Soap. That is what I use on my Kitchen Cabinets. Also Lowes sells a special chemical just for wooden Kitchen Cabinets.

- LOL I don't know if it's my favorite, but it's where I spend most of my non working time, my desk chair. Since most of my work is out in the field, building something or fixing something, the rest of my time is at the computer or doing paper work. So this is the chair that I feel most comfortable in. It's not fancy, but I did get one that is comfortable to sit in. I do have other chairs and a sofa in the house, but except for watching a foot ball game or something like that, I don't use them very often. My dog has even claimed the sofa as his own LOL Just me I guess

- Many adjustable chairs have a thing which resembles a shock absorber in the support stem. You allow air IN or OUT to adjust the height with a manual valve. It sounds like the valve is defective and leaking, which allows the chair to sink as you say. There are NO user repairable parts, so it is time for a new one... You can TRY rapidly cycling the valve several times to see if it will seal again, but once a leaker, it is most likely always a leaker...

- This was what my sis was wanting a few years ago. We looked at pricey chairs at Pier One and everywhere else. But what she got was a patio-type blue wicker-looking chair at Lowe's, and it was well under $50, and on sale. Home Depot or Walmart might also have them.

- That is hot but looks very expensive! The chandelier is probably vintage. Look on Ebay. The chair you can cover yourself with any houndstooth or any b w pattern.
