Q: My battery light on my car was on the other day and than my car would not start. We took in to a auto store to be read and charged. They couldn't not charge it. So we replaced it with a new battery. But my battery light is still on and will not go off.
Take it back to auto shop and have them read the charging system and see if the alternator is putting charge into the battery. If not replace alternator they sometimes won't put enough charge into system also check the belt make sure its tight. hope this helps
Q: Why is this? What i have done so far:-Replaced gasket(i think thats what its called),spark plugs and wires-changed transmission fluid , done oil change.Im am considering doing a fuel system cleaning and the guy at Jiffy lube said something about my coolant/radiator.My heat/ac works great, havent had any problems. If I do the fuel cleaning and change the coolant, will this get rid of the service engine light. The car works great otherwise.
Go to autozone and the will plug in an obd 2 and let you know why the light is on. It's free
Q: Please Read Everything Below.I got a car back in October it is a 2002 Chevy Malibu and it was cold out so I haven‘t used the A/C until yesterday. I drove with my windows down to my destination so A/C was off and my car was in the sun outside in 80 degree weather for two hours then when left I turned the A/C on for the first time and it was emitting room temp air the whole half hour drive so I figured it might need a recharge or maybe it is leaking. Today I left and turned to A/C on and it seemed to be working a little bit better (50 degrees out) so I turned it on high after a couple minutes and the check engine light came on. I was just wondering if it could be a problem with the A/C that is causing it. Also if so can having low freon or whatever the refridgerant cause it or would it be more serious like a leak. Thanks in Advance. Any info will be very helpful.
On newer a/c systems they may be controlled by the engine computer, or a separate computer on the network, so that is a possibility. Good news here is, if the engine light is on, there is a trouble code, and that will give you an idea as to what's wrong, most auto part stores will read your trouble codes for free.
Q: Car light sign c
The right side of the downward direction in front of the wavy line is the front fog light switch. General in the front bumper, fog driving when the open.
Q: I take my pixs on manual or aperture priority and usually can get the light that I want, but not the sharpness. I am shooting on Fine and i always try to keep my ISO low if I can, I also remember to white balence for each new environment. Is there something else that i should be doing because I am so disappointed with my shots even though I love the composition.
Can you post links to examples? That might helps us diagnose the issue. A number of things come to mind. How are you viewing your images? They probably won't look very sharp on a camera LCD screen. It's possible that the auto focus system in your camera needs alignment. If it's an SLR, the mirror may be out of whack, or your focusing screen may not be positioned exactly right. Or, you may need to adjust your diopter to match your eye. Or, it could simply be a camera or lens that is not very high quality. Then there are the user issues. Are you choosing a good focus target? This would be something with decent contrast and with enough area for the auto focus system to grab. Are you focusing then re-framing the picture? Sometimes the camera will re-focus after you've re-framed. In such a case, you'll be focusing on what is in the center of your frame, regardless of whether or not it's what you mean to focus on. Auto focusing can certainly be faster than manual focusing, but it requires practice. Manually focusing can work very well (evidenced by the 150 years of manually focused photographs) but also requires practice.
Q: Car headlamp model query what software best
Single foot H1, feet H7, feet double wire H4, compare on the line, do not check! Xenon lamp exception, if not solve your problem, please ask!
Q: How much does the car bulb k mean
How much K, refers to the color temperature, that is the light is the color of the light bulb, the higher the color temperature, such as 4300K or more, the more light the light bulb brightness is the main indicator of luminous flux, in addition to taking into account the light
Q: I cleaned my MAF sensor. But the SES light is still on, but is running Fine now, Will the light go off?
For all the confused people out there P0171+P0174 are system lean codes banks-1+2 and if it is a ford you really need to have a scan tool to properly diagnose this problem! You need to see the BARO and LONG TERM FUEL TRIM pids to determine if it is a MAF problem OR a vacuum leak, Although it is almost a given if it is a 4.6 or 5.4 to check the PCV elbow on the back of the intake for a deteriorated hose! good luck. Edit to Brutl you talk a lot of smack for a guy with barely 10 Years under his belt!
Q: why is check engine light on?
Most check engine lights come on because people forget to tighten there gas cap at one point. It'll set an EVAP code. If you do get your codes pulled at autozone look for that word. If it isn't that then you know you have a real emissions problem that probably won't hurt anything except the atmosphere.
Q: My 4x4 light blinks when I try to switch from 2x4 into 4x4. I have replaced the 4x4 motor on the transfer case, and a new selector switch. Not really sure if anything is making any noise under the truck. Sometimes the 4x4 will go and the light quits blinking. I do not mind spending some money on this truck as it is my all year long truck. Gotta plow snow and if I cannot get the 4x4 to work properly, I am not making any money. Any suggestions, thoughts, or comments would be greatly appreciated. Oh, I do have the push button 4x4. Also, I can sometimes hear a box behind the dash on the drivers side clicking when I push one of the 4x4 switches. It looks like a silver box, maybe 8in wide by 8in long. I do know that the selector switch wires run from it, and other wires ( I assume ) power wires run to it. Thank you again.
Does yours have the auto 4x4 option? I cant remember if that was available in 99 or not till 2000. If it does then the front axle stays engaged all the time so the only motor is the one on the transfer case. Those are a little more complex than just shifting gears, they have clutches so they are more like the auto transmission and there is a lot of things that could go wrong. These also use that somewhat expensive blue fluid. Using the proper fluid is critical to these systems working properly. If its not the auto version the the transfer case is just gears and the motor that shifts. The additional part of the system is the front axle also has a locking mechanism in it that has to operate for everything to lock in and the light to stay on. That mechanism is a maybe 2 round by 4 long unit sticking out the lower passenger side of the front differential. In the mid 90's it was a heated unit that when it turned on would extend to lock the axle. These were not known to be the most reliable. They came up with a motorized replacement for them that was not too hard to install but was pretty expensive. I dont know if they ever started putting those on at the factory or not before they went to the auto versions around 2000. The aftermarket people came up with a simple bolt like piece that replaces the heater or motor unit that leaves the front engaged all the time. Its cheap and reliable. The slight downside is the front axles and such are always turning. This could cost you a slight amount of mpg and wear and tear but if you are running around with a plow your mpg stinks and you are beating up the truck anyway.
