Q: I have a 2000 GMC Sierra with the 5.3 and 4x4. Sometimes the ABS and Brake lights come on at the same time and sometimes they don‘t. I had it scanned at AutoZone and no codes showed up. Q: Hello , i have a 2005 mustang gt STANDARD, and while i was learning on it the battery light came up. I popped open the hood and realized that the hooks on the battery some what look melted, yeah i stalled it alot i looked like i was stalling it like a bronco, anyways the battery light came up, and the cars starts up regularly has never died on me , i have never had to give it current, it has somewhat crank a bit when i turned off the car and left the radio on for a bit, but nothing serious, is a bad alternator , bad battery or those hooks that melted?? I seriously done f*cked up on stalling it but do you guys have any idea what that check charging system means ? Thanks!!: Repair the battery cable clamps and make sure the ground cable isn't loose where it bolts to the motor. Then go to an auto parts store and have the battery and charging system tested. They do that as a free service.

Q: Bought a pontiac torrent about 5 days ago from a dealership. Yesterday, it completely went dead. The car wouldn't start, and the key got stuck. It was not turning over at first, but the lights were still coming on and flashing, then an hour later went to start it, again, and nothing. Not even the lights were coming on. The day before it was saying 'service stabilitrak' 'service traction control' and 'service battery charger' or something along the lines.My Dad took the battery to go get it checked and it read a bad battery, so I paid to get a new one. The vehicle will start, now, but halfway to my dad's house after driving it (12 miles), the 'battery charging system' light came on, again! This is so frustrating, the dealership is no help, I use this vehicle for my son/work, etc. I don't want to take it to a shop because they all charge high dollar around here, and they never do a good job. People always have problems with them. What could possibly be the problem?: It sounds like a bad alternator, many local stores like advanced auto parts test the charging system for free. If this is not the issue, there could be a draw somewhere. A draw is when there is an electrical problem, and over time, it kills the battery.

I think it might be illegal to tamper with your lights, but maybe that's only in Canada. But I imagine any shop that can install a car alarm could help you. ...for maybe $400. NAPA or some auto parts store might have some module you can just solder in but it's unlikely.

Ask him if possible to talk to your insurance provider for you.
