Q: Does it control the cranking of the engine? or the of the ignition system? Nephew had put water in the fuel tank trying to fix problem removed line from fuel filter and turning key on and off pumping out the water.I removed fuel pump relay and jumped the pump for cont. use the key was turned on and off during this process and now it will not crank over.There is an anti theft light on the dash,it goes off after the key is turned on and the ecm scans: IF it keeps flashing, it likely needs urgent care. Q: I have a '07 Corolla CE. I have made no modifications to the original motor, transmission, etc. I have noticed that my heater is not nearly as strong as it was in the first few years of owning the car. Of the 4 available strengths that the heat blow normally the 1st one barely has any effect. Generally the 2nd is okay but not great. The only time it seems to be generally working okay is when I am on the highway and at a cruising speed of 60+mph. I have noticed the same thing in the summer when using my air conditioner though it seems to be even weaker. I usually have to use 3 if not the 4th highest setting of strength to get a comfortable feeling within the car. Though in the A/C's case it does seem that it is speed affected. What are the likely causes and fixes for this situation. If you happen to know what the price range of the fix would be as well it would be appreciated.: I have to agree with the last answer. However, to add to that, your A/C might be getting low on refrigerant too. Understand that A/C blows colder when the car is in motion than when it is just sitting. That is normal. If you notice the difference, it's likely, low refrigerant.

It is not always a severe problem but the next step is to get the computer scanned to pull out the trouble code. This can be done by any full service auto repair center. After they find out what code it is they will then tell you the repair needed to correct the problem. You give the OK to repair. They fix it and erase the code. You pay the bill and Bingo No more Check Engine Light showing on the dash. The cost varies because the cost to repair is an unknown untill the trouble code is pulled out of the computer. If the car is fairly new, it could be something very minor like an 02 sensor. This is the most common code that brings up the Check Engine Light for the first time. The cost to replace varies but dealers seem to want an arm and a leg for replacing them so I would not go there. Try places like Pep Boys, Firestone, Goodyear and such. I think they are more reasonable.

Q: About two months ago, I replaced the spark plugs in my car. I did not go to a mechanic. I’ve since driven about 1,000 miles with no problem. The other day the “service engine soon” light came on and has not gone off. I checked the owner’s manual and it says that when this light comes on and is not flashing (which mine isn’t) that the diagnostic system has detected an emissions problem. Well, there is nothing wrong with my emissions but I don’t want to pay a mechanic just to turn the light off. Anyone know how to turn this light off?: The car has a sensor that is giving a reading not within workable parameters, why is it you think that you know better then your cars computer? Have the code pulled, if your that cheap, jeez, go to Auto Zone, they will read the code for free and tell you what is causing the light to come on. Then you can fix the problem, not that you actually would. I guess you just think if you can turn that light off, everything is just fine? Go ahead and disconnect the negative cable on the battery for about 5 or 10 minutes, this should reset your computer and turn off the light. When the light comes back on, then maybe you'll realize something is wrong and get it fixed, but I'm sure you won't. Have fun when your car breaks down because your too cheap to fix it.
