Q: Alero 2003 stalls at light and will not start before 20 or 30 mintues. during this period if i put the key on the on mode airbag light flashes then stays steady, fuel pump relay not getting power, no humming from the fuel pump. also during this period i can start the car with the remote starter but when i press the breaks it dies: it sounds to me like your auto start is bad. when auto starts and aftermarket alarm system brain box fails alot of weird things can happen. id recommend pulling the auto start out or taking it to a place that can properly remove it for you.

However, some of the newer controls would pulse various brake pads using the ABS system, which in a turning condition, depending on how hard the pulses were, could make the car turn sharper, or make it much more difficult to turn. Auto zone said catalyic converter was below threshold but after traveling 350 miles the light went off . Was wondering why is it off when there is a problem with car when nothing was changed for the catalyic converter.: A P0420 code means the catalytic converter is not working good enough to meet the minimum requirements or threshold needed. The converter needs replacing. You can't expect a cheap after market converter to work well enough to keep the code from resetting. Only WALKER or DORMAN make after market converters that have a 75% chance to work properly. Converters usually bolt on. It's the exhaust system flex pipes that get welded on. Quit listening to salesmen at auto stores.Oil pressure sensors have nothing to do with the converter, The 02 sensors are good ore the P0420 code would not have set.
