Q: I have air bag light on for 4 days, my horn and rear wiper are working, in AutoZone cannot find the code,, I call Chrysler , my van do not have recall, what possible can be? clock spring, can my air bag go on after some time?? thank you: Its a very common problem in dodge products. No the air bag will not go off because of the light the light is telling you something is wrong with the system,It could be as simple as a defective seat belt or if you live in the salt belt as i do it can be a corroded crash sensor.these codes can be read but not by auto zone scantools you need to go to a shop that deals with airbags such as the dealer or a body shop. Dont worry the airbag wont deploy by itself,but you need it checked in case of a accident.

Q: I have talked to people that say all Honda's do this, but the guy at the dealership said it could be something bigger. By 'blink' do you mean dim, get brighter, shut off then come back on? Do you have manual or power windows? Does this only happen at night? Or, does this happen any time? Is the vehicle running when you do this? Or, is the key turned on, engine off? You can roll the windows up/down after shutting the engine off, key off if you do not open a door. Q: I just purchased a 2007 BMW 335i and was wondering how this may be done. I know I can turn them on by turning on my parking brakes. Also, I can run daytime running lamp bulbs but those look kind of ugly. I just want to have my coronas turn on when my light switch is turned to automatic. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.: The coronas, normally called angel eyes, ARE the DRLs. They come on whenever the parking lights (not parking brakes) are on. They can also come on independently if you have it set up in either i-Drive, or if you don't have navigation then by using your instrument cluster menu system. It's all in the owners manual. Placing the headlight switch into the auto position will turn on the headlights if it's dark enough or if it's raining, which then turns on the angel eyes since the parking lights come on too. If you have DRL turned on as mentioned above, they would be on all the time and then the headlights would come on once it got dark outside. The parking lights are the orange ones on the very outside of the headlight assembly. If you have DRL enabled in whatever menu system you have, they are on all the time regardless of the headlight switch position. The angel eyes are run by a single bulb for each side of the car, a 35 watt H8 to be specific. The inner headlights (what used to be high beams) are the cornering lights and are operated by a 55 watt H3 bulb. These come on individually when turning if the headlight switch is in auto (and it's dark). They also both come on when backing up if in auto. The outside lights are the high and low beam lights, and should be a D1S bulb assuming you have xenon lights. These lights also pivot when turning if switch is in auto (and it's dark).

Q: my car doesnt start at all and i had someone jump my car but still not even a click what can it be?: Well, when jumper cables are hooked up to the battery, make sure that the lights on the dash come on. That will tell you if you are at least getting power. If you do have power, you may have a bad solenoid on the starter. And this is just a shot in the dark, because you don't specify. But if your vehicle happens to be a manual transmission/stick shift, then you may want to try to push it off/pop the clutch. If you do have a stick shift, and not sure what i'm referring to, then just email me for details. Other wise, I'd have the starter removed and taken to a part store to be tested. Most any part store will do this free of charge.

I did get gas 3days ago and the other I day I had the hood pop‘d when it was raining but i needed to to add ani-freeze (spelt wrong) b/c it was low but we go that fixed now.: Sounds exactly like my camaro, it ended up being a blown head gasket, not fun. That would explain the antifreeze missing. The misfire could be because of that but hopefully not. It could be a bad fuel injector. Tkae it to a shop and ask them to run a diagnostic, they'll be able to diagnose it and clear the memory, then you'll be back to running new. But one question for you, has your car been overheating? If it has you could have a blown head gasket, What car you have?

Q: It came on early in the morning. My plan was to stop by my auto shop on the way home from work and get it checked out. On the way there, the car started to shut down (first the radio display, then the headlights, then the airbag light came on) until it finally died all together. I had the old battery and alternator checked out, both tested good but I swapped out the battery after cleaning the terminals on the old one and the car dying again soon after. After the new battery was installed, it is still giving me the Charging System Failure message, although everything in the car (headlights, cluster, dome light) are all on and significantly brighter. I‘ve looked at the electrical system fuses and none of them appear blown. The only thing I can think of is it is still the alternator or I have a short somewhere that is draining my battery. Any help would be appreciated.: Sounds like an alternator issue. You can take it off and have it tested at most auto parts stores.

Q: Hey gear-heads, I have a regular ‘00 Civic VP and the check engine light turned on a week ago. I just did an oil change and I reset the light by unplugging the battery for a couple minutes but the light came on after a couple hours of driving. Lately it seems I have been losing gas mileage. Usually the check engine light is associated with the emission problems like cylinder not firing, bad spark plugs, clogged fuel injectors, O2 sensor malfunction, or problem with Catalytic converter. I would change the spark plugs first, and go from there. Also driving with Check engine light would damage the Catalytic converter. so would minimize the driving.

Q: I just had my car serviced about two months ago. I drive longs distances quite a bit, and I‘ve driven 1400 miles since I had my car serviced. But about a month ago the service engine soon light came on, and won‘t go off. I am thinking it might be a O2 censor or something but I don‘t know. And I don‘t have the money to go get it checked out, but if someone could give me advice, I can fix smaller stuff by myself (i.e. spark plugs, O2 censors, etc.).
