Q: ANy ideas?DOes anyone know how to fix it?: It sounds like an automatic alarm system. There should be a cooersponding red or green light on the dash, some spell out the word Theft. I don't think there's anything to fix. _____________________________ I stand corrected, then. No alarm system.How about automatic headlights? Do they go on with the ignition switch? Or, do you turn them on manually? If you have this option, then try switching off of automatic. If the headlights no longer flash, then the problem is in the headlight auto switch should be replaced. Some auto switches are located below the rearview mirror, others on the interior dimmer switch on the dash.

Q: Wiring a relay for parking light flash on remote starter. Parking light system draws more than the output of the on board relay so programmed the output jumper to (-)200ma output (factory is positive). Question is this, I will need supply 2 12V inputs to the relay, so can they just be drawn from the same 12 supply wire from the batt? Also, parking lights draw 15 amps, so how much should I fuse the supply wire at if its operating the relay coil as well?: Sounds like the output jumper can switch the relay coil on the low (ground) side, so you can run the same 12 volt wire to power both the coil and the lights. If the jumper can only supply current and not sink current (though it sounds like it can sink current and you are all set), you will need a separate signal line connecting the jumper through the relay coil to ground. For a 15 amp lights plus the relay coil, a 20 amp fuse is the next larger automotive fuse and will protect the circuit without nuisance blowing. Just make sure the supply wire to the relay and lights is at least 16 gauge or it might get too hot.

Q: I have a 2001 Impala, and my ABS light comes on sometimes when driving and stays on until the car is off. Today I took my car to three mechanics, first a place called tuffy and they told me its my front left wheel bearing and its going to cost my $365 to replace. I then went to Midas for a second opinion, and was that I would have to replace parts on my Brakes and they were going to switch them around only costing my $60. I then went to a third auto shop and was told all I need is a new wiring for the ABS this would cost $61.00. All three had different reason for why my ABS light is on. My light comes on when it wants to and have not been on since this morning, so what could cause this problem?I also hear no loud noises when I‘m making a left turn so could the Wheel bearing still be the problem?Should I just take my car to the dealership?: Other poster is correct, there is a known issue with the wheel bearing/sensor and the wiring harness. I would use a snapon vantage or some other type of oscilliscope and do waveform testing right at the sensor itself before replacing anything.

I will echo the warning that your catalytic converter is not the top suspect. The youngest converter I have seen that was bad was 18 years old and was on a car with a carburetor. Get it diagnosed and fixed rather than throwing money at it. I have never seen a car with a P0420 code (catalyst efficiency below threshold) that needed a new catalytic converter. Sometimes putting a new converter on will make it enough better for the light to go away for a few months, then it comes back. Fix the cause, not the symptom.

Q: hi, i drive a 1999 ford ranger and for some reason my brakes have been really crappy lately. Until you have them checked and the codes pulled further diagnosis isn't possible.
