Q: What should I know about a scooter before I place an order, the brands, models, prices, replacements, and what else? Among all of these, what matters most, the parts, engine, brakes, or just the style?I‘m a motorcycle beginner and want to start with a scooter first.
What matters most? USAGE. What will you be using the motorcycle for. A 50cc scooter is useless on touring the Interstate. A 1300cc cruiser is overkill taking a 2 mile trip for shopping. For general usage, a 250cc motorcycle/scooter is easy to learn while capable of going anywhere.
Q: A motorcycle and rider have a total mass equal to 300 kg. The rider applies the brakes, causing the motorcycle to accelerate at a rate of -5 m/s2. What is the magnitude of the net force on the motorcycle? ______N
With one of these cgi.OKorder .uk/CIRCULAR-TILE-CUTT.
Q: First of all, I have a maybe 1972 honda 350 that probably hasnt run in 22 years, yes 22. Almost everything on the motorcycle is perfect except the throttle and front brake. Both of the pedals/handle, will not move even one centimeter. Would the front brake drum be stuck or would it be the cable stuck. Then the throttle, it will not turn at all and I have no idea how to free that.Thank you for any help here, im truely clueless.
sometimes you have to wiggle it and pull you have the right idea. Try to drive to autozone or advanced auto. They will help you.
Q: I PUT A SET OF FRONT BRAKES ON MY MOTORCYCLE, IS IT NORMAL FOR THEM TO WHINE WHEN STOPPING?
sometimes i don't think it's bad did you get any of that stuff that makes them not do that? i forgot what it's called it's a little packet you put on the brakes before putting them on haa
Q: What happens if air is let into the brake while changing oil.and how do I fix it
put a rubber hose or piece of tubing from the bleeder into a jar of brake fluid, crack the bleeder loose, and pump the brake lever until there are no bubbles while keeping the reservoir full, then tighten the bleeder and see if your brakes are firm
Q: I have a 2000 Yamaha warrior and it starts sputtering and skipping the higher the rpm s go anyone have any ideas how to fix it
You mean to just lift one corner at a time? Then ya any floor jack will work. In fact you cant lift the whole car at once anyways. When you lift up just one corner your only lifting part of the cars weight.
Q: hello i just bought a suzuki gz 250 for a starter bike and i noticed when i move the bike i can hear a grinding sound coming from the front brakes even when im not applying any brakes now when i do apply brakes is sounds like metal on metal obvously i need new pads already on there way but why is the caliper sticking when there isnt any break beeing applyed i checked the fluid level and quilty and there dosnt seem to be anything wrong in that area will the new pads fix these probs and if not what should i do thank you
Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer. The calipers may need to be rebuilt. Gunk from bad brake fluid builds up under the seals and squeeze against the piston, preventing it from returning. Tap the caliper towards the rotor (disk) with a soft hammer, or the heel of your foot. It will push the piston back into the caliper. If that temporally clears up the noise, then the caliper should be repaired. That's one reason to change the brake fluid once a year.
Q: I have a 1981 Honda GL 500 it has a single disc front brake and a drum brake in the rear, the rear brake works just fine but the disc brake in the front seems very weak. the lever feels firm but even if i squeeze it as hard as i can it only applys so much braking power, its not enough to stop the bike in any reasonable time. does this sound like a master cylinder issue? it isn‘t a soft feeling brake if anything it feels too firm, there is brake fluid in the reservoir, i am pretty certain that this bikes braking ability should be better then this what does this sound like to you? what should i check or adjust?
The rubber hose that connects to the caliper is swollen completely closed, or the piston in the caliper is rusted in place, or both.
Q: Can you just hold in the clutch and brake, then downshift all the gears when your motorcycle stop?
No, the transmission will not allow you to do that. You cannot downshift (or upshift) more than ONE gear when the bike is at a compete stop. You can just hold the clutch in and brake to a stop, but you need to downshift as the bike is coasting - still rolling. You should always match your gear to your road speed so you can let the clutch out and take off again.
