Standards of the cables
IEC 60502 Rated Voltage 1 ~ 30KV extruded insulated power cables and accessories (International Electrotechnical Commission standards)
GB 12706 Rated voltage 35KV and below Copper core, Aluminum core plastic insulated power cable (National Standard of the People's Republic of China)
JCS 376 branch cable (Japanese Electric Wire Industry Standard)
Types of the cables::
Standard main cables and branch cables are all low-voltage power cables with XLPE or PVC insulation materials (IEC, GB, JIS, BS ... ...), and PVC materials covered on the outer side. Generally, the main cable is single-core or twisted multi-core cable (cables with two to five cores), the branch cables are single-core cables, and may adopt a fire-resistant, flame retardant cables in accordance with the requirements.

- Q: I need to run power cables from 4 fans on my stacker 830 around the edges of the case and into the power supply for cable management purposes. The fans I currently have, have power cables that are around only 10 inches long. Any ideas?
- Can you solder? If so, just clip the wires then splice on extensions. Add heat-shrink material, solder connections, shrink the material and you're good to go.
- Q: I just got a cheap intel i3 custom pc build on OKorder. But, i have no idea on how to set up all those PSU cables and the fans and everything else (seller thought it was a great idea to unplug every cable inside, which led to me turning on the pc assuming everything was good to go which led to the cpu overheating after turning it on) But anyway, i need to know how to setup the psu cables. My PC looks like a mess with all those cables jumbled up together. There are 4 distinct think cables sticking out from the PSU and all the other cables come from the case or the fans. Some of the cables come with numbers (1, 2, 3) and some are already plugged into the mobo, so i don't want to touch those. How to do this?
- CD/DVD drives and hard drive all use the same power connectors (multicolored), so plug them in whichever way you want. There is no specific order. Don't remove any ribbon cables, and if you wish to have a floppy drive, the power cable is slightly smaller than normal ones. Commonly, fans can be plugged in to any port on the motherboard as long as they reach without straining the cable. They can only be inserted one way and are likely three-prong so it should be easy. The numbers on your cords don't matter.
- Q: UPGRADING BIG 3. ARE THOSE TWO CABLES THE SAME THING ? DOES IT MATTER WHICH ONE I USE FOR THE BIG 3 UPGRADE?
- The wire is the same, just different color so you dont confuse yourself when installing. You'll actually have to upgrade BOTH wires to properly do the big 3. 1. + Batt to + Alternator output post 2. - Batt to frame/chassis 3. frame/chassis to engine block 4. (For extra) engine block to - Batt All in at least 0 awg gauge wire. I've done my in 0/2 awg gauge welding cables.
- Q: can we install power 480 VAC and control 120 VAC cables,,, each one in different conduit but in parallel and adjacent ?also for two control cables ,,,, can they installed in one conduit ?
- it isn't the final thank you to do it. there may well be some capacitive or inductive coupling between the 480 and one hundred twenty circuits that would adversely influence the controls. An unintentional short between the 480 and one hundred twenty circuits may well be a disaster on your controls.
- Q: please tell me and same question except for 6 pin cause i have one of each
- If you buy a high-end video card, it may need an auxiliary power cable plugged into it. It's easy to forget these if you're not accustomed to needing one. The auxiliary cable is probably going to be a 6-pin PCI-Express power cable, possibly a pair of them, and the latest video cards may even use a brand-new 8-pin design.
- Q: I got a PNY geforce 9800 gt 1gb graphics card from bestbuy and once I got it I noticed it didnt come with a power supply cable which most of the 9800s require. Anyone know why it didnt come with the power supply cable.
- You're talking about a molex/peripheral to the 6pin pci express adapter? some come with them, some don't should of checked the box, if it's supposed to come with one then take it back and say that it didn't come with an adapter. A lot of high watt power supplies come with pci express power cables, are you sure you don't have one?
- Q: It never occurred to me that the power cable -- the one connected from the outlet to the laptop's AC brick -- is rated at quot;125V - 7Aquot;. Does that mean it won't be able to handle the 240V in some countries? The brick itself is rated 100V - 240V, so it can be used internationally. In fact, I spent a year in France, where I used my Dell Inspiron just fine (with a prong adapter so it'll fit into the socket). The reason why I'm paying attention to the power cable is because the cable for my Nikon D80 battery charger has a quot;USsticker on it. The charger itself can handle 240V, but does this mean the cable cannot?
- The thinner the cables are, the less voltage they can handle. So since cell phone charger cables are significantly smaller than laptop cables, the cell phone charger cables could heat up and actually melt the insulation.
- Q: my portable HD has 2 USB cables, one for the computer and one for power... why?
- many devices get power from usb. however the new hard disks, required higher current/power to run and it cannot be provided through single usb cable. hence you have to use two cables.
- Q: i just got a new motherboard but after reading throuhg the manual i coudnt get any instructions on which cable goes which way. pls i need some one to help me. all other connections are okay i suppose but afraid to just connect the power, and the reset button cable any how.
- Are okorder ... If so, look on the motherboard, it should be written near the jumpers where the cables connect. They look like little pins sticking up out of the motherboard, all in a group. Just play with it until it works, but DON'T unplug anything while the computer is powered on and running. If it doesnt work, shut it down completely before switching any of the cables.
- Q: My pc don?t start, power cable and all other cables are connected correctly. Any body help me and guide me?
- power supply might be bad.
