Q: i just bought a cobra radar detector and im a bit of a perfectionist. it bothers me that the power supply cable drags from the windshield across the head unit and into the cigarette lighter. i need ideas on how to hook up the detector because it needs to be plugged in to work but not have the cord out in the open. thanks
Mount the detector on your sunvisor. Run the power cord fromt eh detector under the edge of the headliner and down the A-pillar next to the windshield (you should be able to remove the plastic over the A-pillar and run the cord behind it.) Cut the cigarette lighter plug off and wire it into the fuse panel to a switched 12v source (something that comes on when the car is cranked)(radio, etc). That will allow the radar detector to power on when the car is cranked and to power off when the car is stopped. I wired all of mine like this and never had any problems with any of them.
Q: having trouble finding a spot to run a power cable throught the fired wall of a 97 oldsmobile cutlass supreme
Your fuse panel might desire to be interior the automobile, and you will pull a cord off the fuse block (fuse section, no longer battery section). If no longer, you could pull a warm cord off the cigarette lighter. some autos, like my spouse's Honda, have the lighter on switched voltage (turn the biggest off and the lighter is going ineffective).
Q: Why medium voltage power cable sometimes write 8.7 / 10kv sometimes written in 8.7 / 15kv where the difference
1 audio and video line of the problem (red and white) to connect the TV box set-top box that line to the cable or radio equipment store to buy a definite muscle wings can be Jiu sad snow on the line 2 TV bad to find TV manufacturers
Q: The touch in Australia is too expensive so i want to buy one from overseas. Will I get a quality one from Bali (I have been there before) or would the USA be better quality wise? If i do get one from Bali can i change the language? also if i buy a Ipod Touch in the USA or Indonesia can I use a Ipod Touch power cable from Australia with it?
well idk about quality, i mean they all SHOULD be the same, they are from the same company and they're pretty much the same thing...so idk about that, but USA is USUALLY a good choice. I think if u get one in Bali they should have it automatically set up to the language they speak, or else why would apple make them international if people can't even understand what they say? idk what you mean by power calble, however, the standard voltage in Australia may be more or less then USA. There are usually products that you can buy at best buy or any electronic store that allow you to plug you're ipod into a different countries plug so that you can charge it and it wont blow out just ask a representative at best buy ;)
Q: What does the cable (YJV-5 * 6) mean?
ZR-flame retardant Y-polyethylene J-crosslinked V-PVC sheathed YJV is copper core, YJLV is expressed as aluminum core, where L is aluminum. 22 indicates the type of armor armor, and 32. So the full name is: flame retardant copper conductor cross-linked polyethylene insulated PVC sheathed power cable 4 * 16 that there are a total of four copper wire, which each cross-sectional area of 16 square millimeters
Q: I need to select a power cord for a computer and other appliances (like a printer). Power cords usually have their amps and voltage (capacities?) imprinted on the outside. What is the rule of thumb for selecting a power cord and why?For example, if my printer has the following requirements:Power Source AC 120V 50/60 HzPower Consumption - 5W-350WWhat amp/voltage type of power cord will do the job?I am of course concerned about overloading the cord with too much electric requirements.(People who actually know this matter SPECIFICALLY only need to reply; please excuse if the electric language is not used right.)
The power cables themselves don't have much bearing on Power Source AC 120V 50/60 Hz (Your typical household outlet) You couldn't acciddentally plug it into a 220 line anyway. Power Consumption - 5W-350w -- How many watts of power it draws from the socket. Typically the thicker guaged wire is better to use, as it has less impedance or so I've been told.
Q: what kind of power supply cable plugs into the hard drive?
Which okorder /
Q: So I was replacing the processor in my Laptop (Inspiron M5030) and I accidentally puled apart the cable connected to the power button. I couldn't see a clear way to connect it back, and I was wondering if there was any way I could do it myself or would I have to buy a new part? It's not the end you plug into the computer itself, it's attached to the end that's screwed into the computer.
Hope this helps. Regards, GauravS
Q: So I have a ordinary pc with a 500gb seagate hardrive in...and I have another seagate hardrive I want to put in (also 500gb) but do I need the sata power cable since it is not the main hardrive or can I only insert the Data cable for the harddrive since I didn't get any cables with my hardrive do I need need both cables, the Data and power cables or can only use the data cable ?
You always need a power cable as well. The power cables are part of your computer's power supply unit and are never being shipped with harddrives.
Q: I'm putting in my new power supply and gotta take out the old. But there isnt any clips to slide the cables out. I don't want to pull to hard and damage anything. How do you get it out. Do you pull hard? Help me.
Usually the power cables going to the hard drive or CDROM have 2-3 wires that go into a white connector on the back of the device. Sometimes they have a clip to press down, but usually not. What you have to do is use your thumb and index finger and place them on each side of the white connector. (There is usually a couple of ridges sticking out on each side.) Simply tug outwards gradually but firmly, and rocking it from side to side until it finally detaches. When installing the new power supply, take a look on the connectors and you should see that they can only be inserted in one direction, as it usually has a angled corner that will not allow installation if it is upside-down. I would also suggest you make sure that the PC is not still plugged in. Some power supplies operate in standby mode and if you use pliers or a screwdirver to try and get the power supply out, you could fry the boards. (Just be sure to touch something metal to discharge any static electricity buildup on you before handling the PC.)
