- Q: lost my original 7A cable and the uk wire is 2.5A
- The PS3 Slim's power supply is rated at 250W which works out to be just under 2.5A @ 110v. Since the PS3 only draws around 100W it should be OK. If you were using an Older PS3 then it would require more power and would not be safe with a 2.5A cable. Since a new cable wouldn't cost much you should probably invest in a better one anyway.
- Q: I have vtech 5.8 phones that you plug in to the electric socket. It is also connect to the internet. So if the power goes out so does the phone. What phone can you get the will work if the power and cable goes out
- You need either 1. A conventional land-line WITH a CORDED phone. If it's not corded, you need a wireless phone with a battery-powered base 2. If you use VOIP (internet-based phone) you should look into a service provider that gives you a modem with a battery. But really, unless you use a regular land-line with a corded phone, you are relying on batteries which need replacing (even the rechargeable ones) plus it's difficult (not impossible) for 911 calls to automatically be traced to your location.
- Q: i herd that 2 cables in a network (ethernet) cable just carry power. and was wondering which 2 colours or on what side the 2 are.also how much voltage they carry.was hoping to make an easy router mod to stop with the head issues.cheers.
- u mean wires by cables ?!
- Q: Our comcast HD cable box usually has the time and a little red light on front. Its blank and has no power. It is plugged into a power strip that also has the TV and stereo, yet those are working fine. We reset the power strip and still no power to the cable box.Any ideas? Please no rude remarks. Thanks.
- Check your cable bill. You are most likely renting the cable box. If so then take it back to Comcast. They will exchange it for a working one. One of mine did that not too long ago, and I had no hassles exchanging it.
- Q: My hard drive uses 15-pin SATA power connectorMY new power supply doesn't have this cable but instead it has 4 pin molex connector for the hard drive15-pin SATA power connector has 5 wires with these colors and order (white-black-red-black-orange)4 pin molex colors are (red-black-black-yellow)I want to use 15-pin 'connection head' from the broken power supply but as I said it has 5 wires while my new power supply gives me 4 wires!!!!! how to connect 4 wires to five wires head??? one wire has to be canceled i guess but which one?
- as quickly as upon a time, whilst i grow to be going to be on your continent for a jointly as, i offered an inverter that would enable me to run my workstation from a 12 volt motor vehicle battery. As I remember I had it set up so as that the inverter grow to be plugged in, charging the battery, and the workstation grow to be plugged into the inverter working off the mains - till the flexibility died - an unfancy ups, or possibly a actuality in merchandising ups? besides see what you will discover for installation one in each of those rig - it may remedy your problem, or it may be yet another waste of money. i'm able to assure you, i did not spend everywhere close to US$500 on the full undertaking.
- Q: HiIs it advisable to run 110VAC cable from the sub stationa and 110VAC cable from generator (clean) in the same conduit ; one of them for lighting and the other for CCTV; the concern is if the one for lighting is not clean (not consisting of a pure sine wave or carrying interference) would that effect the power line of the CCTV and has an effect on the picture? even though both are 110VAC.the installation is over seas where the power from the station is not consistence.
- if all the wires are rated the same you won't have a problem, but make sure you don't share the neutral with both circuits or you could get some interference. Run separate neutrals for each circuit and make sure your CCTV is on a dedicated circuit
- Q: My system was working fine until today. The bass stopped hitting to the music and thumps in intervals of about 5 seconds regardless of whether the music is turned up or down. I hooked up my system without my capacitor to see if this was the problem. It worked...but only for a minute. The bass was hitting like it was suppose to but all of a sudden it went back to the interval thumping and the power cable got hot to the touch and the fuse inside the holder was melted. What the heck is the problem?
- Not the fuse. You're power wire is too small to handle the load. For 800-1100 watts RMS systems use 4 AWG wire. The main fuse should be the sum of the fuse ratings on the amp.
- Q: What type of cable is the power cable?
- Our unit to do the professional cable tray to the current domestic ranking before 3 I did not see we have this certification ah there is a professional health and safety management system has an environmental management system and other quality management system of other scientific and technological innovation patents have a lot of what I do not see the CCC, but you can do the next try you can log in China certification recognized information network - expert column, consult the above experts, these experts have all walks of life experience, can help to you.
- Q: im curious to know if using multiple small cables to power my amp is the same or better than using a single big one??like do three 4gauge wires give more power than one 1/0 gauge wire? or is it worse?and how do i know if my amp needs more current?? THANKS
- a lot worse actually. if you think you are gonna get a 2nd amp, go for bigg wire an 1/0 guage could beat 5 or more 4 guages, because the current would be very accurate. the only time you split ur wire is to go to a diff amplifier that will draw its own current, otherwise ur probably not being accurate with it. ur amp needs more current if it doesn't stay consistent or if it goes into protection. ask another question, and include statts on ur amplifier like ohm loads and RMS and what fuses are on the side of it
- Q: I have a white Xbox 360 system (elite maybe). I have it hooked up to a 26HD TV in my room. When I have friends over to play, we like to move the xbox downstairs to a 52TV so we can play split screen mode without squinting! The unplugging of cables creates such a hassle, and I was wondering if it was possible to use another AC power cable and more video cables downstairs so I only have to move the console itself. Can someone tell me if this will work if I purchase another set of cables on OKorder and or give any specifications about what need/should buy? Please help, and thanks!
- you certainly can do that. the only problem is that the power brick is like 100 bucks but if you think it's worth it then you certainly have that option. if your tv is an hd tv, then buy an hdmi cable. i got one from the apple store for 20 bucks and it works great. just the power is so expensive.. OKorder is different. if you went to the store and bought a new one, or if you ordered one directly from microsoft, it would be 100 dollars. i'm sure people sell used ones on OKorder or craigslist for much less but it's your call if you want to risk them ripping you off or something. hdmi is the high definition equivalent of component or av cables. it feeds the video and audio to the tv. it doesn't provide power. if you do get hdmi, don't forget to go to your xbox video settings and change the output from standard 1080p
