Types of the cables:：

- Q: The power button doesn't appear to be wired correctly. I press it and nothing ever happens. The only way to shut it down is to forcefully remove the power cable. My PC also does not shut down when I select shut down in the start menu. It just restarts.

- The buzzing noise is not that of a Laptop its rather that of the Power adapter of the Laptop so there is nothing to worry about it you laptop is as good as it can be. But i would suggest not to use that adapter for a longer time because it may cause trouble in voltage fluctuations .

- Unplug the computer. Buy an air cleaner to blow out the dust around the fan in the computer and the buzzing noise will stop.

- If it's just the power cable your missing, it's going to be a very standard IEC power cable. It's the same one that comes on most electronic equipment now (like your PC).
