FAQ of Cast Steel Check Valve:
Q1:I can’t find the type of steel check valve which I need. what can I do?
The chart above only lists out some common composition of steel check valve parts. We may provide other different parts material composition according to the customer's request or the actual valve working condition.
Q2:Which certification do your products pass?
Our products are in accordance with ISO 9001、ISO 14001、API 6A、API 6D、TS CE、API607/6FA/BS6755.
- Q: when there is fire in the building, the solenoid valve is activated but what happen inside the cylinder actally?
- If the pressure in any one zone is different than the other zones it could be one of two reasons; either the pressure is high (usually due to one or more sprinkler heads not poping up), or its low (usually due to a leak in the pipes). Something that could cause low pressure in all the zones are an obstruction in the water line above the valves (unlikely), or a hole in the line above the valve (the water would be filling the valve box and causing damage to the lawn wherever it is located), or leaks in all the lines (again would be easy to identify from the excess water in the ground at the source of the leak). Lastly the valve itself could potentially be faulty. The solenoid inside the valve holds the valve open when electricity is applied across it. If the wires to it are damaged; if the solenoid is bad; or if the valve has any rust or dirt inside that could cause a lower than normal amount of water flow.
- Q: the pressure relief valve on the top of the tank needs replaced
- Turn the inlet off , turn the gas off or electric, drain the tank by connecting a garden hose to the drain valve remove the pressure valve and install a new one.. Remove the hose close the drain open the pressure valve turn on the water open all of the faucets in the house to allow all of the air out of your system have some one watching the sinks it could make a mess, relight the pilot light or turn the electric back on. Remember to use a little teflon tape on the threads of the pressure valve.
- Q: The check engine warning light came on in my car, i went to pump gas and try to start but it wouldn't start. I went to the dealership to let them check up, and they said the problem was the purge valve, it leaked. What is a purge valve and what does it do? Is it common for purge valve to go bad?
- Regardless of vehicle make/model,a purge valve is within the fuel system of your vehicle. It's job is to vacuum off fuel vapors from the fuel tank,to be used when the vehicle is running. It works along with your fuel tank cap,to stop vapors/fumes from venting to the atmosphere. On older cars, with carburetors,it work's on vacuum, when the engine is running. On newer cars, say, 1985 and up [approx.] with computers,it works/ is controled by the computer and at least one sensor.
- Q: just picked up my test results from cardiologist and I see it says: Assessment: 1+ tricuspid valve insufficiency and 1+ pulmonic valve insufficiency Aim 19 years old this test is a year old. (Never went back to the doc to get them until now) the reason I went back is because I feel a slight discomfort in my chest from time to time. Is not pain just discomfort that I get from walking moderate distance or lifting 20+ LB things. Please help
- Shashank has the interpretation all wrong. The information you provided us with only gives details about the Tricuspid and Pulmonic valves. 1+ valvular insufficiency means that these valves are letting a small amount of bloodflow backward into the chamber it came from. 1+ represents a mild degree of regurgitation which is normal in patients of all ages. I have it as well. If you are concerned about the chest discomfort you are experiencing, it wouldn't be a bad idea to see a doctor but as far as your test results are concerned, those results are perfectly normal.
- Q: why can't i just use solenoid valves hooked to a small bank of relays(using relay logic to control operation) connected to thermostats to control a multi zone boiler system? it would work, but can i do it, why must i use expensive zone valves?
- Its just an educated guess but I would say it would cause system shock if a valve just snapped shut as against closing gently. Assuming the system was shutting down as a zone valve shuts the control switch opens and turns off the plant whilst the valve is still partly open. With a solenoid unless you fit a timer to pre shut off the plant then shut off the solenoid you would probably cause some plant damage. Also by the time you have wired all that lot up you may as well do the job with a zone valve.
- Q: also are those air flow limiting valves safe for the air pump to reduce the flow of air, I have one because the air bubbles are just way too many without one and it scares the fish away
- a check valve is to prevent back siphoning of water into the pump if you have a power outage or unplug the pump by accident. I'd suggest checking it by blowing through it the wrong way; if air does pass through get a new check valve (check new ones to be sure they don't limit airflow too much, and that the close in the wrong direction, many are cheap crap and don't work the day you buy them, so check them before you leave the store with it...note: same with thermometers, compare them with each other so you don't get the one that's crap) what you want is a normal air valve, they come in various configurations, one or more valves so as to run multiple airstones and to balance the airflow to each stone or ornament. You should not however just use the valve to limit airflow, as this damages the pump eventually. You can just let one of two valves bleed off a little air; however make sure another check valve is in the line from the tank to the valves or else you risk water coming out of that valve if it's lower than the tank water level.....You may want a smaller air pump or an adjustable one instead.
- Q: And' the valve leaks......Can the valve be unscrewed from the tank for replacement? Or can the valve be serviced with a new gasket perhaps?
- i would not worry about replacing the wsher inside the valve...U can go to about any home improvement store and just buy a new valve for around $10...so if they have a quarter turn valve...those will serve u best in the future plus it is a ball valve which doesnt use a washer but a ball inside turn so it is a better seal...just drain the water heater then unscrew the old one and put pipe sealant on the thread of the new one and just screw it back in and fill ur water heater back up and ur done..
- Q: I heard there are really fine valves, does someone possesses thoughts where to buy these goods? I heard about them on TV. Anybody alive?
- Any plumbing supply shop should have them as well as most home stores, but they are generally for a specific purpose such as at the bottom of a well pick up pipe. Basically a check valve to prevent water from draining back to the well when the pump is off, thus eliminating the need to prime the pump for every on cycle. Al
- Q: I got a new gas stove, but I can't find a shut off valve to take the old one out and put the new one in. There isnt one behind the stove on the line, and i went under the house and followed the gasline and didnt find one down there either. Can any one give me ideas where else to look?
- Well, make sure to re-check the line. Usually and normally, all gas line have a shut off valve. Many new lines have a handle shut off type of valve, others you may need a pair of pliers to shut off. If you re-check and can't find one. Well your only choice is to shut gas at meter, which is very easy. You can use pair pliers or go to your local hardware and purchase a shut off tool. Oh.....and don't forget to change the line. Most corrugated type of line don't meet new standards. Usually, old lines being replaced with epoxy type of lines. Good luck.
- Q: i have a 1987 nissan 300zx and i can get the car to start unless its 40 degrees and when it does it idles hard. is this idle control valve or a fast idle valve??
- Could be.. Also could be dirty. Easy fix, remove the valve and spray carb cleaner in the hole.. Using a small brush, clean the bore that the valve rides up and down in. Also, inspect the valve while it is off the manifold. Harder fix: After cleaning the bore, replace valve with brand new one. Your car will have to relearn the idle after starting with the new valve or after you put the old one back in.. Start car, but do not put it in drive or give it any throttle until the computer has finished making adjustments. - Dave. (Long Island, NY)
