Body of high-performance pipeline ball valve is forged structure.The connection type for body and vice-body can be BB(bolted connection)and WB(welded connection).The WB(welded connection)and the LWB(Fully-welded extended stem)structure isadopted for buried ball valves,as shown below.

As shown in Figure4,there are two elastic O-ring in the valve seat ring-ring A and ring B.Sealing ring A spring-loaded through the valve seat so that the sealing surface of sealing ring A tightly fit with ball surface to form an initial seal.When there is pressure in the system medium,the piston force
produced by the piston force produced by the piston effect of size difference makes elastic deformation of the ring A Ershi sealing surface and ball more closely fit the surface to form a re-sealing;meanwhile,due to ring A in the medium resulted in elastic deformation under pressure so that the sealing ring B is also closely fit the surface of ball for the formation of the second stage seal.When the system medium pressure increasing,it will have an enormous pressure in the valve seat ring A and ring B,so that the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,and then the metal valve seat ring surface and the ball surface sealing together to form a third level of metal to metal seal.

)The assisted valve seat sealing equipment
Based on the actual service condition,medium requirement,sealing requirement,etc.,the assisted valve sealing equipment will be considered to be necessary or not.The assisted valve sealing equipment is a one-way valve installed outside of valve body that can prevent medium leakage and can inject sealing grease into valve body by external force.When the assisted valve seat sealing equipment is required,valve seat ring shall be design and processed with injection grove and hole to connect the assisted valve seat sealing equipments.Such equipment can prevent the medium by the sealing of injection of rease.Refer to Figure5 for reference.

Multi-level structure of stem sealing 
Figure6 shows the stem multi-level sealing by adopting"O"ring,flexible graphite and grease injection;"O"ring achieves the first level stem sealing;Replaceable flexible graphite realizes the second level sealing by the compression of packing sleeve and packing flange;And the third evel sealing is realized by installing assisted sealing injection valve to the packing box,and by designing with the injection groove and hole to connect with the stem injection valve,which can inject grease.

As shown in figure7,there is composite fireproof ring,which are combined with graphite and stainless steel wire in the seat.Once the soft ring is burnt out in case of a fire,the fireproof ring and seat ring will form a piston structure through the spring to load the valve body.That will push and closely contact the metal seal surface of the seat ring to the body surface,So as to prevent a lot of medium from leaking from the burnt place of the seat ring,and prevent the fire from expending.

Q:How do I know if the valve seals need replacing? From what type of smoke can I detect?
A leak down test won't tell you anything about the valve stem seal. It will about the actual valve face sealing in the valve seat, but the valve is closed when performing a leak down test. The best way to diagnose worn valve stem seals is if you get a lot of oil smoke onstart up, but it goes away in a few minutes. A real giveaway on bikes is after the bike has set on the side stand overnight and when you fire it up, you get more oil smoke out of the left side muffler than on the right side muffler. That's because the oil in the valve area runs to the left side when parked on the side stand.
Q:What does the egr valve do?and what does it do to a car if you have a bad egr valve?...what about performance wise?
Read above description, but forget the heating part. The EGR valve was developed as a way to reduce pollution. It always detracts from performance. I have been successful at lowering emissions by using either a platinum, iridium, or titanium tip spark plug. It reacts with the fuel,a dn lowers emissions while increasing power output because the fuel burns more completely, and the spark plug tip remains cooler and more ready to firs again. You can remove the EGR valve. On most cars it is held in place with 2 screws (bolts). Clean the thing out with Gum-out, focus on the internal diaphragm, and re-install it. I've only seen a few of them actually go bad. Also, clean out the base from which the valve was removed. If they get TOO clogged up, you will have to use a sharp object to force out the carbon. Sometimes compressed air helps. On cars that DON'T have an electronic monitor of the movement of the EGR diaphragm (something that will trigger a check engine light), I usually just block off the vacuum with a ball bearing or bebe pellet. Usually, more power is produced since the combustion chamber is now cooler. The EGR valve allows burnt exhaust gas to re-enter the intake manifold. Obviously, this causes carbon build-up and dirtying up the inside of the intake manifold. Use the Gum-out to clean the intake, therfore, as well. Smoother power and better economy will result. Q:I don't know the principle of operation of the butterfly valve. Can I control the percentage of opening by an analog output from the PLC?
A butterfly valve does not have an overall linear characteristic and is a poor modulation controller through its full range of operation. It will need a stout shaft and a tough actuator. It will be most linear in about the 30% to 60% open range. To make a full linear controller, you will need to have the actuator-controller- valve , single source supplier know what control feature you wish to accomplish in the fluid system and what the controlling signal will be. Any cotrol valve is a variable resistance added in the whole dynamic system which itself will have an inherent second order friction loss flow characteristic.
Q:It's just a small 1 cylinder 1000 watt generator but thanks to contributors here, I verified the exhaust valve is pitted after I cleaned it all up with oven cleaner a toothbrush. My question is can I just replace the valve itself or do I need an entire new head? The seats still feel smooth.
You can replace just the valve. You should lap the valve to the seat though. That requires a lapping compound and some way to spin the valve. This is done before installing the spring. Lapping ensures that the valve is seated and won't leak. In the old days I have used comet cleanser and a small suction cup chucked in my drill. Worked fine. I know that is not the correct method but it worked and my mower ran for several years after that. Auto zone may have a valve lapping tool that they will loan out and you can buy some real lapping compound to do a better job. I always enjoyed getting the job done with what I had on hand. Q:according to my study only indurial gate valves have both rising and non rising stem through handwheel and it seems that it doesnot apply to golbe valve and globe valves are only non rising stem. i wanted to know if this is right
The valve in the upper left quadrant of the picture on this web page is a rising stem globe valve. This type of globe valve is common in cast steel and forged steel valves like those used in the oil and gas industry. They can be as small as 3/4 up to about 8 sizes.
Q:I am buying a 2004 Ford Taurus tomorrow and want to know the difference between a 24 valve V-6, and 12 valve V-6...Now besides the obvious difference in the # of valves...Is one better then the other???
The 24 valve has 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves when the 12 valve only has 1 intake and exhaust per cylinder, the 24 would give u more power but will most likely use more gas.

Q:i have a leaky tp valve on my hot water boiler. The valve is rated at 30 psi and 155,000 btu. I can't find one with that btu rating. will a higher rating work?
Don't go by the the old valve, look at the specification tag on the boiler. Do not exceed the temp or pressure rating. If you do, you will only create a time bomb and a big one at that. In no circumstances should you use a valve with a higher rating than the heater!
Q:Ok, so I was just wondering, do you have to have a turbo to get blow-off valves? Also, do you have to have a manual? And are there any other requirements?
A blow off valve releases the excess pressure from your forced induction system when you close the throttle plate. It prevents turbo surge. If you install one on your naturally aspirated vehicle, all it will do is get you laughed at. As for the manual, READ IT! Blow off valves have nothing to do with the transmission, so automatic or manual, makes no difference. Word of advise: Don't work on or modify your car. You'll make it slower at the very least.
