- Q: What's harder a chest press or bench press?I don't know why but I can bench way more than I can lift on a chest press machine. the chest press sitting up pushing forward on a machine drops me like 40 lbs. Is that mental or is a chest press from a sitting position more difficult than a bench press, thanks
- The chest press machine at my gym involves the user pushing away from his/her chest BUT, also pushing upwards slightly. This is most likely the case with yours as well. This is then considered to be an incline press. Since incline presses isolates your upper chest to do the work, you will always lift more with the bench press because there's a smaller fraction of your chest being used to push weight with the incline press. Note: the more of an incline you put to this press (Adjust the incline by doing the press on an adjustable bench) the more a shoulder workout it becomes. You will eventually reach a completely vertical press and this is ALL shoulder (military press).
- Q: i'd like to heat press som letters onto the back of my under armour. is this possible? if yea, are there any special precations to take take? will any store that heatpresses letters do it? thanks for the help
- Under Armour, Dri-Fit and other performance fabrics can be heat pressed, but they are not the same as a nylon or polyester jersey, and that is important to know when you put lettering on. Because Under Armour is made to stretch, you want lettering that can stretch with your shirt without peeling off, cracking or wrinkling. If you take your shirt to a shop for heat pressing, you'll want them to promise you that the material they're using is made for performance fabrics. Ask them if they have a sample you can touch and stretch for yourself. One heat-press material made for performance fabric is STAHLS' SuperFILM. Right now, it comes on a roll, not pre-cut lettering. But, if the shop has a vinyl cutter, they should be able to cut SuperFILM and do your name or design easily. Good luck!
- Q: Why is a coffee press that holds only four cups of water and makes only 3 1/2 cups of coffee called an 8 cup press? I've looked on search engines and nobody seems to know. Either people buy a press and are disappointed to find out it only holds half what is advertised, or they are well aware of the fact but won't clue anybody else in.
- As said above, it makes 8 cups of 8oz. coffee. Perhaps you are using 16oz cups and thats why youre only getting abou 4 cups out of it? In the future, if youre buying another coffee press, read the paper inserts inside, it usually says how many of what ounce cups it makes.
- Q: Yesterday my son's preschool teacher decided to break her contract and quit in the middle of the day. Not only that, but she just walked out and left 15 four year olds alone in the room. Do not be nice about this as this idiot needs any credential she posseses to be jerked. - Hey, I guess it due to heavy weight or when you were exercising you didn't warm up at the beginning. This pain might be due to a sprain in your thigh muscles because originally a leg press exercise focuses and puts most of the weight pressure on your thigh muscles. I advise you to skip using it for a day and make sure you run on a treadmill min. 5 minutes before starting other exercises. (And If you wanna do the leg press, just decrease the weight and exercise slowly, don't go to fast.)

- In the past I have just placed in the petals in the pages of a large and heavy book. Close the book and leave the petals in there. The paper helps absorb the moisture and the pressure helps flatten the petals.
