Q:i was thinking about when i first started working out in my shead with weights i remember i could only bench press about 65lbs and i was 13 now im almost 16 and i can benchpress 120 10x but at one time i could bench press 140 but i quit working out for a while and i practicly restarted from benching like 90, sooo tell me., how old were you when u started working out how much could u bench? and how much can u bench now? and how old are you?
Well, I started at 13 as well, benching the bar, at 45 pounds. Haha. I'm 26 now, and bench around 300-350 depending on the day. Takes a lot of hard work and patience, but you'll get there.
Q:I wasdoing decline presses in the gym the other day and experienced sharp pain in my front left shoulder. Sometimes the pain radiates from the top and along the shoulder blade, but mostly in the area of the front deltoidwhere thepec attaches. I'm seeing mydoc later this week. Advil and icyhot help a little but it aches all the time and really hurts if I raise my arm forward or to the side. Any idea what it might really be?
Did you get a good warm up before doing decline presses? I bet you pinched some nerves on your shoulders due to repetitive strain from the presses. Active rest is essential in order for the strain to heal. It is a good idea to see a doctor to properly diagnose the problem. To prevent shoulder injury, I suggest you keep your shoulders healthy thru Simple Stretches, Range Of Motion and Strength Exercises. This will keep them solid strong and free from possible injury.
Q:I'm 16 years old i weigh 170 lbs and my max bench press is 145 lbs i would like to get up to at least 170 lbs by at least a couple of weeks what workout plan would help to quickly increase my max bench press?i also do take protein shakes but i have not seen much results from them
First of all I don't think pressing 25 lbs more in only two weeks is a reasonable expectation. Having said that I will share a few things that worked for me. - I increased my bench press by improving my triceps workout. They were the weakest link my bench press. - I started bench pressing my max weight one time a week instead of three. This allowed time for my muscles to recover. - I also had success performing three to five sets of the heaviest weight I could press more than six times to failure. These were things that worked for me. Maybe you will have success with one or two of them. Good Luck!
Q:Im a level seven gymnast and i still dont have my press! i really do need one because my coahes says presses help u ALOT to make cast handstand. i think i have the strength, but i just cant do it! help!
When you say press, i assume that you mean a press to handstand. Try it with a spot first, and then get the spot to be lighter and lighter. Or you can try doing them against the wall. Or try starting with your feet higher, like on a low beam or something. They will defiantly help with cast to handstands, because they use pretty much the same muscles and action. Good luck

Q:Now, is it me, or is this workout vaguely effective? Is this truly a genuine chest workout? I have always done flat bench dumbell presses and incline bench presses, and have just introduced the Decline into my workout. Despite this being a new workout for my body, I do not get sore, nor do I feel exhausted. Also, I can Decline about 15 pounds more than I can flat bench and Incline, despite having little experience with the workout. So tell me your opinion; is this a good workout? Is it a true chest exercise? How is it different than Incline/flat? Thanks guys,
it relies upon dude. some 15 365 days olds are extremely large they many times play soccer, and a few play video video games 24/7 and hate actual events. we are all unique. there is not any diverse quantity a fifteen 365 days historic would desire to bench. sturdy.. you will desire to be waiting to a minimum of bench 5lbs on each portion of the bar in case you thru no potential worked out an afternoon on your life..

No, it wasn't designed for that. However, the machine will work the entire chest with the emphasis on the mid pec. If you want specifically target the upper pec, use an incline bench and do flys and dumbbell presses. And, just the opposite for the lower pec....a decline bench. You'll feel the burn in the anterior deltoid if you're working the upper pec. You'll get a more diverse and thorough chest workout if you do all three...flat bench, incline, and decline. It's also worth mentioning that the exercise and equipment only get you in the ballpark and what has the final say in what muscles are being worked is the brain. For example, a bench press uses both the pectoral and the triceps as major movers. How much of the motion is pec and how much is triceps can be controlled in part by your brain. It requires that you understand the muscular activity and can control the muscles individually when at rest. Flexing the muscles individually at rest and with no motion is one way to help train your brain to understand how to contract the muscles individually. Then, if you focus on working the stronger muscle (pec) more fully throughout reps, you'll help prevent the triceps from failing prematurely and keep you from quitting before you have a good pec workout. Where I worked out many years ago we called that putting the mind in the muscle...mentally focusing on the target muscle so it gets the greatest possible workout while saving the weaker supporting muscles for the last reps. you might look at some of the Lee stuff. Personally, I would forget the kit idea and just buy the individual pieces that I need. You could also check EBay or an auction site like that. People at Gun Broker or auction Arms are usually selling pieces of their reloading equipment because they have upgraded recently.
