Q: I bought a used DVD player that didn't come with a power cord or power cable. On the back of the DVD player, the power cable input looks like this:__________|_o__|__o__)So basically it looks like the power cable should have two wires with one side being flat and the other end being a half circle. What is the technical name for this power cord so I can easily find it if I go to Radio Shack? Thanks.
Ask for a 6 ft AC power cord. They come in a few difference shapes so just describe what you did here. If it helps reference Radio Shack model/catalog number #61-2878. Good luck!
Q: I just bought a Sandisk MP3 player e200 series. It come with a USB connector which according to the product manual, its also used for power charging.Unfortunatly, it doesn't work with my laptop. I've tried to used the USB cable to charge but no power transmit to the mp3 at all. I guess my USP port in my laptop has too low capacity.I would like to buy a separate power cable for my MP3 but I am not sure if it is available. I can not find information in the Sandisk website either.Anyone knows that is there a seperate cable power for this model and where can I buy it?
No it charges through the USB cable. You can use a powered USB hub or buy a USB wall plug to charge it.
Q: I had gave my amp a 16 volt input, then there was a spark which came from fuses that got burnt. I then replaced the fuses, rewired it nd gave it a 12 volt input it came on and went on protection. So i left it aside and after a few days i tryd connecting it again but this time it came on and it was burning the power cables no matter what guage wire i used. Any idea why its doing that?
Take it to a repair shop
Q: Can A bad battery or power cable cause a laptop to Blue Screen? Is there anyway to pinpoint the actual cause?
If the battery is bad and the lap top is shut down from lack of battery or power from the power adapter charger it causes the operating system to crash or causes whats called a hard shut down and this in tern causes the operating system to develop corrupt system files. Fix replace battery or use on the power adapter only and re install or repair the operating system using a set of recovery disc made for the lap top.
Q: i have the computer powersupply 400w and i dont know what cable to connect to the car stereo???
if you have a volt meter eather of the black wires are ground you will see a red and a yellow one is 5 volts and the other is 12 volts the 12 volts wire paired with one of the black wires will power your car audio
Q: power cables for 3 phase wire
What about it?
Q: Question says it all.
Shouldn't be an issue. Just like an electrical outlet at home - it doesn't matter if you plug a microwave or a night-light. Both are handled without any issues.
Q: How to distinguish between power cables and electrical wiring on drawings
Cable ends should be marked with cable head symbols, the middle line should also be different from the ordinary wiring. Bv at the beginning of the general wire, with YJV or vv is generally a cable, but not limited to these
Q: Will it work if I put a pigtail (connect the wires by twisting them together) or does that stop it from working properly..
If you know how to do a reasonably-competent job and cover your splices with heat shrink tubing, there is no problem. Note that if we're talking about the cable that connects to the laptop, the current is fairly high (3A or so) so the splice cannot be thinner than the wire in the cable at any point. The splice should be both mechanically and electrically solid. If there's a bulge, a thin part, wire sticking out, loose tape ends, or any other such nonsense, the cord should *definitely* not be used. Any signs of incompetent assembly should be cause for completely disassembling and inspecting the splice.
Q: I only see the power supply (with a cable to connect to the laptop), but I don't see the AC cable. In the specs it only says quot;Cables Included: 1x Power cable - 3 ft.quot;I want to know if it includes the whole charger, or just the power supply to connect to laptop.
The cable from psu to laptop is not removable so the 1x power cable included is the removable AC cable.
