Q: Or better yet is there a 100' snake with phantom power? Can't seem to find anything online.
Absolutely! Currently, we power all of our condenser mics with phantom power through lines that are over 300' long. The power required is miniscule, therefore the current flow to power them is also very small. The voltage drop is what will eventually cause the mic to stop working, but that will require thousands of feet of cable, especially at 48 volts, if that is the rating of your phantom power supply (can be 11 to 48 volts).
Q: I have a Maxtor 3200 and I accidentally plug in the wrong power cable for it. I saw the light flicker on then off. I realized my mistake and tried to plug it in its correct cable but now it won't turn on at all. I figure that the wrong cable must of forced too much energy through it. I have a lot of important files on there. I know that fixing it won't be cheap, I fully realize that. However, is there any hope of retrieving my files at all?
sond a thugh blown it but if you take it to a store and see if they can recover the data of the platters, you may get lucky if you get the right people?
Q: I bought a used DVD player that didn't come with a power cord or power cable. On the back of the DVD player, the power cable input looks like this:__________|_o__|__o__)So basically it looks like the power cable should have two wires with one side being flat and the other end being a half circle. What is the technical name for this power cord so I can easily find it if I go to Radio Shack? Thanks.
Ask for a 6 ft AC power cord. They come in a few difference shapes so just describe what you did here. If it helps reference Radio Shack model/catalog number #61-2878. Good luck!
Q: keep in mind this is a 6 yr old machine, the old roms connected the old way, I don't even know the name of the old cables.....
yah! you can buy a SATA power cable converter. but i don't think if there is a IDE cable to SATA cable converter? is your mother board have a SATA socket?
Q: I live in Chicago, and I want to know if somebody can help me. The next house on mine have electrical power cable, telefon and cable from my back yard and pas my propriety aprox 60 tf, the last two stay on my garage, its legal ?Know haw i can do to move the cable? some codes or regulation, samething? Thanks, Best regards.
If you suspect someone is in violation of the electrical code for the city of chicago call the City offices and ask for the electrical inspector ..ask them to take a look..Better safe than sorry...From the E..
Q: The power cable to my mom's laptop keeps making a buzzing sound that I've never heard it make. I've asked my dad, but he said it was normal. I was relieved until the cable made that noise after I unplugged it. What can it be? It is the power cable itself not the laptop.
The buzzing noise is not that of a Laptop its rather that of the Power adapter of the Laptop so there is nothing to worry about it you laptop is as good as it can be. But i would suggest not to use that adapter for a longer time because it may cause trouble in voltage fluctuations .
Q: i bought a video card off OKorder and i did everything but i don't know if i connect both of the cables to the power supply...i currently only connected one but do i do both…
I can't tell which ATI card that is, but if you mean that it gave you two 6 pin power connectors or something then yes, you really should plug in both since A) it's not good to give your video card less power than it wants, even if it works regardless and B) if you want to overclock at all then it's necessary. So yes, whatever power connectors are on the card should be plugged in with the corresponding power supply connectors..
Q: I just purchased and mounted my 52lcd and I cut holes to run the HDMI cables behind the wall. As I was snaking the power cable, I realized this might not be the best way. Is there anything I need to do (I only have basic 'contracting' skills) to keep my install fire code safe?
The hole should be sealed for a fire stop. That little hole should not amount to anything. If you seal the hole and have a problem with the tv set you are really going to have problems removing the set for service.
Q: On my original PS3 power cable it says 10A 125V, do I have to make sure the cable I use from a computer matches the same?
yes you can due same due its only a cable
Q: What type of cable is the power cable?
Now you have seen what products are not 3c certified? But most of them are fake. Messy on it. Who will check this?
