- Q: Currently I have a 250GB drive and Writable CD/DVD. I wand to add a 3.51TB internal drive
- PSUs with only one SATA power cnnector are quite rare right now; if your PC is up to date (say 3 years or newer) you should have two or more. If not, you can get a branching cable for about $5; that would require that the two drives are close to each other to connect both. You can get a simple converter for even less; that one uses one of the old style power connectors but gives you more freedom on where to put the new drive. You would need another SATA cable, too. Id go with a quality cable to ensure that it doesnt cause any issues with SATA II, which the new drive and your mobo probably support. Check if you want a straight cable or one that connects at an angle - they are both around $10 to $15. Hope that helps.
- Q: My 4 gauge power cable is hooked up to the battery's positive terminal and the other end to my amplifier's terminal. Is it safe to accidentally touch the ring terminal (end) of this power cable? I won't feel any electrical shock or anything will I?
- You can touch it but do not hit any metal with it or you can unhook your battery
- Q: Power cable 5-color line, respectively, what color, what role?
- YJ: cross-linked polyethylene insulation V: PVC sheathed 22: steel tape armor 8.7 / 15KV: rated voltage: 8.7 / 15 kV 3 * 300: three conductor cross-section of 300 square copper conductor Another: such as YJLV Is the aluminum core. Here is not marked what the material is conductor, you can default to copper conductor.
- Q: The power supply in question is
- hey there chris, yeah all psu come with a power supply adapter, although this is NOT a good psu too buy, it may be cheap but it will supply dodgy power too your components, not last very long and not made from quality parts, pc power and cooling, corsair, antec etc make good psu, cheap psu are not worth buying, get one for about 70 pounds, also 650w is unnesasery, i have a gtx 295 and a q9550 and run with a corsair 650w, if you have not that much of a high end system then just get around 400w
- Q: I know there is problem in the CPU, please suggest what is the problem and how much it is going to cost me?
- Power cable into CPU? I guess you must possibly still have some of those dual power connector Power Supply? Those one where you can connect both the Power to the monitor and the input power to the CPU? If this is the case, your Power supply is possibly dying slowly. You need to change the poer supply. However, if that is not the kind of power supply that you have, I guess what you are pssibly talking about is that your monitor data communication cable which you connect to the CPU so that the data can be transmitted through to your monitor? If this is the case, then your monitor is not having any problem, it is just responding to the fact that it is properrly connected. Put on your system and see if your monitor do come on... If it comes on then everything is fine.... Now finally, if all these is not the case, then it mean you have not put your question properly. Rephrase your question so that you can have an answer... except ofcourse you are just trying to fool around...
- Q: ok well my xbox wont turn on anymore i was playing it and it was fine when i put the controller on top of it and moved the power cable and all of a sudden the xbox turned off, so if anybody knows what could of gone wrong or have a solution i would greatly appreciate it.
- Go to bestbuy and see if they are still giving out those free repairs and if that doesnt help get a ps3 because it never has any problems with its power cables!
- Q: I need this for my HD slim that just gets power from USB and my music class the USB items they use suck all the power.but i have a wall USB power source.
- Yes I'm sure this would work. Just solder the red and black wires to an other usb cable and leave the other 2 data ones going into the computer. Plug the power usb cable into your adaptor and It should work. The device is still getting the 5volts it needs so I see no reason why it shouldn't work.
- Q: Hi. I have an iBook power cable and I was wondering if there was a way to adapt it so I can use it for my new MacBook Pro that uses a magnetic cable? Thanks!
- you could try but you could blow your the new computer so I wouldn't try
- Q: even though it lights, its not so bright. its little dim but cpu is not at all turning on, its silent...
- CPUs don't 'light'. nothing ain't - nothing is not - everything is (that's what you really are saying). The power light may 'light', but if there is no CPU function, no power is going through the CPU. Probably a bad PSU (Power Supply Unit). Change it (cheap).
- Q: What is the difference between a power cable and an ordinary wire?
- Many, with the cable where the requirements should be used bridge.
