- Q:My cat keeps scratching the carpet next to our backdoor.Its not the carpet anywhere else,or the furniture.Just that carpet.I have a scratcher thing for her to use,but she doesnt use it.How can I get her to start using the scratcher,and stop scratching the carpet?
- put some sort of tied up sock with that stuff cats like the smell of next to or possibley on her scratching post and put a nasty smelling thing on the carpet till it uses the scratch post not the carpet.

- I was in the same position a few months ago! Some people told me to use double-sided tape but that only worked on hard floors.. and that wasn't even every good. I ended up getting Ruggies or Ruggie Rug Grippers - they have worked great for me to secure mats on both hard floors and even on carpets. They're also reusable- if you just rinse it off, they will easily restick to a new rug.
- Q:I have 5 kids and we rent our house .well it got so bad we rented a rug doctor it took so much of the dirt out I couldn't belive how dirty the water was. It didn't take long for the carpet to dry after we did it but now when you get down next to the floor it still smells like dirty socks!.does this mean I got the pad to wet or maybe I didn't mix the soap right?what can I do to take out that dirty sock smell?
- carpet always smells like a wet dog. lol You can rent the rug doctor again but this time when after you shampoo... rinse with vinegar water. this will help remove soap residue and help keep your carpet from picking up more dirt that sticks to soap.
- Q:I was hoovering today and I took a closer look at the carpet when I realised my carpet is full of little white cm long bugs. I searched on google and they are saying it is carpet bettle larve. But looki g at the pictures of these beetle larve they look nothing like them. To give you a picture they are pure white cilinder shapes that have a sort of tuft on each end. They are a cm long and I'd expect a mm in diameter. Please help
- Carpet beetles and clothes moths attack fibre of animal origin, avoiding the synthetic fabrics. Even synthetics may be attacked if they are soiled by food or animal excrement. The blending of animal fibres and synthetic fibres is now commonplace and make such textiles susceptible to carpet beetle and moth damage. Both carpet beetles and moths prefer secluded areas such as behind curtains and furniture where they are seldom disturbed. In each instance, it is the larva that will cause damage to carpet and other fabrics. Prevention Some carpets are treated during manufacture and should give protection against infestation until the chemicals are removed, either by cleaning or have lost their effect due to normal chemical breakdown. Prevention and correction of carpet pest infestations require special skills and extensive knowledge of the problem and careful workmanship. Protection of carpets and fabrics with high animal fibre content is an ongoing challenge which is now not always possible with the range of safer, less persistent formulations in use in the marketplace today.
- Q:The problem is I am not sure how I will paint the bottom part because of the carpet. What is the easiest way to paint it without having to remove the carpet? Are there paint shields specifically designed for stairs? Thanks

- Q:Okay so yesterday i mixed dawn soap and water together and scrubbed the spots on my floor to get these crusty spots that were left on my carpet from the carpet cleaner. the crusty spots went away but in their place small spots (smaller than the crusty resdue from before.) were left over and they were now sticky! I than tried washing off those spots with anti bacterial wipes which didn't do anythign, i vaccumed my floor twice and today i used a combination of baking soda and vingar to get it ou of my floor. Now i have merely one or two small spots but im aware carpet cleaner is rather toxic and hazardous and so I wanted to ask if it's truly carpet cleaner resdue stuck to my floor or if it's simply the dawn soap that won't come out. Please help for I am rather worried.
- First rinse and blot the carpet ( don t soak just wet to rinse) with white towels or white paper towels. Do this several times. If this doesn t work, then reuse the capet cleaner and do nothing but rinse and extract the water. Do this several times while drying the carpet between times to check. Sorry to say buy using dawn or any improper ingredient in the carpet cleaner was a mistake. Plus the use of a rented or home carpet machine isn t good for carpet. If rerinsing doesn t work , haveing it professionally done is the next step. If this residue isn t remove it will attract dirt.. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL

- Sound absorption effect is good, if the stadium sound effect is good, you have to see a museum, is the need for sound absorption, or need to spread?. Is it a sound that needs to be sucked on the ground or a sound that needs to be sucked, or does it require high frequency or low frequency?. This should be based on the specific circumstances of the venue analysis.

- You're wasting your money having someone else clean them. You can do it pretty cheap following the following plan. Use a deep/steam cleaner, but only after you've dealt with stains. Otherwise the deep cleaner might help them to set in. I bought my deep cleaner for $100 at meijer. The only way I would have spent more money is if the cleaner had a real good moving brush, but I just use a carpet sweeper to brush stains. To save a bundle of money using the deep cleaner, don't buy expensive deep cleaner detergent. Just use the low-suds laundry detergent you already have at home! I do this every time and it works just fine. To clean up other stains, you might have to look up the source of the stain online. For animal stains, get enzymes that break down the odor-causing chemicals. For red wine, mix detergent and hydrogen peroxide and soak a little. This works really really well at breaking down the tannins in red wine. Peroxide works on some other stains too. Spot Shot is the best I've seen for general spots, it comes in a blue and orange bottle.
