- Q: I just put a new sound system in my boat with a sony xplod sub and amp, and also an infinity reference amp with 4 kenwood speakers. The problem i'm having is that i had to run the amp power cable right past the right rear speaker and now i'm getting a lot of feedback when the engine is turned on. Is there any way to insulate the power cable so that i don't get that annoying feedback through that one speaker? thanks-Josh
- You have to move that wire away from the spk. is it close to the spk, or is the wire close to the one for the spk? You may be able to block the amp wire from the spk, by placing some wood of some sort between the two( hillbilly I know but...) The other thing you can try would be to wrap the amp wire with a plastic conduit, od a foam like expanding spray foam could shield it. You can also try a magnet ont he power wire to the spk.(that may take the feed back out of it.) Or try them all at once LOL(sorry but it might work) Just try to get the wires as far away from the other as possible. Hope that helps. Cheers Wiretheworld
- Q: I just bought a new motherboard and it had a 24 pin power thingy, my power supply was only a 20 pin. After looking at my manual it said I was able to do that if I aligned them a specific way. After that PC turns on, the lights turn on, hard drives turn on, and everything else. the thing is the screen stays black and says no signal.I was looking on the motherboard and there is a 4 pin ATX12V1, but there is no such cable that comes out of my power supply. I think the reason the screen stays blank is because it said that was used to power the CPU. What can I do since I do not have a ATX12V1 cable that connects to my motherboard? The only cables that come out of my pwr supply are for the IDE and floppy.
- You need a new power supply. Make sure it's 24 pin and has enough wattage and amperage on the +12v rail to power your system.
- Q: I know there is problem in the CPU, please suggest what is the problem and how much it is going to cost me?
- The power cable goes in the power supply, not the processor (CPU: Central Processing Unit) That's your problem
- Q: How to test internet cable through home power plug, stead of internet tester?
- DO NOT DO IT! = Household power is deadly! - At least, household power will fry cables anything connected.
- Q: I live in the Arizona desert, on a flood plain. Most of the time things are pretty dry. But during monsoon season the area I live in experiences flooding. I am planning a shallow, square, sunken pond. The main pond will be 4.10' L x 4.11' W x 3' deep. I plan to build an 8wide wall around the pond to keep out flood water. The wall will be made of standard red bricks. I plan to make the wall 2-3 bricks high. This would make the wall itself around 5-7 inches tall. The foundation for the wall will be concrete. Do I need a waterproof concrete sealant for the foundation? I plan on installing a power cable for my submersible filter between the EPDM liner I plan to use, and the mortar for my brick wall. Should I use sand between the mortar and the cable to protect the cable from the mortar? The cable will be encased in PVC as well.Thank you.
- You should use a concrete sealant, it can't hurt. Put the cable under the foundation in PVC and it will be fine.
- Q: Physically, I want to know what the cable looks like around the part that plugs into the laptop. I have a kink in the cable around that point, but don't know if cutting it and soldering is an option, depending on how complicated that part of the cable is. The rest of the cable is really simple (positive and negative) but does it get complex at the end?Note: I'm only talking about the cable, not the laptop jack itself. I'm talking about the end farthest away from the brick, that plugs into the laptop. I wanna know what that looks like, and how easy it would be to repair.
- i could take it decrease back and characteristic them replace the device board. you're able to be able to correctly be properly on your thank you to frying it out for one, and a pair of, i does not have confidence that board because of the fact that now there is probable actual harm to it. extra useful to swap the whole board if below guarantee and it may desire to have a socket soldered on it already. If this is not below guarantee, this is an costly restore, value of the board could properly be $3 hundred+, exertions, one and a a million/2 to 2 hours, could properly be $one hundred fifty minimum to $2 hundred. an entire of $500, that could get a clean laptop in case you seem not straight forward adequate you're transforming into to be considered attempting on the place to circulate from here. If it approaches $4 hundred to repair, i could get a clean laptop. extra low priced, swifter and extra handy interior the quick and long-term. the recent it is straight forward to have a guaranty for if this occurs returned, the producer has to repair it at no value to you.
- Q: will leaving the power cable in for my laptop hurt the battery?
- Newer batteries cannot be overcharged but it is not advisable to leave the power cable plugged in when the battery is at a full charge. It will not hurt the battery but overtime your battery will not sustain a charge for as long as it should. My best advice would be to fully charge and let your battery drain to near completion and then recharge. Give your battery the exercise it was meant to have.
- Q: summary of why 'power cables' are bad evidence. what happens to people whose whole life has been living close to power lines?
- There is none. It's a fraud concocted by Green Party extremists to demonize electricity.
- Q: I recently bought a Mackie CFX20 MKII and it came with a European 2 pin power cable but I need a UK 3 pin power cable. On the plug end of the cable it says (16A 250V~) but on the connector end of the same cable it says (10A 250V~) I have no idea what cable I need to buy for this so an answer to what I need or a link to what I need would be great.Thanks.
- Be care full because a lot of european countries only have 240 volts. If you intend to use 110 make sure the mixer is switchable. If it is there will be a switch for the two different voltages. Some are made to work either way but the switch need to be in the proper position to avoid damage from either to much or not enough voltage. I work for a sound company and sometimes we get sent stuff wired for over seas. Some times it has to be exchanged because it isn't switchable. You need to contact Mackie and make sure you get the right cable. I'm sure they have a toll free number and web support. You may need to exchange the mixer.
- Q: where can i put my amp power cable through my bulk head in my 1999 1.8L 16 valve ford mondeo lx?
