Q: I need to run power cables from 4 fans on my stacker 830 around the edges of the case and into the power supply for cable management purposes. The fans I currently have, have power cables that are around only 10 inches long. Any ideas?: Can you solder? If so, just clip the wires then splice on extensions. Add heat-shrink material, solder connections, shrink the material and you're good to go.

Q: i purchased an SATA to IDE or IDE to SATA bidirectional adapter, the problem i have is my PC is SATA and has no IDE power cables for the drive. am i missing something here ? the seller tells me that they have had no issues before. i cannot find a IDE power cable to power the drive anywhere in the PCPC is intel vpro5 1gb ram SATA systemim trying to connect my IDE HDD.thanks: this is what you want. The IDE power cable your referring to is actually called a molex connector. IDE is the type of data interface the hard drive uses (the wide cable).

Q: The green light on the back of the power supply comes on when the power cable is plugged. also, every time i plug in the power cable, the fan on the power supply wants to spin, but it stops. The squeezing noise remains and i push the power button - nothing comes on. Before, it used to come on for a few seconds and then it will turn off by itself. I though it was a virus, so i restarted in safe mode to scan it. The PC stayed on for like 30 minutes and then it turn off by itself. But every since it does not wants to come on. Q: I know Ethernet cable is much more susceptible to electromagnetic interference than fiber optic cable, but is fiber completely immune to it? Q: ok ive been having amp trouble lately. it wont turn on. ive figured the problem today when i got the voltage tester out. I have me Remote Turn On working.My ground is solid.RCAs connected properly.NO fuses are blown. ive checked all of them; 30 amp fuse for AMP, Max fuse under the hood, fuse relay center under the hood too, all good. connection from the power terminal is solid. heres what happened: i decided to move my amp and run the wires under the door sills because i needed more space. so i just had the car off and i disconnected my remote, power, and rcas. i left the ground because that didnt need to be moved.i dropped the power wire and it hit a seatbelt thing, and it sparked once. but not big.nothing blew, but now it seems like my power wire isnt working, my amp wont turn on-keep in mind my amp was not touched by the spark in any way.: Did you re check the in-line fuse under the hood?

Q: i have a 99 T reg subaru impreza turbo 2000, i want to install my amps and subs myself and i undestand the principal of what i need to do i just cant seem to find any obviouse way of getting the wiring kit power cable from the battery to the inside of the car. can anybody help?: not sure about your car, but ford mustangs are a huge pain unless you drill a hole (i know, I cut myself many times trying to install a buddy's system), if your wires are small enough, you may be able to slip it through the firewall for a clean installation, if you dont care about a clean install, you can run it up the hood and in the door XD (a friend of mine did this as well, looked horrible, but I'm a fan of clean installs) I prefer to drill holes if I cant find a hole in the firewall big enough, but be careful where you drill, its unlikely but you may end up hitting something like the transmission, engine block, or something fragile. Q: This is all I got in my PC, where is it?: That's a SATA drive - you're looking for a black connector, something like the one connected to the drive. If you don't have one (the white one that looks like it's touching the back of the drive in the picture is a PATA power plug), you can buy an adapter, so you can power the drive with the PATA plug.

Resistance, and therefore voltage drop, is inversely proportional to the square of the radius or diameter. in other words, cut the diameter in half to 3 mm, the current capability would be 1/4 or 6 amps. 25/4 = 6.25, and square root of that is 2.5, and 6mm/2.5 = 2.4 mm, using only voltage drop considerations. If temperature in the wire is important, it gets more complicated, as you have to consider physical size of the wire, insulation type and thickness, etc. Of course wiring codes would override all this.
