Q: i have comcast. i have the silver remote with the white, grey, and red buttons.i pressed on the 'info' button, and now i cant switch channels. the only button that work are the mute and the volume buttons. iv tried every button to try and fix it, but its not working.help please!!: You changed the input button. this is what you do. when your tv is on, press the cable button on the very top. That will let you change the channel. That happened because when you press the cable button, it lets you control the cable box. If you press the tv button, it controls the TV, not the cable. If you press the aux button, it controls the sound for surround sound. So next time you cant change channels, press the cable button on the top.

Q: A tech came out and said I had to tell my landlord. I do live in an apartment, but I have the wire maintenance plan. I do have an HD box, but the HD doesn't look as clear as it should. The cable is frayed slightly and I did a self install kit. I know what I'm doing, so should the RG-59 be replaced with RG-6? And will charter do it?: This may be beyond your control: When the tech told you that the landlord needed to be told, it appears that the cabling problem exists between Charter's entry point in the building to the entry point in your unit. Which is your landlord's territory, requiring your landlord to make the work request to Charter. Sounds like you've done all you could. RG-59 from the wall outlet to your cable modem is sufficient. You could swap it out w/ RG-6 but, because the run should be relatively short, I don't think you'll see enough of an improvement to support broadband. Wire Maintenance will only support what you have control over, which is from the wall outlet to any wiring in your unit. Now, your landlord may make the request to get Charter to do the fix, but you may end up having to pay for it unless Charter allows the work under Wire Maintenance. Good luck.

Q: I have it hooked up to my Comcast Cable Box and Im trying to record a show. But when I set my computer to record a show such as 'that 70's Show' I have to be watching the channel that it is on. Isnt their a way for it to record something im not currently watching???: Call your cable company or look it up online at there site.

So crank it back up all the way to maximum, but make sure your TV's VOLUME is set to 1/3 scale so you don't blow your eardrums. TV -- volume down to 1/3 CABLE -- Volume set to maximum.
